Watching my friends Deamon prince waltz around the table cutting into my vehicles in CC, he already had one wound from a lascannon, two of the three vehicles he destroyed exploded and caused a wound, then a stray bolt pistol shot from my Devastator squad took him down.
Having a squad of 6 Terminators survive and win a combat against Chaos armed to the teeth with power weapons and fists only to lose them all in the next turn to plain bolter fire

Most entertaining victory? Turning my opponent's Crisis Commander into a Chaos Spawn which charges the hammerhead behind it and blows it up. On turn 2. All that were left were two units of FWs vs berzerkers, a rhino, DP and CSMs.
One FW squad was charged by berzerkers (don't need to tell you that result), the other had their Shas'ui spawnified and were run off the table after it smashed them in CC. I lost exactly 1 Spawn (the first one died to the HH explosion and rapid-fired pulse rifles) but nothing from my original list.

i was playing the new grey knight against my friends crones and the game ended in a draw so we got our HQ and got them to fight it out he had the nightbringer and i had a brotherhood champion. the nightbringer killed the champion. than i used heroic sacrifice (i think there was a rule against this but as this was a fun game so we ignored it) and because both of our HQ die the on the same turn it was a draw (again)

There better damn well be a rull against this, or I'd be even more pissed at the GK Codex.

My brother recently started playing Chaos - in one battle I charged less than 10 Warriors into his Daemon Prince (who had 3 wounds - I was desperate, he had two full squads of Khorne Berserkers charging toward the Warriors). In that very same round, I took next to no casualties, and killed his Daemon Prince, with a few Warriors!

Playing a friend of mine, I shoot his assault marines with a basilisk killing all but one, that then runs straight towards my gun line...this annoyed me so I decided to shoot the lone marine with 30, first rank fire, second rank fire, rapid firing veterans (90 shots). Not a single wound done! My company commander then shots him once with a laspistol and kills him. Needless to say those 'veterans' were court marshaled after the battle.

ooh...have I got some doozies.
1. Necron Monolith Particle Whip scatters off of a land raider onto the Deceiver, who had one wound left after having dealt with Logan and a bunch of terminators. Failed his invul save, poof.
2. Necron Monolith got assaulted by Ghazghkull Thraka and a unit of Nobs (of which 3 had powerklaws) the turn after it deep-struck. I didn't hold much hope of surviving that many attacks even with him needing to hit. But I did! My turn I promptly moves my Monolith 6" away, and centered that STR9 AP3 blast right over the gaggle of them. I scattered on top of myself, rolled 2,6 to penetrate with the ordinance, and wrecked my own monolith.
3. A game against Chaos Marines with my Necron Wraith Wing. He has two daemon princes, and two units of two obliterators. Four lascannons in total, odds are good of me surviving. He reserved one unit of them for deep-striking and deployed the second. Turn 1, his two obliterators on the table roll a 6 to penetrate and wreck a monolith. My wraithwing turbo-boosts over there to deal with them. Turn 2 he immobilized a second monolith with the obliterators and his other unit deep-strikes to wreck the third. I'm now stuck with an immobilized monolith, two dead ones, and the remaining one is out of teleportation range for my wraiths, who assault in to desperately pound on two obliterators. Meanwhile, my Deceiver is trying to threaten both daemon princes, who are advancing past midfield (spearhead deployment) to try munching on some warriors when they come in from reserve. This was my first game to ever pin a fearless daemon prince! =D
And interestingly enough, I won all three of those games.

Back in 3rd edition, and somewhat new to the game a buddy and I are playing his Thousand sons vs my Beil Tan eldar.
My entire team has been floored by his sons(b/c in middle school i couldnt afford to own transports) except for 2 models.....
Last turn of the game my Avatar and wraithlord in unison sweeping advance through his ENTIRE army(lol i know we were wrong)
The wraithlord tossed a land raider over its head as the avatar munched through termies(before invulnerable save) and everything else.
Those 2 heroes are still talked about by my friends for that courageous 1700pt turn 5 killing spree. =)

Can't beat Necrons w/ CSM?
Take 2 squads of Nurgle possesed Swooping hawks and haywire both Monoliths turn 1.
Can't fail. Then charge nightbringer with a possesed Lysander w/ MoN.
Just got to think outside the box bro. |

First game I played against one of my friends, old grey knights vs eldar. he has four squads of straight troops plus a vet squad. deepstriking every but them. I have my max troop choice done in pathfinders, and one squad of swooping hawks led by Baharroth. The emperor was not with them as every turn he failed all but one reserve roll. the just of each turn was. Squad deep strikes, stormbolter most of a pathfinder squad, then get sniped than destroyed by the swooping hawks. their grenades had already taken care of the vet squads when they first came in....needless to say he was pissed.

Over the weekend on saturday, my friends and i had a 3 person FFA. Tau VS IG VS CSM. We set up a huge table, the massive stretch my guard was on, had absolutely no cover.
I deep strike my stormtroopers with melta guns intending to can his defiler, instead i scatter, but still end up frying the Sorcerer and his chosen marines. They then die. He then looses his defiler to my friends hammer head. Out of pure pissedness, he decides to ally with my tau friend.
He teleports 10 Terminators with Terminator Lord of Khone right behind me along with his daemon prince. He shoots, kills a few guard.
The next turn, i fry everything he just put back there with just a platoon of guard and a vet squad and then proceed to exterminate the rest of his army and my friends tau .

"Olright ye grumbling grots were goin ova dere to kill all does grumblin' umies" said glubsmut, a ruthered who utterly disliked his grots, every waaaaaagh, he'd have to jump on land mines jump in front of bullets and ufer 'urty stuffs. Dis time he'd had enough, they were gonna kill dat weak umie' marnius calgar or sumthin. The grots started to whimper as they saw the space marine line up, marine after marine after marine, and there, a giant landrader stood, and inside it was Calgar, leader of the ultramarines. Da dakka started flying, the bolt guns began shooting, and soon it was hopeless for da Orks. "Waaaaaaaagh" screamed Glubsmut, before getting shot in the gut, an insta-kill. The grots around him screamed, but one lowly grot stood above the rest, Sniglefum, and reunited his comrades. And together they attacked marnius, all five of them, marnius struck first, he killed two of them both of them exploding in a fireworks of guts. And glubsmut kept on fighting, the three grots jumped on marnius, causing no wounds. Marnius slaughtered another two, and now glusmut, the smallest grot of all, was left standing, but he did not retreat. He lifted op his twig jumped up and stabbed the almighty leader of the ultramarines in the eye, marnius dropped two his knees, dead. "waaaaagh" screamed the warboss and ran ahead. The orks were victorious!
Best battle ever, so the grot killed Calgar and victory to the orks.the froth that killed him now has a gold helmet a pole with a termie hemet attached to, I sometimes use him as a rutherd he's that awesome!

Bloodthirsty Bloodletter

Last night I decided to take Guardsman Marbo out for a spin on a C&C mission. The turn before he arrived, my opponent's Khorne berzerkers had just broken through my lines and claimed my objective, and a squad of 5 terminators and a squad of 3 oblits had just deepstruck right into the middle of my army. Marbo pops up and promptly annihilates the berzerkers and three of the terminators with a demo pack. Next turn, he shoots one of the remaining termies with his pistol and murders the other in CC. While he was doing this, a LC team and an AC team had put a few wounds on the oblits, killing one of them. Marbo promptly turns around, shoots the remaining wound off of one of the oblits, charges the other one, and astoundingly, the oblit failed 2 saves, dying.
I can't think of a time I've ever been that pleased with one model's performance.

I have a Logicians (Black Templars DIY chapter) unit which includes 2 techmarines (one is the commander, in fluff) and 5x Tac Marines. The techies have storm shields, thunder hammers, terminator honors, and servo harnesses
Mephiston is charged by them, and kills everyone but the command techmarine.
In a flurry of thunder hammer and power fist blows, Mephiston is pulped and the techmarine re-embarks in the mostly empty land raider...
Yay for Tech-Father Arcturus!

I did something similar in 5th with FWs. 6 Harlies charge 10 FWs and kill 2, the remaining FWs are pissed off so much that they beat down all 6 clowns in the first round of combat. Other notable achievements for my FWs are beating down a Lictor after he appeared in terrain and killed one of 6 FWs and holding a jetcouncil in CC for 3 turns, still locked in melee as the game ended.
They can't shoot for gak though

Once, I was playing against Tyranids, and had lost over 75% of my army. I ended up pulling out a draw on the 7th turn by getting my 'ard boyz onto the closest objective with a colnsolidation move, while my remaining two meganobs were watching their backs, giving the zoanthropes something else to shoot at. I was really convinced I was gonna loose, but then right at the end I had a couple of really miraculous assaults that went totally my way.

I hope this qualifies?
I have not played many games of 40k but had organised a 'nerd day' and lined up a battle against my mates Tau army, we'd been bantering back and forth for weeks him vs my space wolves.....or so he thought
after numerous text messages between himself and i threatening destruction on the other party along the lines of 'for the greater good you shall be assimilated or suffer the wrath of the sects' responded in turn along the lines of ' In the emperors name we shall fall on you and tear the blasphemy from your throats, nothing shall remain but your smoking corpses and the emperors light washing the battlefield!'
I had organised our other Nerd friends to ccome around and watch the game and adjudicate, they however were privy to the fact that over the last two weeks I had bought assembled and painted a 2000 point Tyranid army using the newly released model range! Heh Heh Heh!
Set up begins and he's still talking smack about how the Tau will beat my wolves hands down, the terrain goes down and he's talking about how his snipers will pin my blood claws and halt me in my tracks, his troops start to deploy and he's talking about his crisis suits blowing up my Landraider,......my turn and all eyes turn to his face as he's still crapping on about how he will defeat me, and I whip out my Trygon and slap it on the table! followed in quick succession by a lictor, Ravenors, gaunts, hormagaunts, tyranid warriors and a whole heavy support choice of 3 carnifexes, it was just like those mastercard adds, his face was PRICELESS! his jaw was slack, his eyes were bugging out of his head, he even had a small amount of drool leaking from his amazed mouth, if I had of taken a photo I would put it on a T-shirt!
And I wipeed him off the board! ate his entire army! it was delicious!

My Avatar of Khaine stomping two carnifexes and a hive tyrant in only two rounds, taking fourteen invulnerable saves (4+) in the process. He didn't lose a single wound, something that has a one in 16 000 chance of happening.
Also having my farseer taking all the wounds of a carnifex with a mind war and a d-cannon insta-killing another in the same turn was pretty satisfying.

Oh! So that's why the new codex is called 'Grey Knights'! The next Daemonhunters update will actually be a mix of Tau and Necrons, because apparently they can kill what Superhuman Daemonhunters bred for the sole purpose of hunting Daemons struggle to.
Daemonhunters indeed.
