Use the standard IG bodies. In all that armor, the difference between genders would be pretty hard to spot.

There are a number of female IG regiments (and even mixed regiments) in the official fluff.

As to torsos - there are a couple of companies that I've seen doing them, but they are generally not actually very good. Better to use standard IG tosos and shorten them by removing the belt and then using a small amount of GS to pad out the chest armour plates very slightly.

Won't find any female IG in my army....unless there doing [insert negative typical female job]. Anyways i'm sure you could find custom models somewhere, because I know in the gallary there are a few shots of female guardsmen armies.

I remember the folks over at Tauonline had some pretty decent looking female IG torsos at one time. I am not sure how they got them though. I wonder if someone like Zealot Miniatures would be willing to make some female IG heads and torsos?

Well, looking at the sticky at the top of this forum, apparently shadowforge make female IG: http://www.shadowforge.com.au/

It's quite obvious that they're doing the Cadian look with these torsos...

That would work if GW used more human proportions on their models. With the exaggerated bulk added to GW's male models, female heads on standard guard bodies just look ridiculous. Seriously, it's been tried... it doesn't work.

Takes some lookikng around, I htink Pig Iron do actually work...

Since cadian torsos are covered in plate, its actually very easy to sculpt a pair of breats onto them, because it would again still be armor plate, albeit with a slightly raised slope. The only problem I see with this is that GW makes its stuff fit snugly and perfectly as best as it can in order to avoid a competitor from creating compatible parts, so.... if you raise that chest, you might not be able to get all the lasguns to fit.....

In addition to what's already been said...

TINs bits make a few.

Lost Clan used to, but the site seems to be down. You may be able to find them elsewhere though.

Chapterhouse Studios has a kit in the works, plus accessories. It's not out yet though.

Guys, it's not just a case of "glue on a chick's head, green stuff some titties, job done".

There are other differences, basically the entire body structure has to be modified to include wider hips and a more slender frame, along with more subtle differences like smaller hands and feet (the hands and feet on GW models are already about 1.5 - 2x bigger than they would be in real life, so this is a particularly big problem).

GW heroic scale just about works for their roid-pumping males, but will look ridiculous for a female model.

You really need an entirely new sculpt to get them to fit properly, not just "chest upgrade packs".

Unfortunately they look like Barbie Guard and you still have to use the regular IG arms, which makes them look even more stupid. At least, that is how it was working last time I saw a WIP of them...

Depending on what he shows eventually, it may be the first things i ever buy from them.

Hey, OP asked for female IG conversion packs. Not female IG conversion packs with the SilverMK2 seal of approval.

Well, I'm glad to know that you are out there protecting his innocence from peoples opinions on products he might potentially look into buying (although given that the CH range is not on sale yet, and as far as I am aware no release date for it has been mentioned...).

I'm not really a big fan of any of those kits either, but I'd think the OP would be just as capable of forming an opinion based on pictures as you or I. If he likes them, great. If not, that's fine too.

Shadowforge also makes some decent female Catachans, but the few metal miniatures may not be enough to make a whole army.

Wow were a simple question can evolve into this, the chapter-house link and shadowforge, look like the most promising when they become availeable, though one concern about the chapter house stuff are like the fincast concerns very bad mold lines, i order some jump-pack, two of them were unuseable, do to a couple of holes, and very thick flashing

you need to swap the heads. Beyond that, guard issue comes only in two sizes: too big and too small, so everyone will look the same. Subtle details SCREAM when everyone looks identical, so scultping bewb armor will do the trick (and, of course, swapping heads)

Boob armour? Go look at what real women look like in swat and military clothing, they don't have massive boulders sticking out in front of them, you can't see their breasts in fact because of the armour. The bulky nature of most military clothing means that you can't see much hip either. Even in my martial arts class the uniform turns everyone's bodies into shapless blobs.
A female Cadian using typical male to female differences would be shorter, have much smaller hands and feet, narrower shoulders and maybe a more rounded backside and of course a female face.

If you can find them somewhere the "Doc Thunder" female IG kits were fantastic, the sculpting was very talented and accounted for the difference between males and females above and beyond boobs.

This is a pic of the whole kit:

While the IG were done well (sculpting), the whole "cutie-pie" pigeon-toed, crooked knee pose is stereotypical silliness. The same type of idealized and unrealistic female representation found in most of the "tee-hee" models Hasslefree and Copplestone model sculpts. Aside from that one pose, those female IG are excellent.

His femme marines and their rocket boobs, however... Ugh. Let's not go there again.

I really like the Doc Thunder kit. I can't seem to find it anywhere. The original link for purchasing was:

but it isn't working anymore....

Heck Doctor Thunder hasn't posted on dakka since 2009...
