I personally think it is good but there are many things wrong with it such as the spawn points, not having dedicated servers on PC, the killsteaks they are good and bad, the bad things are everyone try's to get nukes and everone camps to get a high killstreak but the good thing is that it adds a element of fun to the game. i could go on but i wont. so share you thoughts and comments one MW2 here
Attempts by Company Commanders to call down close-ranged artillery fire can result in disastrous casualties amongst the Imperial Guard. Whilst the loss of life is regrettable, the waste of ammunition is INTOLERABLE!
Cons:
-No weapon balance
-Overpowered Kill Streaks
-No dedicated servers
-Bad P2P networking
-Filled with noobs
-Filled with hackers
The spawns aren't a new problem. Bad spawns have existed in CoD since the first game in the series, but were made worse as the size of maps decreased with each successive sequel. You'd think they'd have been able to fix it after 6 games, all of which had the same problem, even the Treyarch ones.
Pro:
... I'm drawing a blank. Seriously. The things I hate in this game probably drown out anything in it I might have found positive XD.
I totally agree with you, and the good does outway the bad

I really enjoyed the campaign, though it was much too short. Multiplayer can be fun for a while but after a while the flaws just become to obvious and annoying. Overall it can be fun for a short time but is most definitely not worth the 60-80$ that it was being sold for when it was released. The community is also 95% gak.
Why oh why does everyone on the internet hate MW2 so much? I swear, it's like you people latch on to whatever game is really popular and want to be contrary with how much you 'really hate it, it sucks, etc.' I think MW2 is a great game. In a shocking twist, I also liked all 3 Halo games. *prepares flame-shield*
The problem with MW2 (and MW1) is that after a couple of months, the rift widens between the hackers/pro gamers and the average chumps like myself trying to play the game, making it less fun really.
I also liked the Halo series, oddly enough.
Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

I think it's plenty of fun, but I play on the 360 so there aren't any hackers. There also seem to be a lot less people spamming 1887's and UMP45s.
The campaign was short but very enjoyable and challenging. Loved the SAS missions, especially 'Of Their Own Accord' (the oil rig one).
By the way, what loadouts are people using? I've found a friend in the FAL w/ ACOG/silencer, with a Stinger for taking down air support and Bling Pro/Stopper Power Pro/Ninja Pro as my perks.
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
The single player is let down by an incredibly poor story. The first MW game trod the fine line between realism and silliness, ultimately it told the story so well you don’t mind that it was a little goofy. The second game is simply completely ridiculous, and almost entirely incoherent. If the first game was Tom Clancy at his best, the second is Michael Bay at his worst. The individual missions and set pieces also wear a little thin despite the short running time - but the gun play is fun enough for the most part.
Multiplayer is a slick, fast affair. Guns feel powerful and combat is a fast, bloody affair. Unfortunately there’s a handful of goofy options (why spend all that time trying to make a game look realistic then hand out the dual pistols and old timey shotguns?), no dedicated servers, and a whole load of hackers.
I got a good few months of playing out of the multiplayer, but I was well and truly burned out at the end, and have never been tempted to go back.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”
Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.
I do agree that killstreaks are overpowered. Any idiot like me can camp for a 7 streak (harrier) wait for it to give me a 9 streak (stealth bomber) and then kill the whole team with an AC-130 and win.
Camping is not something to do with game balance, it's got to do with the player base. I'm sure even if they got rid of the UMP and the G18 and every other gun people whine about there would still be rampant camping. There's really nothing anyone can do about it.
The spawns are sometimes bad, but they're nothing compared to the utterly broken mess that is the map Rust. You literally will find yourself spawning on the end of someone's knife.
The weapon balance is also really dumb. Every weapon can either be used as a spray gun or a sniper rifle. Also the fact that Commando and other such things exist basically encoursge everyone to melee to win. 99% of the time you get the drop on someone they hit the magic button and you're dead.
Kabal of the Void Dominator - now with more purple!
"And the moral of the story is: Appreciate what you've got, because basically, I'm fantastic."
Theres a lot of issues, but i have found that 99% of them disapeer if you play on hardcore mode.
There are a few things that just irk me tho...
Sub machine guns being stupid accurate at what could equate to 100 yards. Looking at you MP5... Or "pistol Sniping"
Hackers being in 99% of games... Some of these players probly are that good, but when you come around the corner spraying bullets right where im standing something is up...
Dont really have a problem with killstreaks, in hardcore almost everyone has cold blood, so chopper gunners and AC131's hardly do any damage, ive seen them get zero kills.
Commando's range is way way to long.
Theres no point in taking single shot weapons, simple spraying 100 bullets in someones general direction is the best way to go., (course this is kind of true irl..)
However some of the cheesy things in normal mode arent in hardmode...
Chargeing a guy and taking 3-4 bullets before destroying him with akimbo rangers...
Killstreaks getting out of hand (btw with cold blood, kill streaks become mostly useless..)
Cons: Spawn system is still pretty shoddy at times, this plays to an advantage and disadvantage.
Predator missle killing you in a building...through three stories. And then not killing someone directly beneath it with only a wooden roof protecting them.
Glitchy maps - I'm lookin at you Fuel!
Pros: All the new weapon options - thermal scopes, FMJ, holo sights, so on and so forth...
All the variety with killstreaks. It always irked me that if I went 15-0 on MW1 there was no "reward". Now I can call in an EMP if I want to (but I run pred., emergency drop, and AC130).
Upgradable perks. It's just that much more variety to the gameplay.
And lastly, NO MORE JUGGARNAUT!
Also, to people talkin about OP weapons, seriously, check out hardcore. Balances all that out, pretty much.
If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

I can agree with that actually. Doesn't outweigh the things that make me hate the game but I can agree with the above.
Wait, this isn't about MechWarrior 2?
MechWarrior = Pwn in all forms. Mech Assault = disappointment. Fortunately I can play Mechwarrior 5 in a few years so long as the guys making it don't botch up the job
Why oh why does everyone on the internet hate MW2 so much?
MW2 is probably one of the best examples of a love it hate it game. In all honesty, most people would probably love it to death IF it had been the first game in the CoD series. But after playing the other Call of Duty series, MW2 utterly failed to be up to par despite many nice new features that were added. It's just not as good as the other games in any area. It lost it's soul to Activision's desire to make money. MW2 is the CoD Zombie so to speak.
Key though, is that most PC gamers will never get over being stabbed in the back and having the dedicated servers swiped out from under them when for years Infinity Ward had never mentioned anything about IW.net and rather sprang it on us at the last possible minute. Hardcore gamers just can't stand how insanely easy it is to be noobed. The PC gaming community and Hardcore gamers have a much more vocal internet presence than casual gamers, and no one holds a grudge like Hardcore gamers

Yeah I forgot about the whole PC thing... I play it on X-Box 360. No hackers there. And as far as campers, all I have to say is the killcam exists for a reason.
I'd rather be sent to prison, be forced to make the metal LR Crusader, then play Superman 64, and be shot in the head and eaten by a bunch of crazed meth heads then play 1 more round of FETHING CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2!!!!
Every Normal Man Must Be Tempted At Times To Spit On His Hands, Hoist That Black Flag, And Begin Slitting Throats.

But in all seriousness, MW2 is a piece of crap. The best weapons are unlocked between 20-50, The anticipation for the RPG kills you, and the moment you get it, you realize that it will never go to where you point it. The Prestige 10 for a spinning coin (Really?). The whole business of presteging is just to keep people playing longer. The aiming is , the radar is , the guns are , the story is , the levels are , the whole game is .
On a lighter note, how many times can you say without being banned?

Haha! You beat me to it! That's what I thought at first too....I was gonna say I thought it was cool that you could get the Battlemaster, Tarantuala, and Elemental battle armor.

That's another thing about MW2, it has initials like MW2 so these posts are almost rampant when it comes to asking about the game, for goodness sake infinity ward, why can't you be more creative with your game initials!
Automatically Appended Next Post: And no hackers on 360, that is funny.

It's okay. I just hate how they got rid of cage matches because that didn't stop boosters, just made them go to other game types and ruin them... HOWEVER it did get rid of the only game type I really enjoyed.
I had to switch to playing free for all where every other game people are boosting and even then if they aren't they're spawning directly behind you.
Commando is ridiculous "hahhahaha you shot me three times with an assault rifle? Too bad that my KNIFE can kill you in one hit to any part of your body!!"
Also, too many pricks.
"You're right, we all know you are."
Tomb World Fabulosa 18/2/6 (Supreme conquerors of Dash's dark eldar )
Watch the lower left hand side of your screen and look for trends in kills, especially with a knife. If the same person is killing the same person repeatedly, switch to a class with sit rep and look for the tactical insert.
The hardest mode to stop boosting in is Hardcore Ricochet Headquarters, when the person dieing is on the other team and the guy boosting is on your team. I just encountered that today, but I just kill the person dieing and destroy his tac insert, enough times and it ticks off either one of them and they leave.
I love boosters only because they're so fun to kill.

So you didn't like ODST and Halo wars eh? XD ( I did, ODST is much better then Halo 3 IMO)
Constant hackers (try and find a game with full teams and no modded content)
Bad connection - Why must it give the dial-up player host!?
camping - not a huge problem, just annoying at times when there isnt another way of going where you need to be.
As allways, akimo rangers / 1887's on a staircase or behind a door, you then get gak from said player when you shoot him through a wall with the help of a heart beat sensor.
The fething parents who buy the game for a 10 year old.
If they want to play it, fine. Just hate the dicks that shout and scream down the mic all game.
Thats about it really, the rest of it like spawns, areas you get jammed in (quary fence gap) and so on are just part of the game you learn to think about, then try and avoid.
Pro'd:
Tactical knife spree's (newly restored love to keep the game amusing)
Quick / no-scoping - Again, something ive taken up to make a change to the usual shoot and duck boringness of the game.
Sniper lobby's - Allways fun when your playing S&D with 5 others against a random team, even more amusing when said games are being recorded and highlights thrown on youtube.
Playing dead - S&D fun all round.
Cold blooded pro, ninja pro, sleight of hand pro.
Wait until one or two of your team dies, then lay down with a tactical knife USP.
Watch as the enemy team walk past (no name shows up, no UAV, no sensor) then stab them in the back. (lay down again and repeat)
Shouldnt have to play about in games to make them fun, but it does the job and keeps the game playable a bit longer.
Also, any 360 players interesting in quick/no-scoping lobby's?
Everyone seems to hate on the heartbeat sensor/silencer/AR combo. Why? It's a stealth class, and it's far more realistic than someone dual-wielding lever-action shotguns.
