Please let me know if you like them and if so, they are in the Gallery so please vote too! Also, any advice you can give me would really be appreciated as I know they're not perfect but I'm still quite happy with them. The Force weapons I've just left silver for now since I'm not totally sure how to go about doing the effects for them so if you've got a good technique, please let me in on your secret

Thanks for the praise, really makes me feel like I'm going in the right direction. I only really see the mistakes I make on my own models (I bet most people are the same, right?).

Definitely the same way. Models of mine that get the most praise are the ones I scrutinize the most. You, of course, know where your brush went off course.

They can't see the little mistakes you now you made.

Those look awesome, especially the alternate casings for the incinerator and psycannon.
You ask about power weapons. I like to use this technique:

This was done in 5 minutes on paint, so excuse any mistakes.
It would probably look best for the grey knights if you did this scheme but in blue, from a really dark blue, almost black, right up to ice blue or skull white, depending on your preference.
You could also add lightning on the blade, but I don't like how that looks on mine, imho.
You just need to remember to layer up the different colors. Paint a large rectangle or dark blue, and then a smaller, brighter one on top of that.
Good luck,

Thanks for the graphic Aquaterry, that's really informative. I actually quite like the idea of the green/black but as you say, it'd probably look better with blue for GK. I've got loads of spare weapons I can practice on so I'll use this technique and see how it goes. Might try a few different colours, too - depends on how many different shades of the same colour I have - I think I've got mainly lots of blues, greens and yellows so I'll try them all (although I find yellow difficult to paint with).

I don't like the way yellow looks with this effect, but it could just be my painting skills lacking
What I couldn't show (due to the rushed nature of the pic) was that you need to start with a mix of whatever color you are using and black, so it is almost black. It looks much better when you do lots of layers. After I have done this I like to use a wash to tie it all together. With the blue your best bet would be Asurmen Blue.
