It's probably the best version to adapt, to be fair (though Gaiman has mentioned on Twitter that he's not been consulted on anything to do with the film). I'm still not 100% sold on the idea that it'll translate to film, especially in a wider universe.

Even when reading that run, good as it is, I find it really jarring when Stark and the Avengers shows up every now and then, because The Eternals and the things they're dealing with are on a whole other level and it just doesn't really gel with there being regular mortals (or even irregular mortals in nanotech supersuits) involved in that story. They make even the likes of Thor or Sentry seem insignificant, and yet simultaneously have no real impact on the world beyond their own stories, and I just find that a little dissonant.

Especially for the moviegoing public, I think they might need to dial it back just a little for it to land properly, even though we're at the point where you can put the casts of 22 movies on screen at once...

Excited to see She-Hulk especially on the TV front, always thought she'd be a shoe-in for the Netflix side of things eventually... And surely there's got to be at least some hope of her prosecuting against a certain blind lawyer from Hell's Kitchen at some point...

Moon Knight: I liked him as Egyptian God/Batman with Marlene - but got bored with the rampant insanity of later versions...... Interested to see what MCU can do with the character.

She Hulk - Meh in the comics but again happy to see what MCu do

Not sure about the rest........

the tv versions of the MCU have been very hit and miss

Agents of Shield - very up and donw, lack of the links - big and small to main shows and constant annoying focus on Fething Daisy
Agent Cater - great from start to finish - so they cancelled it.
Inhumans - Truly awful from start to finish
Punisher - great from start to finish
Dardevil - Pretty good
Defenders - started well, then became crap about half way through when the Hand ran out of Ninjas and stopped being any kind of threat.
Jennifer Jones - did not enjoy,
Iron Fist - so much of a dick in Defenders did not bother - even with cute sidekick girl

The only one of those Marvel Studios/Kevin Feige had anything to do with was Agent Carter.

The rest are Marvel Television, and they're not making anything for D+ at the moment. They have Hellstrom and Ghost Rider stuff coming, but they're either Hulu or ABC.

Honestly Marvel Television needs to stop like Sony does. The only people to do this right is the MCU.

On the plus side the MCU has established that there are multiple realities now. So they can just do their own Ghost Rider and ignore this TV crap.

I look forward to Ghost Rider, one of the coolest characters in comics, once again being botched in some hideous fashion. What awful thing will they do this time? Can't wait to see!

At least Marvel TV insist on doing Robbie Reyes which is the worst Ghost Rider. I hope whenthe MCU gets around to it they do Danny Ketch with Johnny Blaze being an already established character ala Hank Pym.

You guys forgot to mention Runaways and Cloak and Dagger!!

I saw the first season of runaways and it was pretty good, never finished season 2 cuz it got bad.

Never got around to cloak and dagger, but can only assume it's CW levels of teen drama.

Either way, I will watch any Marvel tv show that comes out. If its bad, I will drop it. that's the nice thing about TV vs movies.

Runaways is only "pretty good" if you know nothing about the source material. It's 2 seasons in and they haven't even actually run away yet. WTF.

The best thing about the Runaways comic is the crash course of these kids on the run interacting with all kinds of parts of the marvel universe. They end up in NY and trying to cut a deal with the Kingpin. A kid joins them called Victor who is a android made by Ultron and thus basically Ultrons son/Visions brother. They time travel into the past and get a little girl that was a child bride and run away with her to the present.

None of the great weird stuff will ever happen on that show.

I found these today. I really hope moonknight opens with this...

Bad Language Ahead.

What are you talking about? They ran away at the end of the first season and spent the second season hiding out in an abandoned... something. Dunno what that place was.

Again, they are supposed to be on this constant run/roadtrip across the crazy that is Marvel. If they are just hiding out in any one place for extended period of time then whats the point?

Honestly, we dropped season 2 because the interesting stuff with the parents was kind of over and the kid's personalities were getting grating.

I was pretty upset that Disney started to pull some of the Marvel licenses from the established Netflix series'. Of all (Luke Cage, Iron Fist, etc.) it was DareDevil that I was most sad to see such a stellar show go after the three seasons.

I wonder if it will reboot or pick up again once Disney unleashes its mega streaming network on us all?

It wasn't Disney, Netflix cancelled the shows because Disney+ meant they were essentially going to start making shows that promoted their competitors.

Netflix retains ownership of the existing shows and has said it will keep them available for the foreseeable, and apparently has some sort of exclusivity in place meaning nobody can make more shows based on the characters for at least 3 more years (I think.)

Plus D+ explicitly isn't going to carry R rated content.

So the chances of seeing any of the Defenders as anything other than maybe cameos in other shows is highly unlikely for some time in any form.

In spite of my username, I've never been able to get into Moon Knight. He's.... interesting, but the crazy gets really tiresome and none of his story arcs have held my attention.

The Vision series was pretty great. What If? comics are often fun but get tiresome after a while.

Kamala is great and I have no idea where anyone ever got the idea that she was being marketed as a replacement for Carol. Carol had taken on the Captain moniker and given up the Ms for over a year before she was even introduced. Honestly, Carol's never been given more attention than she has since Kamala was introduced. Pretty much the farthest thing from a replacement.

Curious if they'll go with the classic She-Hulk or the more modern hulkish She-Hulk. I have to admit, one of my favorite bits of the latest Avengers is Thor having a crush on She-Hulk but being extremely intimidated by Jennifer Walters.

I honestly don't get too precious about source vs adaptation usually - I could legitimately enjoy the barmy Keanu Reeves Constantine for example - but yeah, I've got to say, I'm still gutted at what a huge missed opportunity Runaways was. The show feels like the exact thing the comics (at least the Vaughan stuff) set out to challenge. The elevator pitch would sound the same, but the fundamental feel and perspective is miles off the mark, it's like making a Spiderman movie about how being a superhero is awesome fun with no responsibility or implications for your personal life.

I'm glad folks can enjoy it, saying that. But the way those comics were written, it should have been a slam dunk to get them on screen without sacrificing all the stuff that made them special rather than pretty good.

One of the really thrilling things they had going for them was how off centre their central values and sympathies were compared to other Marvel stuff - the fact that even fans of the show consider the parents the most interesting part kind of underlines how upside down the adaptation is. You're supposed to care about these kids, you're supposed to root for them even though they're friendless shoplifting screwups because goddammit, they know what's right and what's wrong when it counts, even when Captain America says otherwise, and right at the start they make their choice knowing they're going to die for it.

Interesting. Seems like Wandavision is going to adapt the Vision miniseries by Tom King, but they might splice in some of the... drama that comes from Wanda having a family.

Seeing how Disney takes Marvel storylines and adapts them into something familiar yet different, I’m rather curious how this one will turn out.

Start of trailer made me think “oh, it’s a sort of spoof of I Dream of Genie and Bewitched”. Then came the curveball almost immediately after I finished having that thought.

Really looking forward to it, especially if it can match the brilliance of The Mandalorian.

Yeah, it's a real shame that Miles took so long to develop. Those first few issues aren't the best, but I think it was mostly just that he got dropped right into the middle the Ultimate Universe death spiral.

Also, really excited for Wandavision. I'm not sure how many seasons I'd actually like to see it run, but it's clearly based on a fantastic comic run and I think they've blended it exceptionally well with the history of the characters.

I would say Wandavision looks great but truthfully it was hard to have a feel for how good it would be from that trailer. I assume it will be great because I think it is a neat idea, Scarlet Witch is cool, I like Elizabeth Olsen, and - more than anything else - because Kathryn Hahn doesn't pick losers.

I would say this is the thing I am second most interested in, after Moon Knight.
