What's your most humorous victory and/or 40k moment? Here are mine-
While fighting against Dark Eldar, I killed fully half of his army in my first shooting phase with two Bladestorms.

In one of my first games ever, against my BA friend:

I assault his squad of 5 Assault Marines with 20 Boyz, and none of his Marines die. The next round of combat, he kills off half of the mob in one go, and then wipes them out in an SA.

We were both laughing at how ridiculous the rolls were for my Boyz considering how many attacks there were (I believe around 45?).

Another game against the same friend:

Turn 1, I march out my Dreadnought with MM, fire at the side armor of his Razorback with 5 Assault Marines. The Razorback explodes, and he says, "Well there goes my key unit."

Next turn, the same Dreadnought assaults his Baal Predator and also destroys it.

Close to the end of the game, our Combat Squadded tac squads (he doesn't have all of his Assault Marines yet) exchange ML shots round after round, each of them scattering away from the combat squad.

Against another friend:

I fire my ML at his 30 Boy Mob, setting the template to hit about 8 Boyz. I roll for scatter, which takes the shot right between two units of Boyz.

Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

I just love how we can say that certain models have a sanity check. What are we, playing Call of Cthulhu? But in any case, I've got quite a few favorite moments. Hmm.....

Well, in my first game of 40k ever, the first failed morale check ever was my Company Command Squad. They lost one Guardsman, and promptly ran off the table crying. After that, my entire 1500 point army collapsed. We later joked that what must have happened is that all my Guardsmen saw their commander running away, and figured they should follow him....

Other games--quite a few other games to be honest--have convinced me that SOMEONE in the Departmento Munitorum hates my Imperial Guardsmen, and constantly issues them with blanks. I've rolled double ones for armor pen with melta shots against Land Speeders. I've shot over 60 lasgun shots at Space Marines, and not killed a single one. In my most stunning display of useless ordnance to date, in a local tournament I was fighting against Mechdar, who had a special ability on his Serpents that made anything above S8 hitting them S8. Cue every single die I roll for armor pen comming up as '3'. Lascannon? 5 to hit, 3 to pen. Missile Launcher? 6 to hit, 3 to pen. This went on all. Freaking. Game. In fact, the only weapons I had that killed Serpents were my autocannons.

I eventually realized that it was apparently one die I had been rolling that kept turning up 3s. My reaction was to take said die, and hurl it out the window of the 3rd floor of our student union. I then placed a Commissar model next to the rest of my dice pile. They immediately began performing much better.

Entertaining Battle overall for me:

My friend plays necrons and it's his first time facing a trygon. Up until that point he's been curbstomping my army to hell, crushing my large blocks of Gaunts and obliterating my Zoanthropes. Then the Trygon Pop out and annhilates two of his three Destroyers with the former's Shock-gun (forgot the name). He then panicks, rapid fires ALL of his weapons into my Trygon, then Charges (forgetting the fact that he just fired Rapid Fire Weapons into it) with all of his troops. Combat lasted for 7+ turns (may have gone over the game's limit of turns, but we didnt really care because it was so hilarious) in which the Trygon ended up catching half of his warriors on a Fleeing roll, as well as pounding his destroyer into the ground, before finally the remaining 8 warriors he had left (he charged in with 2 Wraiths, 1 Destroyer, 20 Warriors, 6 immortals and a Necron Lord) managed to finally kill the Trygon. They then limped away and was promptly greeted by a Tyrant's foot in the face, resulting in a Phase Out. Ironically his Lord, who had a Warscythe, Phylactery and Phase Shifter, didnt deal a single wound to the beast and was one of the last to fall.

One game against Orks, I killed both his warbosses ( one with nobs and one with mega armoured nobs) by the second turn with my Medusas. I instant deathed them because they don't have Eternal Warrior (I was very surprised about that). He was playing a mainly footslogging army, with a 3 squads of 30 boys, a large commando squad outflanking along with some deff copters. I had a potential of 7 large blast templates per turn ( using a Manticore), so the boys were mainly dead by turn 3. The only casualties inflicted on me was by the commandos and deff copters ( the Manticore and 1 Medusa). He was rather upset by this outcome, and decided to get some transports.

I have to say that I have a similar story. I had 10 Guardsmen in a dugout. There was an ork wave outside, and had to charge up this pile of dirt in front of my Guardsmen to get into close combat. Cue double ones on his difficult terrain roll, and a whole unit of Ork boyz getting a face full of lasfire.

I had a Thunderfire cannon (well, Thudd gun using Thunderfire rules) manned by a techmarine. I had yet to paint him because he hadn't really proved himself. Anyway, over the course of the battle he was causing obscene amounts of damage. Killed 15 lootas in one round of shooting and so on. Then his gun got blown up by a big shoota.

And then he got mad.

This humble techmarine fought alongside my tactical Marines until they were wiped out. Alone, he was charged by a nob squad. He punched one in the face as his armor deflected all the choppa swings. Finally, the Nob power klaw whiffs it and he strikes with his servo arm. The servos kill one Nob, and force them to roll morale. They fail, and before they can run away this humble Techmarine overruns the lot of them.

Techmarine Bob is my most decorated hero.

a game with objectives. the opponent controlled one, i controlled one and contested the other with a squadron of scout sentinels.

his black templars were chargeing to the only open objective in a land raider. on my turn, my storm troopers entered by deepstrike, closeing off the front hatch. marbo came in and took one side hatch. a veteran squad moved, and ran during the shooting phase to close off the opposite side hatch. marbos demo charge and a demolisher shot (on target for both) made the landraider unable to move or shoot. so, his entire squad inside was sitting still unable to open up and move out. it was a good time when he figured it out.

My story comes from the mythical 3rd edition, with a helping of "misunderstanding the rules" to make it priceless.

One of my friends is playing Chaos Space Marines and has Abaddon in his army. Abaddon had a weapon that always counted as getting penetrating hits against vehicles.

My other friend had just completed an army for the brand new Armored Company rules, fielding an IG force of all tanks.

The old consolidation/sweeping advance rules allowed you to initiate a new CC during that move, and we assumed that meant you would fight a new round of CC.

So, during a game, Abaddon deep strikes into the center of the parking lot. He assaults the nearest tank and easily destroys it. He then sweeping advances into the next tank, and easily pops that one. Before the turn is done, Abaddon has single-handedly destroyed half a dozen tanks.

favorite moment was playing Tau V Orks. Playing a custom mission where any unit could capture objectives except the dead center of the table one, which had to be troops. I was getting my tail handed to me. Guy had Big Mek + few boys on one objective and WArboss + few nobs on another and Herd of Kroot and boyz beating on each other in the center with another unit of Kroot about ready to join in.

Last turn, both my crisis suit units drop the HQ's body guards out but they fail to run. so I use by broadsides to split fire. Bam ID on both of them despite GTG and cover. went from 2-0-1 to a pure tie. Too bad the kroot couldn't get the boys to run off the center but it was a beauty regardless.

Lol!

Somebody stop that man!

There should really be a rule against that!

As for me, my craziest victory was this one involving a moving objective that my poor, lazy guardsmen had to run after.

Probably the most bad-ass was this one. A 750 point game in which I take marbo. There's a squad in cover on the objective consisting of a tzeentch lord and a squad of Mark of Khorne CSM, totalling up lover half of his points. Marbo drops in and chucks a demo charge on them. They fail their Ld10 morale check, and being MoK, not Berzerkers or MoCG, they are neiter fearless nor get a reroll. The squad falls back only to find marbo still within 6" of them. Their second fall-back move sees them run off the table.

With only a single squad left and a couple of rhinos, my opponent conceded at the bottom of turn 2.

That seems to be the deal with Marbo. Either he does absolutely nothing, or he single-handedly wins games.

Heh speaking of Marbo i keep kill count hash marks on his codex page...

My most hilarious moment has to be a victorious assault by my CCS. Really, its the unit composition that makes it hilarious: My commander at the time had a powerfist and a cane in hand; his retinue had two bodyguards which i used dark eldar prisoners for. I had him assault and kill my friend's herald of khorne (or whatever the bloodletter riding a juggernaut is called from the Daemons dex) without taking a wound himself. In my head i had the image of him proudly posing for a picture captain morgan style, cigar in mouth, on the corpse of a juggernaut with beautiful women sitting nearby, hair flowing in the breeze.

I assault with my guardsmen, why dont you?
