So for my newest Space Marine army in the works, I wanted to use a Fleur-de-Lis symbol as the Chapter marking (the Sisters of Battle icon). If anyone knows how to paint, greenstuff, or convert some of these handy bitz, it would be greatly appreciated!

ALSO! I would like to make most if not all of the army with the Mk VIII (8) Errant Power Armor. FW doesnt yet have a kit for this, so I can settle with just the helmets and raised necks instead of the whole torso/leg makeover. Any guides for this are also greatly welcome, thanks ahead of time guys!

I was thinking of doing this too, I cant think of anything better thanto cut a groove into the torso, place plasticard into that groove, snip off the excess, glue with torso back, and fill with GS. Otherwise, its using GS to sculpt the gorget, which is much harder if you are like me and smiply abuse the GS... good luck though.

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.

Not sure, but I'd bet that Brettonians and Sisters have some Fleur de Lys tranfers on their transfer sheets.

Hmm, there are a few Fleur-de-Lis on the SoB vehicle sprue, and random ones scattered through the WHFB Brettonians, but those are the only molded ones i can think of.

Of course you could wait a year for the rumoured new SoB plastics - they're bound to be full of Fleur-de-Lis

re the armor, the old 'sergeant and special and heavy weapon' minisprue came with one raised collar torso which looks to me like Mk 8. But that was before the sprues were recut - I don't know whether the new 'everything together' sprue includes one of this torso. Hunting down dozens of the old ones could be tediuos and expensive...

@Da Boss Ok, I'll be sure to check those out! I was actually thinking of using a box of Men-at-Arms as Chapter Serfs/Servitors, so there we go!

@Clang Do you have to buy a SoB vehicle to get the sprue? I cant find it as bitz...and new plastics yay! I may have to wait for those and proceed with work on other armies haha

Stop by a hobby store like Hobby Lobby or Michael, and check out their acrapbooking section. Last time I was in I found some 2" paper punches that were in the style your looking for. The 2" ones will cut through thin plasticard with a little effort, an fit nicely on the roof hatches of rhino. There are also smaller punches and you might find a paperpunch to make custom shoulder pads.

If you look in my gallery you'll see some of my drop pods and rhinos where i uaed a 2" arrow to make the tactical symbol on the kits and a chevron to make the assault and devastated emblems.

John.

Theophony, that's a nice tip there. I might go use that for my SoB army now.

If you decide to do this, make sure you go to their website before the store and look for coupons. Hobby Lobby usually has a 40% off coupon on their website every couple of weeks. The most expensive paperpunch that I've purchased was 14.99 us dollars, with a 40% coupon. If you don't live close to a store you can order online also.

Good luck.
