There's hope for them yet inasmuch that the one you painted over wound up looking better. I still think you should strip the entire lot and start over as freash as you can. Coming from a guy that has re-painted some models an embarrassing number of times, there comes the moment where detail is not only obscured, it vanishes completely.

looks like with time and elbow grease it should all be salvageable to a tabletop playing standard at least.

Its funny, that model on most work blogs would be pretty lack luster, but based on what it started as I'd say its a great looking mini. If you are going to strip them you should have your friend come and watch as all his paint and glue melts.

Haha. Collect all the paint and acetone and weigh it ona scale.

Well of course it doesnt hold up, its meant for plastic. Plastic glue melts the pastics, and so when they dry they are literally 1 piece now. Metal, doesnt melt so well

I'm just saying it's good to have both.
