I truly enjoyed this piece, it is the essence of what i enjoy in independent film making. You went out there and did something Hollywood would never attempt, and you made a masterpiece of film. The minimalistic set design and very original sound design gave the movie its very own art style that really changed the way i will look at movies.
This is truly a classic. 5/5 Stars in my book.

Being an egotistical gakker, the OP had it coming. If you start a thread describing your own work as "awesome" and "funny", it had better be the next A Gentleman's Duel. If you need to lie to get people to look at your stuff, that should be a pretty good warning sign that you suck and should go slam your head in a car door as penance.

He's an "egotistical gakker" because he described his post as awesome? Why don't you follow some of your own direction and slam your head in a car door.

You really didn't expect there to be a harsh backlash? The film is crap, honestly. Let's just get that out there, to begin with. On the same page, here? Good.
The issue is that he didn't come out and say, "Hey guys, I'm some kid that made this little movie with my 40K figs. What do you think of it? What should I do better next time?" He plugged his video/channel by pretending to be some random viewer that happened to stumble across this video and absolutely loved it. You know what it's called when stores pull something like that? Fraud. Posters get crucified when they show up with a brand new account, barely a dozen posts made, and start plugging some product or website. In this case, he's gunning for views and subscriptions, not sales. Doesn't change the fact that he's going about it in an entirely dishonest way.
To the OP: Post honestly and seek constructive criticism and you'll get some, with the occasional jerk that just trashes your work. Lie to try and pimp your stuff and you'll get the verbal backhand you deserve. Learn from this.

I'll be fairly surprised if this guy was taking this thread as seriously as you and aparantly everyone else is making him out to be. Even if he was it doesn't warant calls for him to slam his head in a car door ffs.
Whatwhat - I was trying to point out that some backlash was justified, although I fully agree that the personal attacks were unnecessarily harsh. I added the response to the OP in the hopes that doesn't get chased away by crap like that, but also learns how to avoid getting reamed by posting responsibly. Honestly, I did make an assumption - his posting style makes him sound like a kid, which is even more reason to stress those points early.
The reason I brought up the extreme example of fraudulent store-pimping accounts wasn't to blow this out of proportion, but to aid in the explanation of why his method was wrong. I'm a firm believer that a corrective dialogue and explanation of wrongdoing is better than a slap upside the head and a "NO!"

you should subscribe to that guys channel, it is funny, yet has some great wargaming stuff on
I think you and I have very, very different definitions of "awesome". The stop motion wasn't really fast enough to be considered "stop motion" and was more like a faster-than average slideshow. Also, the audio was awful. It was really hard to understand anything, and the voice actors sounded very bored. For sound effects, try finding a free sound effects website - a lot come up from a cursory Google search. I use findsounds.com for all my cartoons.
Finally, you had unpainted models and terrain, and it was pretty obvious it was just your floor. Try some theatrics with the setting, whether it's doing the video on a gaming table or against a printed out backdrop. There are some Space Hulk stop motion videos on Youtube that have that sort of thing.
