Just wanted to show off my lastest project. My grey knights are of a blue tint to make them a bit different. Just checking to see what you think of it I have gone for a more pale scheme after my strong green theme with my tau to have a better contrast.

There is a scenic shot of them with the storm raven

The 6 strong termi squad

A close up shot to show the details

The storm raven itself it and the DK are of a grey/white scheme to make them different to the blue termi

The mighty dreadknight! it doesn't look as bad when you have it infront of you.

A combined pic to show the size of the DK

Looks good but there are a couple of things that could be improved, mainly the mould lines which could be tidied up, and having the base brimming with static grass isn't a very convincing effect?

You have a very decent collection here!

But it's true that your bases look like a golf course. You could try adding some rocks or some sand to them.

I like the marble-grey-blue effect on the terminators. A very nice differentiation on the usual.

They look really nice.

I add my voice to those who say you really need to rebase those. Try using sand painted brown and then adding the static grass (not all bright green: there's always patches of yellow grass) in clumps. They will look so much better.

I quite like how happy their planet looks. We need more happy daemon slayers in perfect safe and lovely places

Surely, "happy" is most heretical in the 40k universe.

I love the paint scheme man! And you wouldn't have to go all out and rebase them.. just get some of the small flint stones from your FLGS and glue em in to break up all that green a bit. Not every planet has to be a war-torched wasteland that has never supported natural life!

Its been a long time but since I finished my guard I have completed some more grey knights! I know I know every one of my threads have the you need to base your models better comments. Just letting you all know I will be looking for some stones to add to the bases but in the mean time it will be beautifully mowed lawns for all my minis. I also have a new background so no more peaceful farms to destroy in the background

Also to let you know how I got my colour scheme, its codex grey basecoat, washed with asurmen blue and dry brushed with fortress grey and a light edge drybrush of skull white. the gold was boltgun metal than burnished gold , sepia wash and mithril dry brush. the blue was icy blue, blue wash and skull white dry brush.

So here is what I have completed so far. You may ask where is the dreadknight? Well I sold that a while back to make money to buy some guard stuff.

This is the second terminator squad kinda looks like the first one

Here are the aobr dreads with FW autocannon arms, not sure what I should put on the white part of the legs any idea from transfers I got IG and space marine transfers on hand. You will notice that in keeping with the theme of storm raven and the dreadknight I did not wash the armour blue before draybrushing. I did that to make the vehicles to stand out from the infantry and to save money on washes as they are expensive to use on vehicles

Finally my commander and vindicare assassin, the assassin is a Mike McVey minature and looks fantastic though my painting fails to do it justice.

besides the plain bases any comments and suggestions would be great

I like the bases, maybe on the dread bases put some some rocks but the termies look fine.

you have done a very good paintjob but god.. every time i see those plain grass bases.. i have to puke.. sorr about that.. but i really don't like it BUT it's a good thing they match your board that's a good thing

and a tip (bcuz our force ain't massive YET) try to drill out the barrels of their guns.. it looks so much better
like these for example

Blue knights! I feel like I have been ripped off! I think with your purifiers it would look better if you did the blue was over the silver as more of a glaze, ie, heavily watering it down, see my log if you want to know what I mean.

Thanks for the reply guys, I will be adding slate to the bases and painting black gun barrels, Also just to comment my wash is not over silver but a dark grey and the intention was to have a blue/grey scheme more inline with space wolves

Oh well bought these 3 assassins for $20 on sunday and have finished them to table top. The Eversor's gun needs cleaning up as the orange and blue is a bit blobby. But thought I show some thing else that is not blue

I am thinking another wash would be good to make the synskin look darker.

Not bad, you really should put more effort into your bases, just grass looks wrong.
