Once my excitation has passed after the news about the DE new stuff, now I wonder: What's next?

I mean, my secondaries armies ara Black templar and Sob. Last year there were some few rumors about BT and now I see some people talking about a new Sob-Inquisition codex.

Actualy all rumors tell that new codex will be Necron, so there are any realible rumors about BT or sob?

More Skaven I believe.

Well Grey Knights are next for 40K but there is speculation about exactly when.

The safest bet would be to sat "First Quarter" which is effectively anywhere between January and March, but most people seem to think January.

And then most rumours point to be Tau to be the next release after that, but that's only a rumour so I'm not sure how likely that is, although there are strong rumours that some of the models are already in production (new battle suits being the one most strongly rumoured).

Way to many rumors right now. I wouldnt expect solid rumor returns on the radar until December-ish. November will be crazy dark eldar - so no 40k rumors. Skaven getting 2nd wave release in January so that will probably leave out December. So actually maybe January we will start getting strong rumors.

Skaven are supposed to receive reinforcements in January, so I guess that there won't be new 40k codexes in the same month. February seems more likely for the rumoured GK..

Was wondering about the GK rumor though. Usually its 40k then Fantasy army release, etc. After talking to Jon Blanche at gamesday when he said he was tasked with Dark Eldar and Bretonian artwork (and showed a little) that we might see something in the future. Well we did with Dark Eldar...yay. So Im thinking Fantasy might get the next army...not sure when last release was but weve had 2x 40k releases for army books. Fantasy i would think would be next.

Black Templars and Sisters? That would be an odd mix. Did you mean GK? We have been told in some rumour threads that GW will not finally make a single codex for GK+SoB+Inquisition

That is actually a really good idea.

With some fluff arm-twisting, that could work.

They already stem from similar source materials and would give the army a whole new spin. Of course, in order to not piss people off it would have to be a codex with the ability to play 2-3 different armies with multiple valid builds for each (BT, SoB and Inquisition with iterations and mixtures of each).

That being said, something really out there and new in the fluff to support this (new Holy Crusade led by the BT and SoB) would make it a real WitchHunters codex.

Having just typed these words, I know that I am summoning someone who will violently disagree with me. :(

Although it seems to be a good discussion (esp the sob/bt idea) news and rumors is for news and rumors, not questions.

Rest assured that if anyone knew anything, it would be posted, we are all enthusiastic mini-nerds here afterall!

i believe that GW tends to alternate between xenos and loyalist 'dex's so if DE are out now, then it would make sense for another maine or loyalist redo or update. since the GK/SoB are probally the most outdated, i could see them getting a redo. however, the hopeful in me prays for a necron dex, since they are now the longest running without an update. but more likley is a splash release for something like BT, since alot of spezz merhines are compatable with each other save for a few special characters bits options etc, they could do those, then follow up with the necrons right after. still too soon to tell though....although if we follow DE time, necrons have another 3 years at least, and the GK / SoB another 5 years.

Well if they made a combined codex, they should either allow you to play with all the models you want, or focus on a specific faction and gain bonuses if you do so.

What about all the nercon rumors? I thought it was DE, necrons/GK, then tau.
