Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

A model Aurelia converted for me. 'Druchii' goes back to my original Ork army in around 1992, when for some odd reason I thought it'd be fun to stick a ork bolt pistol on a Marauder female Dark Elf scout and use her as a Ork.

This is my wife Aurelia's take on my description. It's a what if, what if a Ork Painboy of the Deathskull Klan found a mortally wounded Eldar on the battlefield, and thought 'we kan loot anythink!' With a repair job on her brain, and Ork enhancements, Druchii from that day believes she is one of the Death Skull Klan, and uses her speed and enhancements to prove her worth as a Ork.

Aurelia has used various parts to create a Powerklaw and slugga, and has sculpted boots, keepads, a skullplate from her 'procedure' and various other parts to transform Lelith into a Ork Nob.

She's also going to paint her for me, as I'm taking her to the 40K doubles this weekend as part of my force, I'll try and get some pics of the finished product early next week.

Plus two comparrison pics alongside Lelith to show what she's done. Can't wait to see these two bump heads on the tabletop later in the month.

I hope folks like her, because I love the conversion, can't wait to see folks faces as she piles out of the Battlewagon in the Nob Squad with Ghaz this wekend.

Thanks for the comments, and on a side note she started painting her this morning, looking forward to the result.

...aside from one severely sliced up and mostly discarded Tau gun and a bit of wire for the...er wire. The blades were a pain to do and I'm still not happy with them.

Plus I'd have liked the gun at a higher angle but its a bit late for that now.

A second thankyou for the comments though.

That's a very fun idea, fluff wise. How do you think you will run her as far as the list goes?

The conversion is very cool, too. Well done, Aurelia. The green and brown stuff work looks good, and the details are spot on.

So who's going to get to paint her?

*edit* ... thread read more thoroughly, question answered. I can wait to see her finished.

In answer to you both, well for the Doubles tourny she is just a 'counts as' Nob with PK and slugga.

So will act as part of the unit and is considered third most important Nob in the squad after the Painboy and Nob with PK and Waagh Banner.

Once I get her home and have time to think, I am tempted to make up Character rules for her and use her as a HQ or a counts as Warboss. She's still retained some of her Eldar psych, not a full transplant, but the effects of the 'procedure' and some Ork brain matter has utterly convinced her that she is part of the Ork Klan.

As I'm only playing at home, I'm sure I could make a Homebrew Special character that is both interesting and fair, with the added advantage Aurelia would be happy to take her on.

I am also partial to the idea of giving her a unit of mercenaries, probably a counts as Nob squad, with two Nob bodyguards, and then a mix and match of other races that have been recruited.
Some by similar 'procedures' some because they are just fething nutz and don't mind working with Orks.

Originally when I made up my first Druchii, I had a Ogryn Warlord as Ork Warlords where quite small. I do like the idea of bringing a Ogryn back as her Lt, have their roles reverse over the past twenty years.

Heh, she is actually taller than the painboy without the base and he's a Nob, with the base she's taller than the 'proper' Nobz she stands with.

Took a while for me to sort the camera out, but finally got around to getting the pics of her painted up to the gallery. Have linked them so folks can have a look.

Aurelia painted Druchii for me in a day, and I'm very pleased with the result.

It's very nicely painted and (technically)well modeled but i am not gonna lie and say i like it.

I dont think the gun or claw, and their positions, do any favours to the lilith model. If you look at the original it is a fairly expressionist sculpture focusing on gymnastic flexibility and striking, sweeping lines. The way she is holding her elegant daggers (impaler less so), adding to the motion in her hair. A big claw and Crude gun kinda ruin the flow, motion and 'art' in the model. funnily enough i think alot of the good qualities of the original could be salvaged if you simply swapped hands for power claw and slugga. No point now however as it would ruin a rather nice paintjob.

Lol ork nob in a thong and b3wb5??? How unorky! Plus, I think an eldar would break its arm if it fired a slugga.

It is an interesting model, I'll tell you that.

I've also got to say, a looted dark eldar? The one part of my brain that thinks this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen is engaged in a battle to the death with the part of my brain that thinks this is EPIC.

Whichever wins, I'm losing brain cells.

That has ass loads of character. I even like the quick backstory, that made me laugh, because I instantly heard the Ork voice in my head saying "yup, wez can do dat"

Dat's one sexy Digga!

For any, and all, of those who question this conversion, I refer you to Gorkamorka, and the Digga clans, humans who sought to emulate the orks around them. They wore huge jawplates, strapped on shoulderpads, and toted the beefiest weapons they could.

You should trawl around eBay and put together an entire unit of "Diggas" for your ork army!

I personally think the idea of a painboy putting her back together is a bit weird, since ork medicine tends to involve a lot of staples and a hammer. I also tend to think of the idea that a crazy eldar would be accepted as a nob is a bit odd. However, it's an awesome conversion, and I can see several plausible reasons for her being in an ork army. Other than the aforementioned "Digga" concept, I could also see this as being a gladiatorial training idea for a Wych. If she can survive and dominate a series of brutal orks, then she will be more brutal and tough than the wyches around her.

On the other hand, who cares what I think? The conversion is awesome, and the weapons are clearly depicted on the model. If Yarrick can tote a power klaw, then so can a Wych!

Well fluff issues are going to come up, just because on what she was based on.
As I said in the first post, the original Druchii was from a young 17yr old (ie Me) pratting around with figures.

So the Loot anythink resounded as the best option when I realised I had to give at least some semblance of fluff for her with this re-imagining.
Of course being a Deathskull warband, they are more likely to find some kind of morbid curiosity in the idea of looting living things. I am quite adamant the first person who thought.. Mmm Looted Carnifex was a Death Skulls player.

Although I will admit I totally had forgotten the old 'Diggas' from Gorkamorka. That has some posibility about it.
Of course Druchii to me, is just a mad, totally off her rocker Dark Eldar who thinks she is an Ork. As Da Butcha noted Yarrick holds up a Powerklaw fine and he's an old fella.

Oh and regarding the pose, I like where Aurelia went with it, she possed it with the Klaw being up, but it made her very top heavy. So I noted I liked the idea of it looking like she was about to Klaw someone's face off, and this was the end result.

Thanks for the comments.
