Its from Pirvateer Press, very nice mechanic, with some nifty models (some are pretty bad but most are ok ) Its the monstrous version, there is a steampunk robot version as well.

Check out www.privateerpress.com for more if you like.

Glad to see you got a Wold Guardian. Sure, Battle College says it doesn't work that well with Baldur, but a lot of other Baldur players seem to like him quite a bit...and the model rocks:

Yeah, little hunk of rock was too cool to pass on!! I like the rules for him as well.

I have currently:

Baldur (in transit)
Megalith
Wold Guardian
Woldwarden (in transit)
Woldwatcher
Wold Wyrd (in transit)
Druids
Shifting Stones, with Stone Keeper
Lord of the Feast (in transit)

I think that comes to around 50pts, not a refined list at all, just stuff i like

That's a good foundation for your Oroboros. Even though it's about 50 pts, you're probably going to be better off making different 35 pt lists out of those models, as you'll have problems with fury management if you try to run a list with that many constructs.

I seal the Oath with my blood, my life. I am nothing before Orboros

@DrunkenBoxer: Yeah, its a good start at least, a few more units and i should be good for 50.

UPDATE!!

Bult everything ive got bar the druids, theyll be done tomorrow. Blocked out the stone on the models and washed it:

I didnt like Megalith's HULKSMASH pose so I changed the arms and GSed the joins. Also made the Wold Guardian stand more upright, better pics when theyre finished.

I should have a batrep (around 20pts) tomorrow Vs Cryx, will endeavour to get pics.

Thanks for looking,

Vitruvian

With knowledge and power illimitable, it is inexcusable that this order remains content to stand idly as the world crumbles

Righty-ho, got the batrep up, lemme know what you think:

The unnatural powers of our enemies will be their undoing

Wow! Ive really had the painting bug recently, ijust inished up the Wold Guadian today. Must be the change in system!

I tried to do a 'less is more' approach on the osl or this guy, the woldwatcher felt like too much so i only hit key areas.

Also built the druids:

@SilverMk2: Hahahaha, thankyou.

Theyre Circle Orboros from the game Hordes by Privateer Press, I just started and its actually a very nice system. Makes a welcome change from the GW games.

No pics from your run in with the great recycling team?

I think your OSL is really fine, I'm not sure how you should make it a bit more "hot" (if that is what your after) maybe even more white at certain spots?

I have/work on these: Army and SOG of and a tiny group of (killzone) and some and last some and a gang of Cryx + Others...

Nah sorry, i managed to take a pic of the table, then forgot to take any more!!

I should play Khador and/or Cryx n Friday, probably take them both on in a 2v1. I promise to take more pics!

Thankyou! I didnt go up to pure white but may try that. I feel like the problem is theres not enough places to bounce light off on the beasts so it lo just like i painted it gree. Maybe im being a perfectionst again!

Call them from the mountains and let us unleash their savagery upon the enemies of Orboros

Hey guys, finished the Druids and finally got Baldur and a Woldwarden and Lord of the Feast, which are now built. I think the osl came out much better on these, looks lke im improving, yay! I also marekd out LoS on all the bases, and did a little embellishment to stop them looking just like lines.

They embody the essence of the Beast of All Shapes. To watch them devour our enemies is to see the hand of Orboros at work.

Finished the Lord of the Feast today, went for grey dead skin, draped in human flesh. Pics:

They are something neither man nor beast. Primal strength resides in thir shifting forms and their eyes are as cold and unfathomable as the moons.

Back with more for you, finished Baldur today, his pics are after the Lord of the Feast in daylight;

Baldur Stonecleaver, Warlock. Added Circle-y symbols to the back arc of his base just cause hes the caster! :

That's pretty good! What kind of paints are you using now? P3s? If so, detailed report, si vous plait. I've been wondering about switching over to another brand of colors- GW is good, but pretty basic for skin tones (so I mix and match...) and wondering if any other brands -Vallejo (also in consideration) or P3 would help my work at all, or would it not be worth learning a new paint name/system.

The OLS work looks much sharper on this new model than the previous ones- was your intent to get a "warmer" effect from the OSL? Other than that, depending on how you wanted the glow projection, I would say a bit more of a graded-dim effect farther away from the source on the shield/knee. (Again, depending on the object's glow range/projection...?) Good stuff! There definitely aren't enough of these Warmahorde blogs here!

Nah its still GW, got it from a WD painting masterclass, done on the Vermin Lord from Skaven.

Its Orkhide shade, snot green, scorpion green, sunburst yellow, skull white with various 50:50 ratios in between each transition.

There are plenty of colour charts that show equivalent colours from the diff. brands, so you could always buy a few to test out coverage etc. compared with gw.

Yeah, i hear ya'. Pics are a bit dark, so not showing as much of the darker glow, could probably do with another glaze though.

The hardest thing im finding with osl on these models is that its all flat surfaces. Theres no edges to bounce the light off. ie. The only place to glow on the knee is the flat bit and the rim, it doesnt reflect onto anywhere else. Not sure if that makes sense, but its what im feeling with these particular models. Druids were better though.

In my mind it seemed so simple... but in practice it proved to be tough! I found the hardest part was control, not putting to much colour and trying to picture what areas would be heavily lit and what areas would have just a very slight glow. Was also a bit boring in that I didn't got for a yellow/green glow like your stuff, more of a dark green sorta vibe. Will try and get pics up tomorrow or day after... and be kind!

Never!! Course ill be nice....

I was the same, theory is alright tbh. I found it hardest to get the wash consistency right, switched over to multiple glazes and found it much easier.

Darker glows are much harder to pull off imo, eager to see pics now!!

Im trying to find it in this thread, but which paints did you use on your constructs?

Im presently trying to decide on a palette for my Wold Guardian (for a dio, I dont play) and cannot mtch ym ideas to pigments.

Did you use GW or P3, for example?

I use GW paints.

For the Guardian i used Adeptus Battlegrey, washed with badab black, drybrushed battlegrey again, drybrushed codex grey.

Wood was scorched brown drybrushed graveyard earth

Twine was scorched brown highlighted with dheneb stone

The green was mixes of goblin green and golden yellow, but i would change it if i were to do it again to the method on Megalith and the Woldwarden. (In 2nd post below Megalith)

Hope that helps and good luck on your dio!
