Well in Norse Mythology are sometimes depicted as a winged female warrior, who decides who is gonna die in battle.
From there I had the idea of making my skyclaws Valkyries for my space puppies army (since its Norse Mythology themed already http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/292999.page )
I would use the blood angel winged jump packs, but the only problem is female bodies. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what I could use for female bodies?

The witch hunters fast attack section of the gw website. Seraphim fit that description very well.

They do look like they would fit the part but it would be a pain imo since those are metal. Also I think It would look like I was just running witch hunter models with wings. I wonder if it would be possible to green stuff some boobie shaped breastplates out of normal marine chests. so I could make them still feel very VIking/Space Puppy.

Just use the plastic witch hunter troops then, and add the winged jump packs.

Those don't exist :(

Try working off of the Dark Eldar Scourges maybe? This is literally the first time I've seen "Marine + female" and didn't gag because Valkyries are actually pretty cool.

I think that is an awesome idea I look forward to your progress.

Adam's Motto: Paint, Create, Play, but above all, have fun. -and for something silly below-

"We are the Ultramodrines, And We Shall Fear No Trolls. bear this USR with pride".

Also, how does one apply to be a member of the Ultramodrines? Are harsh trials involved, ones that would test my faith as a wargamer and resolve as a geek?

Well at the end of the day I have just about put this project on the back burner and decided to hide these dark eldar models from my fiancee and hope she doesnt figure out i bought more 40k stuff.
I will come back to this valkyrie idea later on down the road when they release some new witch hunter things or i become a pro sculptor (LOL). If you have any tips or ideas please let me know, because it is a cool idea to make Valkyries, but it is also hard.

I saw a thread on dakka a few months back where someone had made a skyclaw out of a seraphim model, and it turned out pretty well. I've been driving myself crazy trying to find the thread now though, and I can't. Maybe someone else knows.

I remember that thread to and it was the first thing I thought of when I saw title. I'll append my post with that info.
