My projects in 2011:

1. Add Sanguinary Guard to my DoA army.

2. Supplement my mech BA army (re-model Marines using DC sprue).

3. Build up DE selling old models at EBay.

4. Playing Orks at RTT.


Army for tournament season 2011: <insert here>

1. Finish my Deathwatch army completely.

2. Start and Complete a Winter Guard army - the Alpithian VIII

If I finish those, then I'll start my Khorne Wolves army, and then maybe Nids, but that's fairly unlikely.

1. Finish my Flesh Tearers army to 3000 points.

2. Build and paint my Hungarian Infantry Company to 1500 points for both mid and late war.

3. Paint and play my Mordheim warband

2011 plans as follows...

1. Expand my Skaven to 2000pts (with the aid of an HPA methinks)

2 Start collecting Dwarfs

3. Work on some more scenery

4. Maybe a return to 40K, though no idea which army

Hmm.. 2011 plans

1. Finish my Death Korps to 2000 points

2. Start an Empire WFB army

3. Finish my Tyrant's Legion

1. Finish Painting Salamanders

2. Build DoA Blood Angels

3. Play in my first GT

Paint up a tyranid army (have assembled lots but nothing is painted yet)

Continue to add to the great ork waaugh (have something like 12K painted, but could still use some odds and ends like stormboyz, some bikes, etc.)

Paint up a Crimson Fist army (this one is unlikely this year, unless I can work through the nids quickly)

Add to terrain collection. Have a good selection now, but could always use more and it keeps me from getting burned out from just painting minis.

1. Paint Troll & Ogre army for Fantasy which is currently assembled to 3K, primed and waiting...

2. Assemble 100 points of Trollbloods for Hordes

3. Assemble DakkaCon project very quickly! (Hoping to get some nids together for BFG, and a small lizardmen warband, both also are awaiting assembly)

The same ones that started in 2008 and got bumped to 2009 and then bumped again to 2010, that still aren't completed and so will be bumped to 2011.

I have no time to hobby anymore, maybe one or two hours a week. :(

Projects include:
>2500 points of Ultramarines smothered with Forge World bitz. (mostly still sitting in boxes on the sprue)
>2000 points of Imperial Guard (still sitting in boxes on the sprue still)
>1000 points of Orks (various stages - This is kind of a side project that I use to keep things from getting redundant.)
>Fortress of Redemption (assembled, needs paint)
>Shrine of the Aquila (assembled, needs paint)
>Imperial Strongpoint (100% assembled, 50% painted)
>Misc. items that I want to revisit / redo.

As to 2011 projects.

1. Get my 40K Doubles tournie army ready for Lenton in Feb. Thats a Death rolla Battlewagon that looks like a Pirate ship. A Deathskull Pirate captain that counts as Ghazghkul, 6 nobz inc painboy with various bits of gear and some other bits I already have painted. One of the Nobz is a Ogryn first mate, and a Dark Eldar Cabin Girl/Slave/nutcase who wants to be an Ork .. based from Lileth. I'm doing all the converting apart from 'Druchii' (Lileth) as I want Aurelia to do that as she is a better sculpter.

2. Continue painting my new Skaven army, probably adding a few bits from the second wave. Lots to paint there.

3. Very likely I'll start a new 1000pt force to practise my green stuff abilities this year. After doing Nurgle which is very forgiving, I plan on really pushing myself by making a Slaanesh Daemon army, where I plan on converting all the Daemonettes in someway, a Daemon Prince, a Soul grinder and fielding six fiends based on some conversions on cool mini. (Lower body is the forest goblin spider, upper body a Daemonette - pics fixed so uploaded them.)

4. More terrain I suspect as well, I need to finish my Mordheim terrain this year, or at least everything I'm halfway through atm. (About eight buildings, a load of walls, city tree's and a church. Will probably add that broken Tower terrain GW just released to that pile as well.)

This will likely be a case of having eyes larger than my wallet but:

(1) purchase and learn to use an airbrush

(2) start painting some Nids

(3) start and finish a TWC unit

(4) finish a custom SW Rhino

(5) actually get at least one tabletop quality army together @2000pts

(6) but avoid getting sucked into GK (saving for Necrons)

I have lots of stuff I'd like to finish this year, luckily it doesn't look like there's anything on the horizon that I'll want to buy till they redo necrons someday. So what I have planned is...

lizardmen - Have to do my Slaan that I'm working on now, plus 2 units of 24 sauruses, 4 salamanders + handlers, and I have about 5 skink commands plus 40 old plastic skink bowmen.

Necrons - Pretty much a whole battleforce to paint, considering adding the centipede thingy from FW too. I'd like to have them all done before the new codex & models come out.

Scenery - I have a chapel & tower thingy for WFB to paint, and tons of COD tiles left over from the leviathan I made so I wanna build lots of 40K terrain too.

Khador - A full unit of winter guard with all attachments, beast 09 & widowmakers

On top of all that, I'm developing a skirmish game on the side that I hope to officially launch sometime in 2011. I have to finish painting the models I got for it, and build a lot of scenery for it so I can take pictures. If enough folks are interested I'll be getting models sculpted but that will come much later.

And on top of all that, somewhere along the line I guess I decided I don't like having money anymore since I'm getting into model trains now too.

so yeah, 2011 will be a busy year

Well, my dwarves are just about finished to 2500-3000 points, so I'm going to stop with them now. Other projects:
Armies:
- Keep plugging away at my mahussive O&G army in the hopes that it will be fun to play in 8th. Boar boyz, River Trolls, heaps more gobbos, and any new plastics they release are all on the menu
-Start a new WFB army. It's a toss up between bretts and ogres right now with Bretts slowly edging the ogres out because I have done horde-o'-brutes before in my Orcs.
-Fiddle around with the Mantic Undead and WoC and see if I enjoy painting them enough to make an army.

Modelling:
-Practice GS sculpting.
-Get a Dwarf Brewhouse and a watchtower done, AT LEAST. Maybe a piece of Orc specific terrain too.

Dakka:
-Start and stick to updating a P&M blog of my efforts.
-Actually write those damn RPG reviews I've been meaning to do for three months.

Gaming:
-Attend Warpcon
-Join a club and get at least a game in a week (won't be totally possible but I needs me some gaming and social outlet!)

4. refrain from starting any new armies unless the old ones are painted to at least tabletop standard

6. learn the new WFB rules and squeeze in a few games

Game Reviews to write for Dakka in 2011:

- Battle for Slaughter Gulch

- Zombie!!!, Humans!!!, and Martians!!! (plus expansions)

- Monsterpocalypse

- Death Angel

My projects will all be centred around Hive Fleet Kielbasa for the first half of the year.

Not in this order, I want to:

Convert two Mycetic Spore Pods from the eggs I got at Platinum Devil.

Build another three Zoanthropes and one Venomthrope.

Convert another Ravener to a Hive Guard, giving me a brood of three.

Convert a 2nd hand Carnifex into another Tervigon.

Convert a 2nd hand Carnifex to a Tyrannofex, using Chapterhouse and Forge World parts, plus scratchbuilding.

Cast up another 40 Kielbasa pattern Termagant bodies and use them to convert some snap-together Termagants. (You would be surprised how many spare Termagants the Fleet can use when the Tervigon is on a good run of spawning.)

Sculpt and start casting a Kielbasa pattern lower body for Hormagaunts.

Build and convert a Trygon.

Build up a couple of boxes of Gargoyles.

Build another box of Raveners, giving me a brood of six.

That should be enough to keep me going. I will concentrate on the units I want to use at Platinum Devil May 2011. If I get everything done by the middle of the year, I will start building my converted SM army.


Terrain Projects

Four more Tau dome buildings.

A Tau skimmer landing pad -- it is going to be big.

About two dozen assorted Tau silos, power generators, and things.

Put all of my hill models on to hardboard bases.

A bunch of craters, including some blown up vehicle markers and a couple of Trygon tunnel exits.

Two or three more nice Objective markers

Armies:
- I need to finish my little 1000 pt. Badab-era Mantis Warrior army for Adepticon
- Continue work on my over-all Mantis Warrior army (modern/post crusade)
- Work with my eldest son to get his Necron force fully painted
- Work with my youngest son not only to get him a functional Nid army but to start him on the fundamentals of painting.

Painting Techniques:
- become proficient in the use of my airbrush
- learn how to do NMM and OSL

Painting Units:
- build and paint a burna unit for my bad moons
- build and paint the last few lootas for same
- Finish painting the battlewagons for same
- build and paint my cool ork Megadread from Forge World that was LAST YEAR'S Christmas present from my better half

Dakka:
- get cought up on my GMS trades
- complete Tranquility Pattern tutorial
- do a Necron tut if there's interest
- actually spend more time modeling and painting than I do blogging

At the moment:

1. Paint all my remaining Uruk-Hai
2. Paint all my Gondorians
3. Increase both armies to 1500pts

I'm going to finish my Dogs of War.

2. Bring my Imperial Guard army up to 2500 points at least.

- Continue painting the rest of my orks to at least 2000pts, bout 30% there as is... theres just so many!
- Giving my marine army a boost, still dont have much for it thus far and its only good for small games @ 750pts or less).
- Building my own 4x4 game table! 6x4 game table will come later
- Playing my 100th game with my Orkz... it could happen
