I've started a new character. It's a redguard mage whos biggest inspiration is "Kill stuff"

Turns out it's so much more fun than playing the good guy. Next time, I'll play an actual evil character, who's cruel and manipulative, but right now, slaughter all the way.

Guardsmen, Fire!
...Feth yeah!

Heh. I just started a morally ambiguous Breton conjure spellblade. Two points in conjuring are beast (mystic binding). Ran across an imperial patrol with captive on the way to white run. Decided my character wasn't happy about the almost execution. They didn't last long.

Nah, not really. They are a business first and formost. Their god has basically gone into business, he wants slaughtered souls, his servents need to make a living, and people want other people dead and are willing to pay handsomly for it to happen.

And then I talked to a Thalmor Justiciar.

Seriously, that one conversation completely changed my whole allegiance- from "I've served the Empire faithfully all my life" to "Screw you and the Empire that coddles you".

That must have been one hell of a conversation. Where's this guy?

It was just a basic Thalmor Justiciar, the one that patrols with his prisoners between Whiterun and Riverwood. I basically walked up to him, all "Hey there, fellow Imperial supporting dude, where you taking the prisoners?"

He says they're criminals for worshiping Talos and accuses me of the same (sorta) basically asking "You don't worship Talos, do you?" in as insulting and threatening a manner as possible. I, having done nothing to warrant this treatment, and feeling a little insulted, said "I worship who I want, thank you very much". He calls me a heretic and orders his guards to attack. Now, when the options are "Yes, I worship Talos!", "I worship who I want" and "I worship only the Eight" I figured the second option was insulting, but not heretical. This guy apparently just didn't like the look of my ears, though, and decided to take it in a bad light.

Ya, I had that same conversation and killed that guy. Don't see why that would change your opinion in the Empire. Should change your opinion on the Thalmor.

I was talking to Legate Rikke, the Nord bitch of Tullius, and she basically explained to me what I had thought long and hard about.

"If the Empire is to have any hope of achieving its long term goal, to drive back the Thalmor, we have to stay united - and that includes Skyrim"

"Ulfric and his petty squabbles can only weaken the forces against the Dominion, and that is why he must be stopped"

Basically sealed my thoughts that the Imperial resolution to the Civil War will be canon - it just makes more sense.

It's either that, or they go with the Dovahkiin, who steps in at the most opportune time, and gets both sides to see the error of their ways, and gets a truce and lasting peace signed.

Or just kill them all.

No war in Skyrim if there's noone left to fight.

Or either way it goes, the Dovakhiin, either as a vassal of the Empire or High Thane of Skyrim, gainst the allegiance of both the Nords of Skyrim and the rest of the provinces of Tamriel, though force of arms, prophecy and sheer charisma.

Just found my new favourite thing, killing Stormcloak prisoners being escorted around by Imperials. I just hack the stormcloak down in one swing, and it doesn't trigger a reaction from the guards. They just walk up to the corpse and stand there. I'm free to just wander off.

In the words of the great Gross Point Blank;

"No, I psychopath kills for no reason. I kill for money."

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

I really, really want to be able to become a Lich. Not a Dragon Priest, just a Lich.

I always pester Bethesda to include this in their next ES title, but they always ignore it. M'aiq the Liar even made fun of those who were asking for it in Oblivion.

The mods that have attempted to do so have been pretty bad, but with the CE in Skyrim I'm hoping that someone tries it.

The next ES title could very likely go into Summerset Isle, the home of the Thalmor, so I could see them expanding the magic side of things a lot in that new environment.

What?

You could resurrect dead bodies left and right. That was also the main premise of the Mages Guild quest, rooting out Necromancy.

When things aren't actually in the game I tend to be stopped from doing it

This excludes mods obviously, mods can add in the lich feature Karon wanted.

I'm betting the next game will be Hammerfell, either with the next big war starting up or winding down, or at the least resistance against the thalmor.

I'm thinking Black Marsh or Elsewyr. There's quite a bit going on in the land of the Argonians, and the Plains where the Khajiit live would be ripe for some A-1 storytelling.
