I am in a painting lull thanks to the weather, just wondered what it was like for everyone else?

I typically paint a lot less in the summer, due to nicer weather, vacations, motorcycling opportunities and so on.

We actually have a wargamming table out in the courtyard of our housing complex that 3-4 of the houses have 40k so we all play outside on the table..But I paint a bit during the night!

I wargame much less in the summertime as that is when soccer happens here in the states. Summer for soccer, winter for wargaming.

I think the results of the pole would be more cogent if they were correlated with the age of each respondent... Suspect that for we older gamers activity goes down, while for the young'uns who get a break from school activity goes up.

College for me...I also work but do not let it get into the time I have to play at least a friendly game once a day to test army ideas.

Hopefully more time seeing as school is out but probably people going on holidays may be a slight drawback.

I'm with Gitsplitta, age related question again, summer = far more jobs around the house and on the property, also busiest time if year for work, hence gaming goes down.

Its a decrease as of right now, just moved to Texas. But will soon increase when I get a desk. Its so freaken hot to do anything in Tx so I will be in doors most of the time painting and such.

I was happy to have the time to prime, paint and base a model today! But when i start school i have 21 credit hours to mess with so time will shorten for me!

Its currently hot enough where if you walk outside barefoot you can get some serious burns. 115f and humid thanks to pre-monsoon season. Tied with the heat island affect of a city made entirely of concrete...

or you can turn down the ac and paint like its your life's purpose.

I really only started 40K this past Winter, so I don't have much to compare it to, but with the summer heat and humidity, I feel much less inclined to paint. But then again whenever it's hot and humid out I don't want to do anything that could be considered productive(aka just want to eat, drink, and relax)

For me its the same. I usually did my gaming once a week during Saturday events. So long as there is a Saturday I was gaming. Summer didn't change that.

complete stop for me this year, as I'm moving and gone to Canada, and still have 2 weeks of holiday left after I get back to HK.

I paint less because its nice out and there are so many other things to do in the weather.

There really isn't much of a change. Though who comes changes, since we are a college town.

Its gone up for me this summer, but only because I didn't get a single game in over the school year. I manage to get the 12-8 shift so I can stay out semi late and play with the group a few times a week.

I would paint a lot now but hay fever is a bad combination with paints. Its easier to get into contact with more gamers now though, thanks to holidays and more tourneys / cons around

A slight decrease. People have their summer holidays but that actually means that they are out of town traveling and/or visiting relatives. The regular "schedule" of organizing games is therefore disrupted.
