Easy E started a Bronze Age Collapse- 1177 BC: The Year Civilization Collapsed back in 2018, should anyone be interested in getting a little background on the environment that spawned the Sea Peoples and likely sparked the migrations/invasions.

re: Every game would be Talk Like A Pirate Day!

But you have to speak it in dactylic hexameter, which is the meter the Illiad and Odyssey were composed in.

The sea people impact was weaker then many thing.

The Hethite Empire was plagued with famine and following uprisings, western part was invaed by "land people" like Proto-Thracians and Phrygians.
The new Kingdom Egypt could defeat them but failed on "prosperity neglectation" a centuriy later
The Kassites also were plagues by famine and were conquered by the Elamites
The Sea People hadn't any inpact on the middle Assyrians
Some Mycenean Cities were destroyed
Most destruction was caused on cannanite City States like Ugarit and few Hethite Cities in the Levantes

I think you don't appreciate how intertwined all of these forces were, and how many were causal to each other. Yes, the region was suffering from both plagues and earth quakes in the period leading up to the sea peoples invasion, but the result of the Sea people invasions were devastating, destroying not only local cultures and reflecting the settlement of new peoples from the Aegean and Italy, but also the carefully balanced order of international relations and inter-dependencies on trade that had been building up for centuries by that point.

That Assyria, so far removed from the Ocean, and better connected to different trade routes withstood the Bronze Age collapse isn't surprising; that Egypt never regained it's former position of power after the collapse is very telling.

It's worth pointing out that the Phrygian migration into Anatolia would have still constituted part of the broader migration of peoples and overthrow of old orders that the southern incursions into Egypt and the Levant represent, and probably have the same triggers as they would have originated in the same broad area as many of the other groups who comprised the Sea peoples.

Nah its either a money lender scenery set or a marching band.

The asked people on facebook if anyone would be interested in plastic sets similar to the Warlord Games epic range, so the "alternate scale test" is probably that.

At first I thought they were PRC infantry but I was surprised to learn the stars were part of the WWI-WWII Japanese uniforms, it's not an emblem I associate with Japan at all. But learn something new every day and all that.

Which led me down a wikihole of whether or not paper airplanes existed before airplanes and what they were called.

(They've been dated to the 1700s and were called paper darts in case you're wondering. They found several when an old school room was renovated in the UK.)

Japanese WW1 infantry. Super niche (as per usual for WGA, not that it's a bad thing mind you), I think the one major engagement the Japanese military had for the entirety of WW1 was the conquest of Tsingtao.

Then those are some bloody well detailed 13.5mm faces.

Or they're actually Japanese Imperial Giants (1886-1908 Uniforms)

You mean exactly what PSC and a few others have been trying to do unsuccessfully for the past ~5 years?

The market for "alternate scale" tanks is very definitively at 15mm and 6mm(or smaller). 10mm hasn't really caught on, nor has the 12mm scale that Victrix has been trying to push.

I would be on sci-fi plastics in any smallscale like Kirby on a pile of cocaine before typing up an investor report. Victrix 12mm are some of the most delightful models I've ever seen, but I'm not doing WW2, too soon.

The Dropzone 10mm plastics are pretty good, though sadly limited to the starter boxes.

When did PSC released 10mm Plastic miniatures on sprues? I don't talk about Ultracast, which is not "plastic", it's bending gak that's why it sells poor.
