My best piece i dont even own anymore sadly. It was my broodlord from the older codex ( not this newer one )

It was my Nids vs. my friends Ultra marines, and most of my nids were shot all to hell before they could return fire or even assault, except for my broodlord.

He sliced and diced his way through 3 squads of termys, 2 venerables, 4 tactical squads and a devastator squad.

all while only taking one wound from the termys.

I was sad to let him go.

On a funny note, my stupidest piece was my carnifex. he had a 2+ save and str 9. he killed himself in an assault with 1 scout. the scout assaulted him. wounded him until he had 1 wound left and whnen i went to make his saving roll, i rolled a 1 and he stabbed himself with his giant scythes.

One lone Tau Drone taking on a squad of 5 Termies. It killed one in the shooting phase, killing another in the assault phase and winning combat (swing and a miss with those power attacks from the termies). The Termies then goes and fails their morale check and get wiped out as they tried to flee.

I have dubbed thee Drone as "Dronmatica! Patron saint of the pimp slap.

Not a 40k one, but my little brother once had a single skink archer repeatedly pass leadership tests to not flee, and kill 4 wood elf cavalry.

Well, this is to be kind of expected, but in an Apoc game, my Avatar killed a venerable dread, 10 tactical marines with rune priest, a hellhound, 20 guardsmen a chimera and almost killed Yarrick.

Since then I've modelled a Space Wolves helmet on his base.

Conversely, my pathfinder did a headshot on a terminator Runepriest killing him outright.

In an Apoc game, Ghaz and a bunch of other warbosses rolling around in a truck hit a titan, the titan went nuclear wiping out everything within 18 inches of the titan......except ghazghull. he killed around 2500-3000 pts in one turn, and about 10 pieces of terrain also!

My friend's Chaos Rhinos are notorious for being nigh indestructible. There are many games I've played him or watched him play and they'll be hit with everything from Lascannons to Melta Guns to Zoanthrope's Warp Lance and even being assaulted by Monstrous Creatures, but when the damage is rolled its always 'crew shaken', 'crew stunned', 'weapon destroyed'

After losing his entire squad to a Tyranofex I decided to charge it with my lone Platoon Commander figuring "I may as well" assuming he'd die at least heroically. Instead the PC managed to kill it it one go. Granted, it was already wounded but I didn't expect to land a blow let alone take the thing out! Was a pretty hilarious moment and easily the highlight of the game.

I would have loved to see the other guys face as Ghaz made his save.....

In a 1.5k game against a friend of mine who was playing BA he had his only 2 troop choices sitting on his objective. He runs some scouts and then drop pods filled with death squads and dreadnoughts and a land raider. I had a ten man raptor squad charge against the 2 full units of scouts. My theory is if i wipe those two squads he can't hold the objective and has to wipe me to win. I roll a bunch of 1's and 2's and lose 8 models in one phase of shooting. Next round they get in assaulting range and i assault with my two raptors and i dual charge his two full squads. I swing into them and kill 2 in each unit. He swings back and rolls like gak. He fails both leadership rolls and he runs off the board. Due to those 2 brave Raptors he has to table me to win. In the end I had 5 vanilla CSM sitting on my objective and the game ends turn 5. He had around 800 points left to my 75. I won though because the dreadnoughts couldn't walk over to me fast enough and he forgot to move the Land Raider a turn. For about a month after that i would post on his Facebook about how Raptors make BA scouts piss themselves and run.

Space Marines don't get wiped out from sweeping advances. If they run, and are caught, they stay and fight and take "No Retreat!" wounds. So in that situation the drone would have been stuck with the Termies (and probably killed).

Emperor's Champion drop-podding in on turn 2 with 5 of his best friends vs. BA. 5 best friends die, Champ fails morale, runs 7". Regroups, runs back up and smashs the Baal Pred that killed his friends, kills of a whole devastator squad next turn and finishes the game destroying the next baal predator, only to find that the rest of my army was Sanguinor'd by then. Oh well, at least SOMEONE did his job!

Marbo is the king of my stories.
I fought a Tau player, he came down behind a 3-man Crisis suit squad, nuked them, assaulted them, killed them all, moved onto a Stealth Suit team and destroyed them. Then he massacred a random Kroot that was laying around.
The next game, against Eldar, he came in by a squad of Warp Spiders, killed all of them with the demo charge, then assaulted a squad of Warlocks with Eldrad, killing two of them.
I think he got his points back (65) 3.8 times that game.

My most shocking feat always has, and always will be my 2 pink horrors, actually killing a TDA chaplain. Sure it took 3 turns and I made an ungodly amount of invun saves, but they're now both heralds respectively.

My Aspiring Champion w/ powersword and meltabombs was in combat with Killa Kans. First round, rolls a 6 with a meltabomb and wrecks one of them. Second round, rolls another 6 and takes the combat arm off the next one. Third round, rolls yet another 6 and blows the third one up, to much applause from what was left of his squad, who willingly sacrificed themselves throughout to preserve the precious explosives.
He was mashed into the ground shortly after, but he will be forever remembered, and never again be run without meltabombs.

Well since i've only had one game of 40K before using a friends models, the most amazing thing I've ever done is use 1 or 2 Dark eldar warriors to kill like 10 CSM, and drag them screaming back into the webway.

In WHFB though I used a dwarf runesmith to take on a greater daemon of nurgle in single combat for 5 turns. for 5 turns neither side could cause a wound. I finally wounded, and on my Die 6 for wounds i rolled a 1. Coulda killed him but only 1 wound! anyway, he killed me eventually, but it was pretty epic while it lasted.

Marbo... 3 for 4 against Dante. Vets got the 4.

Although, the best that's ever happened is he popped up in a piece of cover that had just been vacated by a squad of assault marines. Demo pack in, killed *just* enough to force a Ld test. They failed, ran straight into Marbo, destroyed. Marbo then spent the rest of the game running towards a furioso dread, plant a MB and destroy a weapon, then he got stomped.

Although my missus has the best luck with Drazhar. One game, he managed to kill my entire army single handedly... by turn 3, there'd been no cc, and he was the only model she had left. he then went on to wipe out 2 chimeras (rolling 6 6 6), a 40 man blob - targeted the lord commissar, turned him into pulp, then the 1 armour save he had to take was a 6, and killed the guy who hit him, the now 38 man strong blob then turned to flee but were cut down - and 5 hvy wpn teams. he took 1 wound from a lascannon...

This.... This is just.... This is exactly why I play DE, for these rarities that make it amazing!!!! Tell your missus that she has the most stellar luck with Drazhar, and that I hope he can repeat the feat!!!!

I remember in 2nd edition was it? A gretchen wounding a Blood Thirster in Hand to Hand......of course I think the remaining umpteen models in that squad got squished.....but it was epic.

He doesnt need to.... she now has a Talos and a purple people eater (beastmaster+clawed fiend) that make life very miserable for my largely infantry based guard.

A Chaos Terminator single handed wins me the game in close combat against a 5 man Space Marine terminator squad. Just couldnt make the saves.

Once, I had my SM Captain equipped with just Relic Armour, a Lightning Claw and a BP manage to fight two 10-man Ork Shoota Squads for a full 3 turns, manage to kill 15 of them while only taking one wound himself before they retreated and were killed in a sweeping advance. The following turn, he pounced a full-strength Ork Warboss and beat him to death in the first turn of combat.

Now that's what I call leading by example.

Best ive had is charging 2 squads of tau firewarriors with my gaurdmen, the inquisitorial squad got wiped out first turn, including lord didnt even get a kill, my gaurd attacked, got wiped out bar 1 sargent, who went on to slaughter a tau firewarrior squad on his own and start on the next which kicked my lords ass.

OR

after 40 shots of "first row second row" fire on a single wynch, all failing or missing (+4 cover), it final got taken out by a sargents laspistol that was JUST inrange to the face... hehe x)

The time my Archon with a Soul Trap & Huskblade killed a Sanguinary Priest and Chaplain onlu to have their Land Raider attempt to tank shock his unit.

I opted for Death or Glory because I just had to. The archon proceeds to penetrate the Land Raider with his fist, causing it to explode!

My one Zoanie, that games workshop sent me by accident when i needed a replacement venomthrope. I took him in a game because i had extra points, he was totally ignored by my opponent for the first 2 turns, even i almost forgot about him, and when i was about to have my swarmlord lashed backwards that zoanie was just barely within shadows in the warp range, made the prince suffer perils, then wrecks a defiler, and warp blasts a berzerker squad completely to death within 2 turns and had about 6 lascannons and 2 battle cannons dropped on him and passed every single 3+. This model was totally free and by himself the whole game. Win
