Tactical Marines, Assault Troops, Necron Warriors, and Necron Lords are still supplied on both base types. The specific ruling regarding Terminators is a historical reference. A significant grace period (years) was allotted to players to update their collections. We anticipate taking a similar stance with these models once they reach a point at which they are exclusively supplied on 32mm bases.

It would've been totally fine to say the wording wasn't clear in the policy that models will be allowed to remain on 25mm bases, as you already know they will be. But to ask this as you did (copied below) was disingenuous, because you already received the exact answer!

The email I received stated the following:

This is by no means a statement of what the actual model policy was going to reflect when published. At the time no policy was made for 2015 and when it was published it was a reprint of 2014 which doesn't reflect the conversation I had via email. For clarity I asked it openly on the forum so that should it become an issue, I had a publicly available source in which to site. Email communications, as you probably know, can be easily altered.

Yes they can be, particularly as you did so just now by selectively quoting! The full email is visible in my post, which you also quoted, and mentions a grace period of years after those models are changed over to exclusively 32mm, none of which have been yet...

You are incorrect. All of the Blood Angels range, minus SC, are being supplied exclusively with 32mm bases. There is existing old stock available from retailers and distributors on 25mm, but from GW they are only supplied on 32mm.

From the email, they are considering all Tactical Marines and Assault Troops to be treated the same regarding basing.

That's a discussion worth having, I think, and I like treating them that way - i.e. not considering any forced change until years have passed after ALL marines have been changed over to the new bases, as it seems AdeptiCon is doing.

And to think in 2012 I would have killed to be allowed to use 32mm bases for our team's truescale marines!

Just for clarity I wholly support your modeling policy, I just think a small caveat needs to be added considering there has been discussion in threads here and on some podcasts suggesting that tournaments like Adepticon are going to force players to make the change.

Blood Angel's Devastators are on 32mm bases? What about their Sternguard or Vanguard? What about their Command Squads? What about their Assault Squads? Scouts?

Right that is the Space Marine range as you said, I mentioned the a blood Angels range. As in death guard, sanguinary guard, Bllod angels Tactical Marines. Now this does not have as much of an effect on the BA players, as they do have access to a lot of units that won't need rebasing. But if you look at my original question I was asking about the potential Necrons release which looks to be moving to the 32mm base as well and possibly getting a new warriors box. I have a vested interest in knowing if my Necron warriors will have to be rebased since that is the faction I play and it would have the biggest impact on my army.

Enough. Point has been raised, addressed, and we're ready to move on now.

I was just looking at some of the smaller events, as I don't have anything scheduled for Thursday or Sunday yet, and just found there's quite a few that start later in the day on Thursday . This is perfect for me since right now I'm not planning to arrive until Thursday morning (although I have a separate backup hotel reservation for Wednesday night just in case, since unfortunately the main hotel was sold out by the time I thought to do so).

Any update on HH: Tactical Strike. Says there is a Rules packet with restrictions in addition to those found in the book or so it reads.

@Physh - In the pipeline and on our radar. Packets and rules are going up several times a day at the moment.

Hello,

I sent an email on the 4th asking about my championship ticket. Work has changed my schedule and I can no longer make it for the champions. I know I missed the 1/1/15 deadline for refunds but is there anything we can do since this issue is out of my hands... Stupid work! I have not heard anything back as of yet.

Maybe an option to sell the ticket to someone on the waiting list or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Last year there was shuttle service to and from Lombard from the Airports. I don't see that mentioned on the 2015 website. Is there no shuttle service this year?

I cannot see any event packs for the Horus Heresy events. Have these not been released yet or am I just being dim?

@djdarknoise - The Westin had arrangements and special rates with car services for airport transportation. The Renaissance has similar arrangements. We will get those posted to the website. None of the hotels have a shuttle to either O'Hare or Midway. The hotel shuttles are limited to within a few minutes of the venue for transportation.

@koppo - Still in process and will be going up before of 2/1 cut-ff date.
