Elite Tyranid Warrior
|
I was recently looking at the greatest 40k warrior thread and post that my normal marine was the best and recieved replies along the same line, and that is what inspired me to start this thread. Simply tell people what the greatest feat from a single model ever was. Please take everything into account so if you killed 10 terminators at once but it was using all the guns on your baneblade that's not impressive. Here's my entry:
My marine with melta gun had his razorback and whole squad blown up in the 1 st turn, so he charged blindly; he shot down a land speeder, my opponent said it was just luck and ignored him, next turn he shot and killed a thunderwolf cavalry, once again he was ignored due to it just being 'luck', so he immobilised a vindicator, this time my opponent charged with a thunderwolf and no wounds were caused either way, he then survived the next assault tun as well, next my opponent charged in with a rune priest and 10 sky claws... and he won the combat, even killing one skyclaw but they stayed to fight. So he realised he would die soon so he ordered a vindicator to shhot at a nearby enemy squad and scatter onto the combat, killing nearly half the remaining skyclaws and the thunderwolf and, unfortunately my marine.
Yes that did actually happen, only thing now is I refuse to use him because my friends would shoot everything at him to make sure his legacy ends and I can't mention it to them anymore. Your turn:

I love these threads because when someone posts something like the above or other examples of sheer craziness my first reaction is always "total BS, you GOTTA be making that up!"
I had a Dreadnought destroy two trukks, 2 killa kans and break a unit of boys once, nothing particularly amazing but he survived and it was a KP game i.e he earned 5 points on his own.

Some things are to be expected, but I did enjoy this...
Kharn singlehandedly ate through Ragnar, 8 Grey Hunters, a Wolf Guard, and then their Land Raider transport.
A buddy of mine killed 5 Raging Blood Angel Assault Marines with Marbo in H2H singlehandedly. Um...

The last Havoc w/melta gun from my assault support squad, who were gunned down in the first turn, proceeded to immobilise, destroy weapon, crew shaken and finally destroy the Falcon who had killed his brothers. In the final turn. Winning me the game.

Nowa days i try to get some synergy with my lists... so that nothing ends up doing too much work.
If i kill something it's ususally a combined effort.
Although back in days of the old chaos codex... i had an infiltrating winged lord with lightning claws and a few other choice items.
One game we played 3k points, he infiltrated for a turn 1 charge, and proceeded to slash his way through over 1,500 points worth of stuff. Including terminators, bikes, charecters, etc.
The rest of my army barely did anything, but its a chaos lord, its to be expected...
The true hero of ye olde days is my mutant boss from the EoT codex.
31 points and armed with a S6 powerfist.
He managed to take out 2 LRBT's, 2 Tzeentch lords, An Inquisitor, a unit of GKT's and countless rank and file MEQ's before he finally died. I managed to keep him alive for so many games... people started to hate him.

Best I have had is my Commissar with Power Fist. Under the last codex, I had him attached to the command squad that got mauled by my brothers howling banshees. Now left with a commissar and a commander (who fluffed his attacks) and the standard bearer. The commissar managed to kill 3 banshees, drawing the combat. Next turn, he was all that was left and managed to kill the remaining banshees, and went on to take the farseer and warlocks the next turn.
Commissars are awesome

Not actually my model but certainly fits in here. I charged my DP at a squad of fire warriors, wiping out all but one. Somehow the last little bugger managed to take the final wound off of my DP. My friend shall never let go of the fact that his stupid ranged guy manage to murder a DP.

who knew that a shooty character in an assault army can wreak this much destruction
2 on 2 match
Have boxed 2 Rhinos, 3 razorback , 1 Battlewagon and 2 Trukks by punching them , got into cover, kills couple of rank and file ultramarine, CATO ( YESSSS), and some 20 ork boys , and it's warboss companion
best part? it is not the armour save that save him that much,it's my opponent seemingly inability to wound Tycho
in WM
Strakhov playing potshot with many menoth support unit, winning me the game

Fire Warrior Shas'ui is the last guy in his squad, charges a Defiler with an EMP grenade. He hits on a 6 causing a Penetrating which then rolls an explodes result (we said it was the daemonic essence being ripped from the machinery). The Shas'ui saves his hit from the explosion and goes on to eventually be made into my Shas'o.

My Soulgrinder successfully held a unit of 10 Blood Angel Assault marines for 4 turns with killing a single model until my unit of Daemonettes rolled into them and threw them all down the stairs in one round.
My Demon Prince of Slaanesh in the same game went down in a heap to Astorath in one round giving Astorath enough of a massacre move to bring him into charge range and get punted on the next turn by my Keeper of Secrets.
What do I win?

That is very true. Being a Human in the 41st millennia is hard enough. Killing anything gives that satisfied feeling. More so when you cost about 4 points...

I was facing a tough space marines army Asdrubael Vect and his unit of wyches moved up turn 1 and parked in front of them. The ensuing enemy shooting phase left only Vect to stand alone.
He charged into a unit of devastators and killed them off. Made some shooting saves and killed a tactical squad and the priest that was with them and let them run from the board. After getting shot about 10 more times he charged his third unit and killed them to a man. Basically making his way across the battlefield. Finally, he charges the unit on the objective and knocks them down to a man and he flee's. Vect now parked on the enemies one objective gets shot and makes close to 15 saves. 3 units charge him from different directions and he kills off a couple of them and makes another 10 saves. The game ends in a draw as Vect single handily defied my opponent victory.
At the same time to further bs my opponent a unit of kabalite warriors which is all i had left charged his other objective bringing them off of the objective. They managed to lock the marines in combat for the last 2 turns which helped ensure the draw.

[ARTICLE MOD]
Fixture of Dakka
|
Back under the old ork codex (Plus speed freek supplement), I had a Mek on a deffkopta, armed with a burna.
Rules at the time were such that the deffkopta was fearless, and always had a 4+ coversave, much like a warbike now. It had a big shoota. The burna was a flamer, that counted as a power weapon in close combat, and that got 2d6 penetration on vehicles. And, as this was 4th ed, it was also a scoring unit.
I'm playing in a tournament, against a guard played. He's got a weapon team with three lascannons, and a unit of ratling snipers up in a building. He's also got a leman russ demolisher around midfield, and we're playing an objective game.
My 40 point kopta was ignored on the first turn of shooting. Turn 2, it goes up to the building and uses the burna to fry some of the ratlings, following this up by charging them. Combat was tied, so we lock in combat the next turn, where my guy kills two ratlings and they break. My turn, do the same thing to the weapon team, flame them, then charge. Again, combat is a push on the turn I charge, but I run them down on his turn. So, now it's my turn 4, and that demolisher didn't move the prior turn. So I go and cut it up with the 2d6 pen dice against it's rear armour - kill the demolisher. With the other stuff going on the table, the deathkopta again avoids too much fire, and survives. Turn 5 - what proves to be the final turn of the game, it turbo-boosts over to one of the objectives, claiming it to win the game, and best general at the tournament.
So, 3 units (lascannons, ratlings, demolisher) and the objective, all from this one 40 point kopta.

One lucky bastard with a good bayonet thrust brought down an Ultramarines Terminator.
Of course, then there's Marbo. Marbo, Marbo, Marbo...Boy do I have stories about him. But probably the best single move he managed to do was bring down 8 Blood Angels Terminators (out of a squad of 10) with his demo charge. He was charged and murdered next turn, but damnit did he earn his points back!

They also killed a bunch of boys, but the loss of his two Warbosses broke his force up badly. He was shocked when one template landed on his Warboss and 5 Meganobs and they were all obliterated with no saves. Sadly his outflanking commandos were able to kill them before the end of the game.

I wish this was my story instead of my best mates! I was playing marines against my own guard army at the time. Marbo sprang out of cover in turn two and tossed him demo charge at a full tac squad. Got five models in the blast, rolled four ones for the wounds and I started laughing again as I charged him until I remembered Initiative five and he slashed down three more marines before I even went. I scored no wounds with the remainder of my attacks and then got charged in next turn by a damn penal squad with rending that finished the job!
Damn you Marbo!

Meh, unlike the ones so far, mine tends to go the other way.
Back when fex's were worth using (last book) i had alot of bad luck.
Usually though it was my barbed fex that ended up with a shot scattering and killing my own units.
this varied from putting the last wound on my tyrant to killing himself. (mainly gaunts caught it though)
Decided to keep him in my list none the less hoping he would make up for it.
Never did happen, he just continued to kill his own units.
Should have just gave him a venom instead, but it takes away the amusing aspect of it.

Had Kharn destroy a full unit of DE jetbikes in one turn(won combat, sweeping advance), then go on to destroy a raider.
Another time I had him riding in a Land Raider by himself, he came out, blew up a Land Raider, then next turn kill the terminators that we inside.
Another game 2v2 me and old Guard vs. Tau and old Daemonhunters. Kharn's Land Raider gets blown up. My daemon prince gets charged by an Inquisitor and retinue. Kharn charges next turn, wipes them. Next turn goes on to wipe a unit of PAGK, then a squad of Firewarriors.
There are so many Kharn stories and they are all awesome...

I once had a terminator chapilan be my last unit against a half unit of orks boys, a warboss, and three nobs.I charged his warboss and nobs during the combat i killed all but his warboss which lost combat..... i chased him down to kill him. I then got in to a short gunfight with his remaining ork boys killing two. Finally i came out to be short of his charge. Last turn i charged him back after shooting and killing about three guys. We rolled for a continued game,it did, then the assault went on, i killed two more he did nothing. he lost assault by two, so he ran and was caught...... he was one ork short of fearless......

In the recent 100K battle report on MWG, a single guardsman that had a meltagun and no one left in his squad managed to take out all the structure points in a warlord titan in 1 round! I kept rolling the chain reaction result and then a structure point lost result for the last structure point. I don't think it went apocalyptic though :(.

I've got one grot model wielding the arm of a necron wraith.
I've got another grot wearing a Dark Angel Termi helm.
Both situations were similar. In both cases, as the unit was delivering the final death blows to my poor gretchin, they'd just manage to sneak in a killing blow. The unit would then die horribly, but those two actually earned their trophies. Viva la Grot!

Not mine... but I watched Rhinos kill over half a squad that assaulted it in close combat the other day. Best thing a Rhino ever did.
With some luck, I managed to win an annihilation game against marines, just from a hellhound and chimera that wouldn't die. They didn't get any kills, but they took multiple hits every turn. Allowed the demolishers and stormtroopers to get some great kills in.
I also had more than a few amazing moments with marbo. Killing whole squads with beautifully thrown demo packs. Friends have since learned to spread models out.
