Sorry, Max. My lack of trying is more reflective of my lack of knowledge of useless trivia (certainly not in general, but in this case). I couldn't come up with a particularly witty attempt, either. some of them... my last one was going postal...tho i like the story the execution somewhat didn´t catch my imagination... it got more and more victorian in setting and i picture the scene more renaissance...

Why are the four elephants necessary?

to hold the pizza shaped discworld above the turtly on a good stand... as if the weren´t there the pizza would topple from the curved back of the turtle...? common sense...everything is powered by common sense and magic...(where the common sense fails magic steps out^^)

beside...there one was a fith elephant...he slipped...but i expect the discworld inthese days was much more secure^^

I forgot about the fifth elephant.. That's so rich.. His ability with satire and farce is amazing. I love them all.....

Cat's don't have the ability to flush, Black. They lack opposable thumbs.

Getting back to the elephants, it seemed more likely that the elephants could more easily slip off of the turtle shell than if the world was seated directly on the shell I mean you can't expect those elephants to stand still or anything; besides what if some of the elephants were female, you know how elephants do the nasty. that is a ridicoulous question... everyone surley knows that one... besides,,, what would be strong enought to support a turtle that big... so the question is invalid...

and secondly besides.... the stand of siad elephants... they have to lift from time to time thewir feets to allow passage of the moon and some minor planets that are spinning around the discworld to allow inspiration for poets and priests...if false at the roots but it is all they have...

and the sex of the elephants is highly debated on... as i recall from the novell of the light fantastic it is 3:1 male/female...

also... to preanswer the next question... the turtly great a tuin is female...as in that above mentioned book she returns to a special site to see their offspring hatch from their eggs...

and as for cats... i think cats should be flushed...i know as i had a cat she used to pee on my cushion and this shows so much malice in thse critters...*shudders*

by the way... pratchett also states in one of his book...that cats just see in humans two big noseholes on feet that are only worth bothering with because of said oposable thumbs to operate tincan openers for food...

That isn't precisely true either, though, Black, As my mother had a cat that flushed the toilet on it's own.....

Ok, so the link to my life has died....


The Blackberry o' Dakka Doom has finally bit the bullet from so many years of being mistreated, dropped and abused....

I know I am being lazy, today and tomorrow I am working on the Electro-Hawk. Friday is Release day for the newest M:TG expansion and Saturday and SUnday is dedicated to Electro-Hawk as well.

I will be working on the weapons for the Loyalist Reaver in between in spurts, but not priority, so to speak....

Yes, that was quite douchey actually.
