Did you guys know Canada has a friggin desert?

it isnt worth it imo, since it costs so much money.36$+5$? thats a rip off imo. unless you have a horde army or a ton of vheicles i dont suggest it.

I dont have one yet, but if(when) I get Island of Blood I'll probably grab it just for the skaven.

Its clearly situation appropriate, so depending what army you have also plays a big part.

I have around 60-70 orks, a bunch of wagons (looted), and a Mech SM army.

For basecoating, continual layering and washes it isnt bad.
But thats about the extent of it.

If you want more from it, then poipo has the right idea.

No. Just no. The Spraygun is NOT an airbrush people, get it into your heads. The Spray gun is meant for basecoating large quantities of miniatyres at a time, as well as providing washes. It can do other things, but being a cheap airbrush is NOT one of them.

Anyway, judging by the models you've mentioned, I'd suggest buying it.

@ Tim the Biovore, which is why he/she should get an airbrush, it might be a little more expensive, but you can do much more with it, plus from what I've heard it really isn't that good of a quality, especially for its budget.

Tim, no one said it was an airbrush.
People told him to get one, but said nothing about GQ's one being an airbrush.
Its simply a spray gun.

Do a search here for GW spraygun... folks are just mostly tired of saying how awful it is... (with a few exceptions of course).

The flamer-style allure is just too strong; but it's a piece of crap and a pain in the arse with those prop cans.

I'd recommend getting a good 'cheap' airbrush, or just using colored aerosol cans (army painter, or krylon, vallejo, etc) for your base coating. But what seems to be the case with most of these GW-spraygun threads - the decision to get the flamer-crapper was already made.

That's not true! I fully anticipate being able to appreciate a proper spray gun/airbrush now that I've used the GW one! Its just an expensive reference point
