I did this one last year, but don't think I'll be able to match it due to time this xmas.


However I still what to do something xmasy so I'll repaint this find off ebay with the hope of getting an Ork in a sitting position dressed as Santa, surrounded by presents and Grot helper elves.

I really love painting something up really nicely and then weathering the S*($ out of it lol Just satisfying in a weird way!

I'll paint this little guy and his orcish friend. Something easy and simple to finish the year.

I'm going to give the painting challenge a go! Nice way to round off the year. I'll be going for the Knight Questor - my first time trying zenith(?) highlights, so let's see how it turns out!

Honestly, possibly a bit too far, considering what that day symbolised.

I've contemplated doing it with a Commissar and a guard, but I think it sort of cheapens what happened.

There are plenty peaceful or charming things could be parodied.

Truer words were never spoken. I often find myself assign CT, warlord traits and the like and never using them!

All in all, lookin' good everyone! I haven't had a chance to take a picture of my progress recently, as there hasn't been much(AP chemistry exam), but i'll get somethin' up no later than Saturday.

only problem is: I cut my right palm and had a few stitches to close the cut.
so I might not be able to finish it even though the doc said it takes 10-12 days until I can use the hand again.

Ouch, sound painful!

I'm in with this Blood Bowl Rat Ogre that I've nicknamed 'Splat The Rat' from the team The Grutnik Gamblers (the rest of whom will be showing up in my blog in a couple of weeks), one of the older sculpts but I think it holds up a lot better than many others from the period.

Pretty pleased with the look overall, I think he's coming along to be suitably monstrous!

Looks great so far. If you want to go further, I'd suggest some foliage on the base and some transfers and/or Tau writing on the armour

Hmmm so now I know why December is an Open round. I realised I don't have a free weekend to undercoat my entry until almost Christmas, so I am going to have to change my entry to something already undercoated.
