On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Cheers mate, yes made it sopping wet with the glue/paste. This made it almost blend completely into the surface, then dappled matching white paint around the edges of the paper just to cover any paper edge that might otherwise be visible.

Class act, man. I've always had huge plan for terrain and it looks like I might finally have room by the end of the year. I'm definitely going to be creating quite a few pages of custom signs and posters for it. Have you had any luck with loose and/or crumpled signs? I'm pretty interested in creating different types of litter. I think dsteingass did some work on litter but I'm terrified of that huge blog, I'll tackle it at some point.

Regular printer paper works just fine, there really isn't any magic technique to it at all. Just weather as normal.

My cutting mat on my bench gets lots of glue drops, which creates a bubbly texture, I just pressed the paper against it to get an embossed effect, then tore and ripped it from there, then just streaked runs of washes. The same can be applied to any paper for as much or as little weathering as desired

Aww Thanks Casey!, But I had to Mothball the Munda thread after 450 pages, and the new one is growing too, it's best just to scan for the pictures

Haha I noticed you'd started a new one now, I'll have to get some pace just to keep up! I'm determined to do it justice though, I managed to do Gits' Mantis blog at around 300 pages, the blog view helps since I can choose whether or not to see comments. It's the espresso shot of blog reading! I will be reading the majority of your posts though, come hell or high water. ...Just as soon as I get through Ice Angel's fluff.

Haha, okay well I might skip over some of that. Am I remembering right that you did some bottles and cans and stuff at one point? I'm thinking about sculpting some stuff like that and maybe make up a few moulds.

RSJake sculpted and casted some Nuka Cola bottles, I think he still has them for sale. He may be out of stock ATM. I made the Masters for the Nuka Cola and Sunset Sarsaparilla machines and some other fallout things, they are available through Galorn www.Rivetzone.com

Ok..after seeing Star Trek: Into Darkness..I'd like to redact my previous comment about primitive alien civilizations not building hex-based terrain. I cannot comment further without spoilers

No - but I want to!

What's the link to their site?

there is the main site for them. I've bought some the Dystopian Wars stuff before. Pretty good quality stuff from what I have seen.

Assuming this is a quality product and a good company, I foresee me buying far too much of this stuff!

I've bought a few of their stuff for a couple of the games they do. And I have seen plenty of blisters of some of the scenery bits they do for the games as well. Everything that I have seen has been good quality. Assuming they keep up to their own standards this new terrain will be very nice.

Sounds good to me, I'm already concocting plans using crazy ammounts of the scatter terrain.

Fantastic looking stuff. Weird that a game creator is doing it and it doesn't go with any of their games! The sci-fi game they have is ship combat!

Edit: I wonder if they are going to come out with a 28mm game based on Firestorm Armada! Distopian Legion is based on their Distopian Wars after all.

You could be on to something there CDK. I'm happy either way as long as they keep producing this stuff and maybe even expand on it. I'm almost certain this is the best and most detailed Infinity suitable terrain available. I'm mainly into the smaller pieces, the buildings I can take or leave. This is inspiring though:

MDF and HDF lasercut stuff...we are awash in it, hence the ho-hums in the other thread. Infinity needs alot of scatter pieces too. There aren't that many available yet, so the resin pieces Sparta is offering seem far more desirable to me than the HDF stuff. I can make big terrain pieces. High quality scatter, not so much.

I'd want to see photos of the pieces next to minis so that I may judge the scale better though.

no clue but the stuff looks pretty good. I'd like to see some in person. May have to see if my FLGS can get some in to see.

I'm hoping to find some at GenCon, TheWarStore usually brings the full line of Spartan Stuff, last year they had all the DL stuff in a display case, even though it wasn't available yet.

Aw whiiit! I posted a huge reply here earlier but it must have failed to send or something.

As for the dropships, I didn't want to repost everything the other guy was posting immediately after he did it. Also, I'm not sure I'm that taken by them. I see the appeal though:

Thanks for the photo w/minis. Must have overlooked it on the Sparta site. Scatter stuff looks to be a fine match scale-wise for Infinity. I am guessing the minis in the photo are on 30mm bases. One rarely sees 25mm bases like that-- although they do exist.

Now to make the wishlist...

Minis could be from the rumoured (afaik - it might have been changed to 'confirmed' - I don't play SG stuff or see it much) Firestorm:Invasion miniatures game (more futuristic version of Dystopian legions).

I hope not. Dystopian Legion was disappointing. I mean, if they fixed the casting problems, that's fine, I guess.
