What's the most atmospheric film you have seen lately that had a 'feel' to it?
I watched Eraserhead last night and it was a crackin' film that was as wierd as it was atmospheric that I definitely recommnend.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre has a really pervasive sense of dread and paranoia that makes the movie absolutely brutal to watch.
The Devil's Rejects has the same feel. You just know awful things are going to happen and you can't do anything about it.

Ever see a flick called "Perfect Creature"?
That had a really good 'Steam Punk' Atmosphere, IMHO.
And Children of men had pretty oppresive, dark Atmosphere too.

New Orleans used to be sprinkled with "squat houses" that a lot of the Punk/Hardcore scene used .
