I love this build but have you thought about how to paint it especially interiors, might be worth doing some painting as you go along, brilliant build though, look forward to more

Anyhow, started work on some more mechs tonight. Really hate the arm casts. Wish i was better at scratch building. Ill either do that or need to make new molds and use the injector technique

It’s going to be a little bit until I start getting the new anphelion base buildings put together. Need to make A LOT of casts and I want to do it right. I’m meeting with a local pro and getting some tips/help. After that I’ll probaly need to work on my set up to. Still waiting on some other supplies for my tanks and some parts for the space port which will be my next building focus.
Until then started work on the two other mechs
not the best image but came across it and it reminded me of my concept layout for the new anphelion based hab towers and walkways

A massive undertaking?
I better get started working on this bits order then
Honestly a lot of this I won’t use too soon. The first things I’ll knock out are the death Korps heavy weapons teams to Finish off my three planetary guard squads and build my heavy weapons mortar team. Then I’ll probably turn back to the Lea man Russ ragnarock.
Questions:
does anyone know what this tread belongs to?
Do you like it better than my current plan of mashing two normal leman Chasis together?
It’s pretty damaged. Do you think it would be weird if I filed down the edges of all the threads to match the broken ones?
While I’m asking, what are these to?

I think that the middle tread is off a 'mortian battle tank' which was like a similar style tank compared to that of the macharius, but i think it's no longer produced because GW sued the person who made them.
Not 100 percent sure about that though, tbh if you have the whole kit its probably worth a lot, as they were very popular

I believe the large track may be from a Crassus Armoured Assault Transport, as the treads seem to match up with mine. On the other hand, the other pieces are very different. Is this all one vehicle? Or multiple bits from multiple different vehicles?

The long tread seems to be from a Macharius Heavy Tank ( At least the shape and the treads are similar)
The pieces of the last two images are from the Trojan Support Vehicle

No lliu, I only have some pieces. These are from a recasters bad pour bin. I just ordered a bunch
I think gloomy is correct though
It does look like enough pieces for the Trojan if I have a chimera though.
Has anyone ever magnatized one?

Agreed. I might not do anything different with it at all and just use it for a Trojan. That or if I really need it I will make a cast of it to use on The ragnarock in the scenario I use those larger treads
In the case of the Trojan, even though it’s super cool that I got one it’s just going to make more work. now I’m going to have to scratch build a trailer or something and Magnatize a chimera.

What are the odds that the brand new pressure tank I buy has a whole in the actual case?
So not being able to get past 30 psi and the fact the pieces I’m casting don’t fit to well in this 2.5 gal pot I didnt get into anything too fun tonight
Just some quick little stuff like cutting down the treads so they all aren’t broken and making some quick reusable blue stuff molds for the missing treads and panels

To: Al or anyone else who’s done casting
I’ve been told to move on from doing LEGO molds and to start using wood and roof flashing. However when I was filling this form with water to figure out my silicone measurements it leaked. Do you think this matters? Silicone should have a much higher viscosity right? I can barely see the holes in the hot glue. But then again if water can find them the pressure probably will too

Pass bud, I haven’t moved onto casting with pressure kit yet, still on the Lego method. Figure a combination of glue gun and strong tape would be the best bet but it’s only a guess!!!

The pressure pot is working and the detail is amazing. Only major issue is getting the surface molds level. Using the pot on its side has the unintended consequence of rotating when you are trying to tighten the lid, after your mold or cast is in it, creating unlevel product. Will need to get that figured out. Either way of course I started with the most important price.
