i have that turtle for 19 years now

My ex-gf had a kid, who had a turtle, who didn't take care of it. It was not a good pet, it would never come out of it's shell like that around people, probably because he didn't take care of it.

so that is infact a real turtle? i thought it was a schleich rubber one

have you done already metalics? or is it just the flash playing an odd trick on my eyes? the skin looks quite good...

It was sad, her kid just did NOT have any social skills at all, he was very smart, and cunning at times too!..But he could not even make friends with a turtle.

i have very little time to paint due to internship and i want to do this model right. so next week when i am back at school i have a lot more time

turtles are hard to come by these days... they are protected and it is far easier nowadays to get a baby adopted then a turtly bought...

all right now play time is over no more jokes it's time for some serious modeling and painting........

an word update op the squig-goth the armor plates are now almost completely red. the thing is i got side tracked onto one of the hardest things i ever had to do... cleaning up my room.

while i was cleaning up my closet i came across my favorite army i ever started and wondered why i never finished it.... i think i got side tracked as that is my worst enemy.

but looking at the models lit a fire in me and i grabbed the bit box for this project (every project has it's own bitz box and models i plan to use) and started green stuffing/gluing/cutting and painting (all at the same time) a few models.

and truth be told i am only 3 models away from a playable army. that is 1 hq and 2 troop choices. now in most cases that sounds like a lot in my case this means 11 models. by now i hear you wonder which army? what theme.

well my friends you can torture me all you want i will never say that it's a rebel grot army........ o crap
well i will never tell you i use the dark eldar codex........ i did it again

in my eyes grots and dark eldar are a perfect fit. i can see grots fight a good fight at least while there drugged (combat drugs) and i can see them getting better/more confident the more enemies they kill (power from pain). and i see them coming in great numbers a horde of venom's (i just like the little things).

so tomorrow i will show you some pics of the begging kabbal (which just sounds like the dutch word kabaal which means loud noise and that also relates to grots pretty well).

the only pic update i will post is the base model for my achron and that is this wonderful model from the free booters fate range


i replaced one of the butcher knife thingies with a splinter pistol and paint the other one in a rusty, unclean looking blade. so i can count it as a venom blade.

11 mini's for the first 2 troop choices and the hq. that is in theory an army. as i complete the requirements the rules state of me.

in the end i hope i have a huge swarm. somewhere like 9 venoms, 30 whyches, 9 true born, achron, 3 fighters. in a 1750 point list. i also have a very very very wip hemie some where.

i recently got me a box full of goblins from WHFB for the purpose of some day making a nice grot army...but that is another story^^

Grotz have the fragility right, but I'm not sure how a grotzooka can qualify as a lance weapon

Female minis are quite rare- I pick up female dwarves when I see them for my GF, but a female goblin is badass!

freebooters fate has a lot of female gretchin/gobbo's. they have a inocent looking one i try to get my hands on.

the hemie i now have is an old rackham noir dwarf. he is pretty evil looking and the blob of green stuff on his back will be the spine hump thingy the hemies got.

the point with me and GS is that i am not so good at modeling with it. i am better with carving and the likes so i blob on the GS and then i begin shaping it when its harden.

if you can you should try to get your hands on some nid bitz... those claw thingies would be easier made this way...

some odd blobs of GS ...you should do something about the hand of the archon... she has some nasty connection to her pistol...but the skin turned out great...!!!

and one thing i would change is the DE head on one of your grots... it looks way too thin and small compared to his hulking muscles...

but the rest of the gang looks very cool...the weaponry and the poses are very cool! seems that the concept is one of the freakiest and sound looking ones i have seen from such a random kitbash in a long time!
