It is easy to loathe somewhere but a bit harder to find what it is you like. The grass always seems to be greener on t'other side of the fence to some.

So, dig deep, be positive and find the good stuff about where you live.

Here's mine, although it might seem stereotypical to some, the fields and views around the lake District is bloomin marvelous no matter what time of year it is :

I like that most of the time, people in ireland are pretty friendly and helpful to strangers. I like that we have free education (at the moment) and I like the pace of life in the countryside. I also love the countryside itself.

What I love about Canada/Kamloops:

1. I love the snow especially sledding, snow fights, snow men, snow forts, snow angels, etc, etc...
2. The hot, dry summers of Kamloops (it isn't humid here).
3. All the attractive ladies in skimpy clothes, that dot the city during summer.
4. The cowboy theme to Kamloops and it's desert-like geography.
5. The beach.
6. Maple syrup and tourtiere pie (have yet to try poutines).
7. The diverse range of geography/people throughout the country.

The multi-cultural society that (aside from a few fethwits determined to prove otherwise) does actually work. Some cultures do need to learn to integrate more but this will come with future generations.

I love what my country stands for. Freedom, equality, justice, and hope. I'm always saddened when we fail to live up to our ideals. America feth yeah!

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

...urrrr... I dunno

The lake district, and some of the cheeses. Also the ales, pubs and most of the people. I've met some really nice people on my travails, and I'm sure glad I had the chance to.
Finally, the wonderful eccentricity of some of the British. Oh, sure, you might think nowadays that it's all but gone, but it's still there.
Where else would the sport of Cheese-Rolling be considered valid?

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I love the ocean which is a few hundred metres away. I love the fact that I can buy a beer out of vending machine on the street and drink it in front of said vending machine. I love that I am the largest land mammal in every direction for about 10 km. I love the woman around here. I love freaking people out by speaking to them in their native language. I love the stars and the milky way you can see crisply on clear nights. I love the fact that I can see Venus in the mornings now before sunrise from my kitchen.

Then there was Canada...Snow, BS and crappy dead-end $9/hr jobs.

Basically this. Britain's just Britain, and I will love it forever, for all it's faults.

BUT!

A few places/things which I am particularly fond of:

The Boro!

And the Parmo!

And slags!

Also, Manchester:

And quaffing pints of ale. All good things.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

WHAT DO I LOVE ABOUT CANADA? THIS COUNTRY CANADA THIS GREAT COUNTRY OF OURS.

Actually now that I mention it my thermostat is actually literally not working for some reason I just noticed yesterday, and it is literally quite fething cold in here.

But BESIDES THAT.

Actually I can't stand it when they salt the roads tbh it just seems so "Gotham City" if you noe what I am saying. Like it is not fething cold enough we have to put toxic gak on our roads we walk on for five months of the year.

BUT BESIDES THAT WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LOVE ABOUT THIS GREAT COUNTRY, THIS COUNTRY CANADA OF HOURS.

Not fething much.

I'm going to bed.

Happy Cataclysm! to those who celebrate.

Albatross has very similiar likes as I do,

The Boro, may be a hell hole to look at sometimes, and you may get stabbed in the face by a disgruntled chavling, but it has it's charms in there

And Parmo's are definate yes, shame the southerners have no idea what one is !

And one more thing I love, the Lake district, one of the best damn parts of the UK

I also like the British Museum, simply because it shows how the UK would just take things from other countries. (I'm sure we still do that)

I'd forgotten all about the Parmo. Well, most of my trips to The Boro I had forgotten about purely because I was always hammered and was then couped up during the daylight hours studying.

Ah, the smell of the parmos, stale alcohol and the whiff of cordite in the air. Ambulance training was never so much fun.

If I am not in my room, is it still my room?

What do I love about America?

- That it covers such a vast swath of land that I can experience any climate, any kind of geography I want, and never have to leave the country.
- People are (from my own personal experience) friendlier than in most other countries. Well Europe, at least. I've never been to South America, Africa, Australia, etc.
- It is a generally speaking a pretty safe place to live when compared with other places in the world.
- Stuff is cheaper here.
- IT'S MOTHER FETHING AMERICA. EVRY1 LUVS AMURCA!!11! UUUEEEE USSSSS AYYYYY
