given that the thing literally flies over the tabletop for it's rules, I doubt anyone using it would actually own it. Imagine dropping that huge chunk of resin on top of your models.

Who would actually use this thing except maybe a collector? I think making one from card would be a better idea as it would be so much lighter and WAY cheaper, you'd just have to put in the hours to make it...

On a side note, I know you get either 36 or 48 sitting Fire Warriors and a sitting Ethereal with it, but do you also get some drones, half a dozen 'suits and four vehicles with it?It wouldn't be much but it would knock maybe £150 off the price. Just wondering.

The thing is so huge Forge World probably assumed you just put it in your display case instead of risking it breaking the base and falling on your models. As for dioramas, that thing's huge enough to be a diorama....

It comes with multiple bases, because each wing needs its own flying base.

Y'know you could probably use that AS the table in small games, have Assault Marines with mag boots fighting to take over the ship...

It has landing gear, so you could just let it sit on the ground. Though that doesn't leave alot of room on the board.

My friend originally thought it was 4 feet across. If it had been that big, it would be a table.

Perhaps they assumed that anyone with the technical skills to assemble a detailed 3' x 2' resin model would be able to create a suitable stand themselves if they wanted it to be airborne.

Designed for Apoc games and huge battlefields where it should be able to land and field the small army it carries.

It's primarily a carrier type aircraft with big guns too

Imagine painting it. I'm a slow painter as it is, painting that thing might take me half a year.

I'd just hire some car painter dudes to do the work, it'd take them two hours at the most

though the highlights and some camo colors would still take time, it's still huge!
