Yeah, League's latest terrain contest ends next week - eek!

Easiest way to finish would be to sacrifice someone on it you'll get points for authenticy, and using real blood will make it smell of a true khorne hole-ding (had to try and make that work.)

Good job on the captives. Keep at it, getting ever nearer to completion, you can do it.

Thanks mate, appreciate the cheer squad! It'll be a job for Tuesday or Wednesday, taking the boy to see man of steel tomorrow. Tuesday may be dark aged, with Viking and welsh shenanigans. Playing saga Tuesday night, might give my Strathclyde a go, but need to build them first. Minor detail.

You need to take a pic of that thing against a plain background, it gets lost in the stuff behind it.

Holy nasty mother of...... that is mean as a cut snake dude! love the flaming pool in the middle, so well painted it looks glowing! and that sure is one huge bit of terrain you've done! you should pop it up on terragenesis as well, and i also concur with Gits, we need a shot or seven with a plain background? :-)

Thanks mate, it's wet blended from a mechrite base through reds and yellows, washed cassandra and then hit with darktone. Was going to PVA the surface to create some depth but considering not. Terragenesis? I know it not.

The blood god may have received another offering, but glad you enjoyed the roast, it looked delicious.

the shrine is frightingly big, painted and ...er did i mention...big?
and i didn´t knew someone yet that was capable to hurt himslef while painting a finished built model...?

and showing the latest blood...and then the pork... that is a bit perverse, wouldn´t you agree?

As I say, still needs a lot of detail work. It so bloody (ahem) spikey in places that I just keep catching myself on it. And yes, perversion indeed
Having rushed to get some Irishmen primed, having to skip Saga tonight boo... Still, I shall try to get on with the Shrine o' Doom instead. There is actually a chance I might finish this thing this week.

That was very much the idea, and actually what I've always had in my head building this thing
Been working on the colours on the beast. I'm left with having to do the remaining metals and touch up the reds. Also, been doing the various banners. I hate, hate, hate doing freehand - I'm rubbish at it, I never could draw - so I apologise if these are dire:

Haha, it's seriously impressive how much you are packing into such a giant piece. I don't have the stomach to add that amount of detail coverage to much smaller things.

That's rocking Graven - the details are really pulling this piece together.

i´ve seen worse freehand done mister...(if i want i could easily look to my own stuff )
so fear not... in fact some of these are quite good looking... the wing or the other chaosy banners...but where you lost it was with the nurgle one... that alone looks rubbish!

and i never realized until now that there is a big beast trying to crawl out of the pit...

and now that you mentioned it...that poor IG trooper is indeed realizing he has to perish... and he is doing that in the finest traditions of the guard... ignoring the imminent defeat at all costs^^
