I'm looking to pick out a Hive Fleet name for my Nid army and I'd like to pick something that kind of goes along with the trend in the books: A large mythical creature.

So, I've heard of Behemoth, Leviathan and Goliath but I'm looking to pick out a name that isn't among the ones in the codex.

Ones I found that I like are:

Hellmouth (Suppose to be a mythical beast whose open mouth is the gateway to hell)
Tarasque

I've only done a little research and am going to do more. But I'd like to see if anyone had any input on some possible beasty names.

Thanks =)

Not a mythical creature but gives the impression you are looking for.

Plus you can introduce your army in a Vinnie Jones esque voice, and refer to your opponent as a Bitch.

Seriously though, what about Charybdis?

Your Hive Fleet could have been named after it Harvested a particularly beautiful Ocean World. Transforming beauty into destructive horror.

Thanks everyone for the input. It's helped me a lot in helping me choose my hive fleet name.

I've narrowed it down quite a bit. It's down to:

Hellmouth
Scylla
Juggernaut
Typhon
Cerberus
Megalodon

At the moment I'm leaning towards Typhon or Juggernaut.

I'll let ya know what I pick soon =).

Hive fleet Jormungandr would be awesome, just make sure you pronounce it correctly.

It would help if you spelled it properly too.

It's Spelled Jörmungandr.

Yeah, I know I'm picky about these things. It's Khârn the Betrayer, not Kharn. It's Dæmon, not Daemon or Demon.

Only reason I didn't pick Jörmungandr is cause I thought there was a hive fleet already named as such. I could be wrong I'd have to look over my codex again. But in the case that it's not. Updated list.

Jörmungandr
Cerberus
Hellmouth
Scylla
Juggernaut

There IS a Hive Fleet named Jörmungandr, which was featured as a Hive Fleet created by
Phil Kelly about 4 years ago in a WD. They had a black and yellow colour scheme if I'm correct.
They also feature in the latest Tyranid Codex.

Having searched high and low through the latest nid codex, I have not found one mention of this "Jörmungandr" hive fleet.

I have found a Jormungandr hive fleet though, mentioned once on the Harpy Page.

I wonder if they are related somewhat?

Quick question: Does my suggestion for a Hive Fleet Name actually show up to you people? Or did it not show up at all?

Serious question as I don't run Windowz so I have no idea if it shows up for you people!

It doesn't show up for me, which is why it was ignored. It shows up as a ton of gibberish that is all blended in together.

Down to the final 3 (Unless something extra awesome pokes it's head out.)

Cerberus
Scylla
Juggernaut

Nice one Shovan. You got a specific color scheme in mind? My nids are based on Hive Fleet Kraken. But instead of bone colors for non carapace I went for bubonic brown with a good helping of ogryn flesh. Its easy to do and has a nice result. Plus I can always say as the game begins ..

"Release the Kraken!"

Also theres

Balor
Hades
Hera
Hermóðr
Nerthus
Ghul
Sleipnir

Mine are based on Behemoth. They have red skin and I'm debating on what to do with the carapace. I was thinking of doing it black with white highlights and feathering(instead of blue like behemoth) or give them a bleach bone carapace. The red skin kinda makes me lean towards Cerberus. But Juggernaut could be used regardless of color.
