Excellent model with some fantastic detail work. I especially like the plasma gun. Though it's about 16" bigger than I'd make it...

That's the best scratch-built Titan I've ever seen...

I mean normally they just look awful

But that actually has some detail on it, which is real nice... No obvious paper cups or whatnot.

Not a problem, I'll get the chap who did it to reply or something.

Tis a cracking version.

The gold trim, well its very thin plasticard. Quite simple, as for the painting its NMM, I shall get some more info. Or better still get him to join the forum!

Fantastic scratch-builds, both of them. I love the detail work and the Warlord looks very much like the Epic 40k Mk.III Warlord.

But it's way to damned tall. Way.

My two questions about the Warlord are:
1) What material is the head made of? It appears to be some sort of sculpted clay or greenstuff-esque material
2) What is the skeleton made out of? As large as that thing is, it has to be pretty heavy on those spindly legs.

Hi, thanks all for you nice comments, in answer to your questions, i was scratching my head for a material to mold the head and in the end i used plaster on foam board (i waited till the plaster was about to go hard and applied it quickly and applied it in two layers) then sanded it, it was surprisingly easy.
The frame is 40mm push fit waste pipe and the waist is 110mm down pipe.
Yes it's a little too big and very heavy but i wanted to use it as a Warlord and to be able to add to it at a later date and use it as an Emperor class (i couldn't resist the thought of transporting 104 marines into combat) hence it's over sized

A specail thanks must go to Middenface for his help in building my Warhound, he gave me the foamX board and lots of advise on NMM (Cheers bud)

I've all most finished painting the warlord titan, would any body like to see some battle shots? It saw action last weekend and kicked butt, but still couldn't kill my nemesis "the Hierophant" I'm sure he has loaded dice

That's just incredible, in the top rank of titans built on line.

Have to ask, how did you make the head? In the first pic it looks a bit rough and ready made from polystyrene, but later it's smooth and well formed. What materials did you use?
