I've taken a few better pictures of my Necron forces, although the focus isn't great on some photos :( Also the eyes look better on most of them as there is more contrast between the Verdigris and the eyeball
To start with, here's the full Blue (blurry) Squad of Warriors
Immortals, blue has become my favourite colour for my Necrons.
One of my new Destroyers
The first of my Flayed Ones (these guys take a LOT more time)
And a Lord on Destroyer body with an experimental paint scheme that I'm not sure about, and is probably not yet finished.
Cheers

I really like the turquoise rust/weathering on the destroyer, great color chose.
I like the Destroyer paint scheme much better than the Lord on Destroyer body.

These are some of the best 'crons I have seen mate good work! If you'd take some advice for the flayed one instead of a hard red line maybe use several red wash layers?

Very nice. I like the brass paint with the blue highlights MUCH more than the later stuff, but that is simply due to the appealing color contrast.

Akward highlighting, thick painting and poor contrasting kinda ruins some really grate models. I would strip these asap. No offence...

I like. The blue is a good color, especially with the glow coming off of the blue guns, and ribcage and eyes of some models.

I play and paint Necrons. The one guys who said the paint is thick, I see that on the Flayed One, but not so much on the rest. I love the blue scheme, especially the "inner" glow of the warriors. I'm currently repainting 100 warriors an am thinking about doing a similar thing. The blue on blue D-Lord is actually pretty cool, even though I initially was like WTF. The Destroyer and Immortals are rad. How do you get the "energy ripple" effect on the rods?

It's simply stippling Mordian and Ice blues over Necron Abyss, I'm not too consistent with it yet and my older red ones aren't very good :p
Cheers for the suggestions, I'll give more thought to the Flayed Ones

The brass patinas and the blue trim blend really nicely; great choice. As for the Flayed Ones, I might suggest applying your reds a little more sporadically; you could try modeling some little rips and gashes in the skin to make it look less uniform.

Actually, on a second look, the problem with the Flayed One isn't the thickness, its that you need to highlight again over the wash on the flesh part to take the gloss off. On the battlefield, this guy would look fine, as long as you take the shine away...

Personally I don't like the flayed ones but then again I've never liked the models or how anyone has ever painted them That being said the scheme looks great and I'm really impressed with the power rods. I woulden't be that brave to try it.
And just one more thing I get that the Lord has a glow about him but it seems to me like he's too much one color. I don't know maybe that's just me, anyway great job

It really isn't a brass color. I'm seeing more of a silver as brass tends to be goldish. However, I still love them but I think it looks more like strange, laws of physics defying lighting affect than a tarnish.

I think the energy rods are really different/awesome looking, it really gives them that old metal feel, rather than most necron forces who seem fresh off the assembly line. How big is your force?

I really like that lord. Sure, like you said, he's a bit experimental, but that's wicked. I really think HQs should stand out as the leaders of your force, and this guy does with aplomb. I don't think your paint's too thick at all, and the verdigris is really effective. I assume that's Hawk Turquoise?
