lol ooook so I wanted to show this off and give you guys a story to read xD
I have 2 friends that play(ed) Necrons
my first friend started about 6 years ago along with about 4 others
he and the rest were cocky (so was I) on how our army was the best in the world and would destroy anything that stood before us
He thought his necrons were the coolest things to happen to Warhammer 40k and said they were from the "east planes of Africa" which we
always laughed at so he gave them this "desert" theme which sounds like it would be cool right? I mean necrons arising from the desert!
well fast forward 6 years after many many warhammer battles with all of us. he got a DUI and always made excuses why he can't play anymore
so like his twin brother they both quit and for some reason still talks trash that their armies were the best yet all they do is watch the rest of us
and some new friends that joined play.
So he ended up giving my friend (who is the 2nd necron player) his necrons because they got scattered and thrown, lost etc all over so what was left he gave.
my 2nd friend now plays chaos (my first real 40k army) and I play vanilla marines as my main army now.
so he gave me a deal. 10 Khorne berserkers and $10 for EVERYTHING it was a deal I couldn't pass up.
I got: a long road ahead of me to fix these things up.........
2 Monoliths
8 wraiths
34 warriors
8 immortals
6 scarab swarms
3 destroyers
1 destroyer lord with res orb
1 necron lord
1/2 a nightbringer (LOL JUST WAIT!)
3 Pariahs ---hahahahah
but there is a catch..........
THESE KIDS AND ALLLLLL OF MY FRIENDS ARE TERRIBLE AT MODELING IN EVER FORM POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE GLUE CRAZY!!! THICK PAINT CRAZY!!!
AND LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! here is the horror to behold!!!!!!!

You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood.
Lol - ordinary... Good luck with this stuff! After trying to repair a badly painted/built predator, my strong recommendation is to go with a really weathered look.
It allows a degree of flexibility to 'cover up' those 'unrepairable' errors. Luckily Necrons Fluff and models lend themselves well to rust, corrosion and dirt!

Superglue blobs trim right off, same with greenstuff that hasn't been double donbed (obviously the original modeler did not do this) so it should only be a matter of time and patience.
10 bones for all that is INSANE. Even if you just chopped off the usable parts for later use in conversions. I'm honestly jealous.
I'd gladly pay $10 just for the decent condition skeletal and mechanical bitz that are visible in the picture. Gawd you made out like a bandit. Zerker models kinda suck anyway IMO.

haha thanks guys! yeah I def got a good deal! but the work will also give me more of a bond with the models if you will.
since I can unmake them and then remake them mine.
the big clumps of glue crack off easy because they abused that accelerator on the glue
but digging it out of the joints is A little tricky I use a small drill to just take it out nice and fast without damaging the model.
i'll post some update photos soon.

when a model would break (and wraiths ALWAYS do unless you pin them and they NEVER DID) they would solve that problem with more glue.... without scraping the old glue off mind you so it builds up

Would write off the monoliths straight away, those are garbage, just keep the immortals and wraiths. It looks like there are a fair few immortals there so your £7 was well spent from the get go. Stick the metal in gun cleaner and joyfully peel away. If you do attempt to salvage the plastic, you shouldn't, nothing less than a TINY bit of white spirit with PLENTY of rinsing is gonna make a dent. As an aside the quality of the paint matte finish/opacity is excellent, i'm serious lol. What type of paint was it?

There's tons of good stuff you can strip plastic with. I personally use acetone FREE nail polish remover, but it's stinky. There's a plethora of cleaning products which work well. The metal stuff will strip hella easy, and depending of what you use to strip them, it can even melt the glue for you too.
Good luck with this, $10 is a steal for that lot! Good luck and keep posting pics!
Doesn't help the fact the monos are horrendously put together i say cannibilise the flux arcs and junk the rest of the two. What are the warriors like? You want to be very careful with solvent on plastic, small amounts can strip the paint but you must rinse every 30 seconds or so and not let it touch bear plastic or all hell will break loose.

I see Simple Green in your future. It won't attack plastic, and it will remove most of that paint with repeated soak/wash/scrub treatment. Also it doesn't attack hands, doesn't give off deadly or foul gasses and is eco-friendly. looking at that mass get a descent sized plastic container, a gallon of Simple Green, a toothbrush, and a sink and you can get them done by the end of the week.
wow, did zap-a-gap sponsor them to put these together or something>??? I think much of the models are salvagable, just have to strip and repaint with paints that dont have the consistency of guacamole!

Soaking it in undiluted Simple Green for a couple of days makes the bond on superglue come loose from metal/plastic as well.
