Simply convert the staff and claw with existing AdMech and you got a winner!

It looks good but it sort of looks like an amalgam of scibor and micro art studio models.
I dig the crisp detail and intricate design but it dose come off somewhat unoriginal, even in the realm of '40k compatible' .
Looking at it close I really like the basing they have built in to their models. I hope they do some inserts for 30, 40, and 50mm round lip bases. I would probably get a set or two of those.

The"not power klaw" looks kinda funny but the mini is nice and detailed
Would make a nice Tech Magos or something
But it says 58mm for a 28mm scale model, does this mean it dwarfs terminators? That makes him one big guy

Yes, some of the Tech Adepts and Arch Magos were larger than TDA armoured Marines, due to their implants and "enhancements"

Too busy. Too much gak going on.
Everything from the chest down? Perfect. Everything above that? We've got problems:
1. Cog staff? Fine. Cog staff with face? Ok. Cog staff with face that has multiple tubes running from it obscuring the cog pattern? Not so good. Cog staff with face that has multiple tubes running from it obscuring the cog pattern and a blade/power thingy sticking up above it? That's a bit too much. Cog staff with face that has multiple tubes running from it obscuring the cog pattern and a blade/power thingy sticking up above it and another one next to it? Enough!!!
2. The claw? Not a fan. Too Orky.
3. Back pack? Fine. Backpack with big exhaust? Ok. Backpack with two big exhausts? I can live with it. Back pack with two big exhausts and wings as well? Just stop!!!
4. Hooded cowl for his head? No problems there. Hooded cowl with a rebreather? No issues. Hooded cowl with rebreather and cog iconocraphy running across the top of his head? Alright. Hooded cowl with rebreather and cog iconocraphy running across the top of his head and a spiked halo running above that? No more!!!
It's like there were several possible designs for this model and rather than picking one, or even making a series, the designer just decided to put everything on (wings, halo, cog staff, claw, etc.).
It could be a great model, a model I would buy in a heartbeat for my AdMech army... but there's just too much going on with this model.

Hmm... perhaps if the wings had chainswords on them and instead of spokes on the cogs, they were skulls?

Pretty much what I was going to say. The skill is there but the overall design has to be tied together better.
Compare it to Micro Arts Studio's Iron Brotherhood
Simple, coherent, grimdark and the figures look great.
I'll keep my eyes out for more from Hitech but I won't be getting this.

I think this looks great and very Geiger-ish.
Sure, while not "perfect for ME" (I'm not fond of the claw or the sheers at the top of the staff) I really do like it and the aesthetic they're presenting.

I believe that it is in 28mm scale, i.e. it's head and arm length are scaled to that, but that the model is supposed to have some sort of mechanical legs/tentacles beneath his robe boosting his height to 58mm.
I can attest to the quality of Hitech Minis. I've got the hell cruiser, and the sculpt and level of detail are phenomenal. I'd like to see a comparison to a space marine on this one though before I make a purchase.

I LOL'd.
Kroothawk, you first post in this thread to say you are confused. However, if you are to look at the pic in the OP, it states in the lower-left "28mm scale" then on the lower right it simply gives you the height of the mini to the eyeline.
Then another poster comes in and confirms this, though unnecessary for those with eyes.
Then you come back in and pretend to be all-knowing and claim you were told by some un-named source that it "is indeed 28mm scale but 58mm high up to the tip of the staff."
You are classic in your attempts to appear omniscient in the N&R forums of Dakka, but this one was just pure golden!

Read again:
28mm scale (usually measured feet to eye level) and 58mm feet to eye level do indeed contradict each other (miniature would be 80+ mm high, definitely not 28mm scale).
I asked an importer today who confirmed that the 58mm eye level info is false and should read 58mm total height. I ordered it and should know pretty soon.
So no need to be rude, even given your avatar.

I would ordinarily agree, but in this case the business is what makes it work for me... although that may just be because the busy detail largely hides the robe, which is generally the real weak point of the HiTech stuff...

An image from the company clearly shows that it is indeed 58mm to the eye level and 98mm overall, not 58mm over all. The fact that it's on a 40mm base should clue you in.
So there we have it. Definitive measurements.

You seem to have scale and size confused.
Something created at 28mm scale can be larger than 28mm high at eye level. For example, Ghazghul Thrakka.
How is it so difficult to understand?

Indeed. Another closer example is the Dreadknight, since according to the scluptor, this model is "dressed in a large cloak which conceals countless cables, wires, pipes, and strange machinery" which boosts it's height. The head and arms are still comparable to a space marine in size and proportion, even though the height of the model is much taller.
From the sculptor's blog today (I'm almost positive English is not his native language):
Most of my works are in 28mm scale but they are higher than 28mm . Strange ?
Miniatures are made with 28mm SCALE .
This implies that while the anatomy of the figure is made in 28mm scale every anatomic parts of body should be fit to the 28mm scale character BUT Heroic Scale exaggerates certain aspects (Such as the armor/weapons). Thus, certain portions of the figurine may appear more grand and impressive than true 28mm scale. Future warriors have improved muscle mass, may consist a different bio-tech implants. S-F World allows the designer to a very wide discretion. The scale generally describe model size that will allow YOU to decide whether it can be useful or not.
This is a popular style in many science fiction and fantasy miniature settings, thus your miniature should be right at home on your tabletop. The dimensions of each miniature are detailed in the model description.
Hope that helps!

Someone's math is seriously messed up in that last picture. Granted I'm the product of public education, but I don't remember being taught to add horizonal measurements to vertical ones so as to arrive at a "total height" of something.
