Whose that next to the standard? I thought it was five terminators, the captain, and the standard came in the paint set. But I don't know whose between the thunder hammer wielder and the banner. Looks like a servo skull or something on the side.

It doesn’t look like the heavy flamer (Brother Maeklus) is on the box. At first I thought the other 3 where from space hulk, but they don’t match up.

I think the text on that New York Toy Fair box says 9 to collect, so two more than were available in the original Japanese release! That's interesting. Curiously, the heavy flamer model isn't included, and so that makes 10 models in total.

Considering the new, never before seen Terminators coming in Series 2 to the rest of the world, might Japanese Series 3 be those same new Terminators? I'd expect more new minis, but... maybe?

Looks like series 3 is going to be Plague Marines.

Because we were lacking plastic options to field plague marines...
So cool I cannot hold myself...

Noise Marines or Berzerkers as a test pool?
Nope.
More plague guys...

Too bad. While I expected something like this, I cherished a faint hope for Legion of the Damned or Deathwatch.

Well, on one hand, nice to see them branch out from loyalists, even though I wouldn't have said no to some bikes or assault marines.

On the other hand, Plague Mairnes? Eh... Ok cool. Not gonna knock back some variety. But i'll agree with mortar_crew. Bezerkers or Noise marines would have been have been awesome for a real change of pace.

Kinda hope though that some of these will turn out to be alternate sculpts for the DG characters. If that staff is in fact a less gakky plaguecaster, then that would be welcomed. I don't know who designed the baby throwing his porridge everywhere that came in DI, but they need a slap.
Also, hopefully DG in something other MkIII armour. MkII or V would be terrific.

I too would have preferred Deathwatch. I can't help but think that Chaos isn't a good choice for an ostensibly mass market gashapon style release but it's for Japan and not the NA/EU market; if frisky tentacles can be a long running thing there then I guess pimple marines can be too...

Ah you see, Deathguard are all about the tentacles these days. The plague marines are just covered in them. (unfortunately)

Boo. More Ick Marines. Pass.

I would have rather seen Khorne Berserkers if they wanted to do Chaos.

This is what they should have done initially for the Marine ones. They'll be as valuable as limited edition figures, etc. And plague marines are fine - I won't be using them, but it's a much smarter move ----- and they were never going to launch two of their new project armies with this product line.

There's a hobby show in Japan right now, I think.

Death Guard was unexpected. I'll be needing these. It looks like they're continuing the trend of including helmets and bare heads, which is very nice.

Bottom row

Brother Sanyctus

Brother-Captain Donato

Side
Brother Phaello

Hold up, I hadn't seen this image. This is not the same as the Japanese release. Some of the figures in there are new. It looks like there's four melee guys in there plus the flamer guy has been replaced with an assault cannon! The original set had only two melee guys, the one with the lightning hammer/storm shield combo and the guy with the lightning claws. This looks like it has two lightning hammer guys and two lightning claw guys.

I might have to buy a few boxes and sit on them for a year, then start selling them. I can put my baby through college with them!

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Well that plaguecaster is a marked improvement over the DI one.

Just make a FB account. I have one for browsing tabletop groups, it has zero accurate personal info on it - so long as the name you choose could *technically* be considered a real actual name, you're fine.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

That....depends.

For the Heroes stuff, there's a single Looter who can provide. He posts up the exact cost in Yen, which you then need to process into your own currency (or use PayPal, which I believe sorts that out?)

For other stuff, it'll depend where it's appearing, and who's doing the Looting.

I'm having some time off due to personal pressures taking up a great many spoons, and indeed time. But once I'm back, and with Mod Approval, I'm happy to run a thread here to get goodies to the good.

Given the blind box nature, how does that work out if we want specific things?
