Yes. conversion will be next, I've got plenty of spare arms to move things around and create more dynamic poses. In hindsight I should have sculpted and cast the arms as separate pieces, but hey, that's how it goes.

And that is correct - I never had an original, I wanted one, or two, but couldn't find one anywhere so I decided to make them instead. Just had some pics off the internet and the original Rogue Trader book drawing.

Well of course you can't see where you joined the parts and patched it with greenstuff - you're obviously more than a little skilled in the GS department . The painted up finished product looks excellent. Great work!

All of this is very clever!

Started the second of the 'troop,' same pose but will be different color scheme. Here's a shot of the Green Stuff gap-fill:


And a conversion begins with repositioning arms (this one had been used as a paint-test, hence the multi-colors). The resin is a tough plastic and so required a small modeling saw to make a few perforating cuts before I was able to simply snap the members away from the front-body section. I'll be repositioning the fangs as well.

Measuring up the bit and the brass rod I had available to drill out holes in order to properly pin the new fangs (hacked them off with a small hobby saw):


But before I took the fangs off I made sure to get holes and a pin involved between the front section and the torso-legs section as I want to change that pose, lifting the head up a little bit:


fit is pretty good, but I will bend the pin up a little to lift the whole head up:


More cutting and re-attaching soon.

Your sculpts are always so stunning, I wish I had half the level of your abilities to create things...

Drilling out for the repositioning of the fangs, this is the underside of the facial-area, fangs have been sawn off, the resin yields nicely and crisply to a decent drill bit:

too late to ask if insurance covers the treatment when you`re already at the dentist and sitting/ laying on his chair...bleeding like a cut known domestic animal^^

I fitted the arms on in a test pose but didn't get the pic up tonight, but I'm very pleased with the results and it makes for a very dynamic figure. It will be posted soon.

Next one might have raised arms, throwing rocks or something like that. This one looks much better from multiple angles, which I'll include when showing pics of it painted up.

I'm sure there was an article in an old magazine called "Ambulling Around" or "Ambulling About" which had a scenario where ambulls were randomly wandering around the map attacking both player's forces. I can't find it in any White Dwarf database, was it in a Citadel Journal or some other one-off publication?
