Yes, and it is easier than you think at low levels. head east to the river and then follow the river al the way doen south. than swim across the river to the aircraft carrier....

For everything you can, also, its gonna go south and when it does you gotta be there in moriartys to make sure he dont shoot the sheriff.

Well, yes you coulda got out with him intact but it means not saving the girl and then there is no going back later. Did you get the Bobble head in your dad'ss safe? If not make sure that you have a high lockpick skill for when you get to go back.

Yes I got the dr. bobblehead. But I think I did something wrong. I went with the sheriff to confront Mister Burke, He shot the sherrif, but I shot Burke. Then I must've accidentally pissed off the doctor, and now the people in Megaton are now after me. WTF?

in my play i let the sheriff get shot.. i wore his clothes, went into his house, killed his kid and stole his stuff!

I agree with the Skyrim comment as well, Fallout was awesome but ended too quickly for me. Im level 43 on Skyrim and have gotten 90+ hrs so far

oh mighty skyrim, i hold you so dear.. but im only level 25 since the PS3 is also used by call of duty adicts, leaving me what ever mornings i wake up first

In the british version of the game you can't kill children, We tried everything... I'm suprised the american one lets you - but I suppose its only realism.

I'm not trying to kill children. I just need to get back in to turn in quests and such, and pay Moriarty for info on my dad. If you wait, their aggro resets?

actually i can get it as a cd/dvd version for 10€s... but well money is in short suply...so tend to play older games^^ when the job is coming...i think this will be all soved...even skyrim i guess^^

ahh, i remember when i got a new videogame weekly, but ever since i got a ps3 i get a game every half year or so (birthday and xmas) i guess 15ps3 games is just as good as 50ps2/1 games ):

well there were times i bought lotsa games...but this all ended with family... you get a new perspective in spending money then...the kids need new shoes and all that^^

well no kids here.. but i did spend my money to buy my neice and nephew a ps3, so i can play with em across country (: closest to kids i have, being as they lived with us for ever, and i watched em most of the time

that is a nice deed of yours! and a totally nice idea to use the webways to help keep in contact to the strechted out family bonds!

If you want to and can reload it is possible to shoot Burke before he even starts shooting. As soon as he starts to get up just start laying into him and the sheriff will survive, or stand in between them.... You can still get a house in Megaton if he dies htough so it's no biggie....

I love FO1 and 2 SO much, but never played 3 because of the "time-suck" issue.

Also because I have a PS2. I refuse to upgrade because I try very hard to have a life that involves real people, and beer, and other fun activities people engage in when beer is involved...

but you know, sometimes it's just one of those days where you have to fire up GTA- San Andreas and shoot a cop in the face with a shotgun.

Tomorrow I'm going to do some actual gaming stuff. There's a tourney and I've been invited by a few of my IRL friends. I really did not want to go but since I've been blowing *everyone* off (sorry Vic, I know what you are saying, I'm just not there yet) I figured I should at least make an effort.

Here's the rules as they have been explained to me so far:

400 pt limit.

MUST have 1 troop choice, MAY have 1 HQ (but no more than 1).

NO named characters.

NO models with more than 2 wounds.

NO 2+ saves.

NO vehicles with total armor greater than 33 (add front, rear, & one side).

NO ordinance weapons.

At 400 pts the Orks have a disgusting advantage because they can field a ridiculous number of troops (2 units w/ 29 Boyz and 1 Nob each, total 60 models. Other combinations exists for sure, but man that's a LOT of models to kill). I'm focusing on this because I know there will be at least 1 Ork player there that curb-stomps me every time I play him. The best game I've ever played against him was a draw. I know what some of the other guys are bringing (IG and Necrons) and I imagine Space Marines will be in full force.

So here's what I'm thinking... 400 pts would give me:

Idea #1- 20 Genestealers w/ Scything Talons and Adrenal Glands, giving them I 7 and 60 attacks at ST5 on the charge, re-roll any 1's "to hit" and automatic wound at AP2 on a 6. Also gives me an add'l D3 for Armor Pen. I can also use the Infiltrate rule, which really brings the Fleet and Move Through Cover rules to bear. It leaves me w/ 20 points I can't spend on anything, but against anything other than Orks I doubt my opponent would have the opportunity to hit me back in CC. If they have Defensive Grenades, that's still 40 attacks that hit on a 3+.

Idea #2- 20 Chaos Marines (split into 2 squads) w/ 4 Flamers, 2 Aspiring Champs (1 w/ Power Weapon), 1 Rhino. Uses all 400 points, gives me some mobility, and Flamers ruin just about everyone's day.

Idea #3- A day to stay home and drink by myself while playing GTA and screaming excessive profanity at the TV screen as I kill as many people as possible.

What do you guys think? Any tweaks / ideas / etc?

i´d go for option 2...flamers sounds always good...nothing cheers up a day as a roaring fire...besides option three...that is best left alone i think...better to stay in contact with rl peeps and friends... get yourself a beer and not to many.... you sound very spent/hurt...

if you mix #2 and #3, it should be an interesting time. go down play your CSM, then get drunk and kill as many people as possible

On the topic of Fallout 3... well kinda anyway... google "nuka break" its a rather well done web series.

You cannot kill children in any of the FO games.....


The original version of FO1 it was possible but a screaming childrens rights activist group forced them to change it in a rerelease of the game. And I believe it was only the German version of the game that you could do it.....



I have them all and must say that you should read the Fallout Bible for full story and background information...

Ah. Got it. All hail the self-important special interests groups. Time, money, and other resources spent saving "virtual" kids by censoring a video game instead of saving real kids that could have actually benefited from the time, money, and other resources.
