I thought it might be automated or partly automated with a checker and there's a formula? I think I've noticed that getting 5 votes for an image triggers it (but not all the time, just a guess). One of my images from last month went up just after yours and Nevs, then Zobo's and GiraffeX's previous entries so we seem to have quite a good showing on there at the moment

Glad you liked the mini, I spent quite a bit of time doing site-specific washes on this one. The Homer Simpson quote made me laugh; the paint scheme is a base of Springfield Sky with a highlight of Clearing Clouds, followed with a wash of Homer's Pants Blue!

As for all the other entries this month, as others have said, this was a spectacular month. I think that we should try to get more of these images on the dakka homepage, and I believe that gallery votes is one way to do so, so I'm going to put a few gallery votes in now.

It was a great month, wasn't it? I'm really pleased with second place! Thanks again for the votes and comments, everyone. This is a great little painting community that has been created by Paradigm running these challenges each month.
