Soladrin wrote: Getting more and more bored of Akame ga Kill as it goes on. The characters are all just boring as hell. Except for main the blue haired villain (I can't be bothered to remember names in this series).
Spoiler:
Honoustly, this series died with Bulat
In other news, Diamond no Ace is still awesome.
Yeah, as I said earlier in thread, the heroes get pretty boring and the villains completely overshadow them XD.
I gave up on the heroes a long time ago. Never before have I rooted and enjoyed the villains so much.
LordofHats wrote: It helps that even Esdeath, and the absolute sadist that she is, is immensely sympathetic solely because if she gives a damn about anything in life other than sadism, it's the soldiers under her command.
And Wave, well Wave is just a badass (and an all around swell guy with 10x Tatsumi's personality).
Spoiler:
Yeah, I was very surprised when Esdeath's shows up after conquering North and she says to send the 10k gold to her soldiers. They should enjoy the gift. And then she says the "To fall in love" thing. Oh man, instant love for the character right there, I don't care if she's a demon in disguise.
Wave is awesome. I couldn't give a damn about Tatsumi and the whole rebellion when the "villains" have Wave and the others
FOR JUSTICE!!!

I'm sure I'll like the show, undecided as to whether or not to finish psycho-pass first or to run them in tandem.
You will NOT speak bad of KLK's suits, either the star uniforms, the Kamuis or the fantastic NUUUUUUUUDISTOOOOOO BIIIIIIIIIICHIIIII (lack of) uniforms.
And you WILL love Kamina. Kamina is one of those characters you should hate. You don't. He's just that awesome.

Not even the DTRs? Those did look pretty silly.
I said uniforms. Not those robot monstrosities, those you can flame away all you want.

Chongara wrote: I also tried to watch The World is Still Beautiful . I have this policy of only getting minimal outline of the basic premise and maybe half a first episode plot summary before trying something. It means I get to have really a really clean first impression but it also means I'm going in a little bit blind and boy did that policy work out here.
It's a shame because the first episode felt like the start of something really promising. Spunky princess with wind magic, heads to a strange kingdom for an arranged marriage. I can dig it. Two episodes later and utterly unlikable boy king can't keep his clothes on and our lead backtracks on her convictions so often nothing feels like it has any impact. What a waste.
Wait, what? Did you watch the same anime I did? That was one of the animes I most enjoyed watching weekly, their relationship keeps improving and improving and not only are the 2 main characters fun enough, the support cast is fantastic. Many laughs because of King's aid and advisors were had. (The 3 old men are fantastic xD).

So caught up with black bullet, Damn I hope this gets a second season, there is a few things still left open for it to continue!
Was introduced to Yowamushi Pedal while in Tokyo, it isnt anything special from what I can tell but should keep following it, only watched about 4 episodes.
Also watched Tokyo ghoul in Tokyo, one I was intending on watching, I have never been so hyped for a second season and glad its been confirmed. The final fight was awesome!
Also wanting to rewatch Kill La Kill, after finding it so amazing I got the following from Tokyo:
Spoiler:
EDIT: Has anybody watched Ghost in the Shell Arise? I loved the other two series but arise seems to go back to and older style, just wondering if it was any good?
Aaww man, nice to know you went to paradise too
Oh, and nice taste. I won the chibi Satsuki too It now watches over me.
GrimDork wrote:Yeah, it's a cute show. It's a bit odd at how well the king of the demons adjusts to being friendly and helpful to customers, but it's pretty amusing to watch either way.
Watched Harlock: Space Pirate. It was pretty. Didn't seem like there was much point by the end though. Still, pretty, along the lines of ff7: advent children and similar.
Slarg232 wrote:So I'm in episode 3 of The Devil is a Part Timer.
I don't think I've laughed this much with any anime I've ever seen XD
The basic premise is that The Hero Emilia drives the forces of King Satan (Main character) back and forces him to flee to Earth, with one of his Generals and Emilia following him. Hilarity ensues when Satan realizes he can't use his powers willy-nilly and Emilia is following him around trying to kill him.
Of course, this includes outbursts from her in public, to which everyone says "Aw, how cute a lovers quarrel!" which only sends her into more of a rage
Since you guys seem to have loved "The Devil is a Part Timer", please give "I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job" a try.
It aired 2 seasons ago and the "evil overlord of DOOM", Fino, was just one of the most "HHHNNNGG" things ever. The plot is kinda similar: The main character was training to be a Hero so he could fight the forces of Evil lead by the Demon Lord. While he was in training, the Demon Lord was defeated so there was no reason to keep training new heroes. Hero program cancelled, guy had to find a job.
Expect plenty of fan service tho the OVA even has some uncensored fan service.

No, he looks like a girl, but he's male, he has to correct some people in-game too. Good luck with this season, I burnt out after watching the SAO backlog because of the Japan trip and haven't touched any anime since. Gods, I should have learnt my lesson after the first one.
Need to find courage to actually start watching this season's good stuff.
- The "OH HAI! *NOM*" scene where blondie loses her head.
The revelation what the witches and the body of girls truly are
- The final fight between the time mage and the mega witch
Really made me like the anime, I just don't think it was as fantastic as the "internet" says.
Oh, and the art style for me is nothing short of superb: The normal animation already has some interesting differences, but the animation when they enter the "witch world" just blows me away every time.
Automatically Appended Next Post: is it bad that in the last three days, I've watched all 51 episodes of fulmeta alchemist as well as the movie?
1 - If anyone is close-minded enough to judge an entire piece of media like Anime because of one specific genre, I am more than happy they stay the feth away from it altogether. Magical girl genre doesn't give anime a bad name, it's a genre, it's the close minded asses that decided because it exists, all of it must be bad.
2 - Nope, perfectly legit It happened the same to me when I saw FMA: Brotherhood. IMHO, it's so much frakking better.

I take it watching the rest on that site requires premium?
I'm guessing you are talking about the Dosh King, Takarada?

No.
One just has to watch these 2 AMVs to understand the glory of KLK
Just don't think about it. Whatever you do, don't think about it.
Spoiler:
Honestly, I've thought and I'm kinda disappointed with it; there's really only two dynamic fights in the entire thing, one of which happens in ~episode 5, the other in ep 23? I mean, if they had had more of like the first fight between Ryuko and the STudent Council President it would have been much more fun.
Lies. You must give daily thanks to KLK

Glad you enjoyed Psychopass! I found the whole thing so good it was ridiculous. At first it all sounds like "Minority Report. The Anime!" but as the plot progresses it just blows the mind.

Next stop has to be Psycho Pass and the new season of Gundam Model Fighters or whatever the name was. Screw the normal Gundam.
I just wish to say I have watched the new Pyscho Pass. It gives me a boner because of how ridiculously good it is. That is all.
If anyone is up for something completely different, I just gave the "Shiro Bako"'s first episode a try. It's an anime about, well, making anime! I know, crazy right?
It starts with 5 girls doing an animation project since they are the animation club and then jumps 2 and a half years forward where we follow the production of a brand new anime. First episode was very interesting. My area is completely different, but damn, how I could relate when the gak hit the fan.

Thank you Rainbow Dash, I now have ammo to use when people complain about certain anime's "Over-the-topness".
Seriously, I have been reading, looking and watching mangas, doujins, anime and hentai for around 14 years, I thought I have seen it all, but that still managed to make me shake my head in utter disbelief while thinking "no way ... "

3 damn years and that arc is finally over XD
Yeah, the monster is finally dead! It was about damn time. I really liked the small One Piece reference
But I have nothing against the author, I'm curious to see what his next work will be.
Welp... I'm happy I found a new job 'cause it seems there's a lot of stuff popping up that's pretty much pointing a gun to my head and demanding my money

Also think im gonna start watching RWBY, it looks kind of insane from that food fight haha.
Dunno, says 92€ for me, no idea how much it will cost in that monopoly money of yours (that's still more valuable than ours ) because who knows what rate they use.
And yes, watch RWBY, I still haven't touch this new season but I loved the previous one.
