I love the hell out of that ... Anti Air? support Valkir variant with the guns on each arm. Looks even more awesome than the rest of them.

I too am really loving the twin gun arms for some reason, almost makes me want a leviathan version of that.

Or of the single cannon with the muzzle break. "Leviathan Sniper Cannon" sort of weapon? The "Widowmaker" maybe?

Have you assembled a Beowulf/Grendel? That thing is sooooooo long. It almost makes you want to brace it on a ruined building for support.

Yes, I do indeed have that twined L+R B/G gun thing going on. If only I had more time to actually get on with working on my Leviathan and the weapons. Even so, I'd love something of a smaller gauge with a rifled barrel to give even greater accuracy and/or range. And what's not to like about a Levi sized M107?

I want to buy one of those guns to use as an artillery emplacement. The more exotic cannon can be my big honkin' space guns.

Seeing about the SOB rumor thread is there any chance in the future of a womanized valkir armor? would make great SOB variants IMHO.

Guys, the river in winter. We don't want to get carried away here.

I see what you meant, Conrad. Yes, it would be a brilliant idea. Especially with a sweet muzzle brake too. As I was laying in bed last night, unable to sleep, my thoughts wandered, as they are wont to do lately, to my never-started imperial company dropship plans.

I can just see two HEL canons under the back wings, two Vulkan guns in the forecastle and a deck of those "AA guns" above the troop bay as the ramp gets lowered.

Mark, I'll gladly accept a donation.

Project Update #136: Valkir 20 man have cleared T1
Posted by Mark Mondragon ♥ Like

Just a quick update:

The Valkir 20 man box set (Core Troopers) have cleared T1 and samples have been dispatched to me for test assembly.

Part of me is wondering if they are keeping the Command Squad for last because it is largely a known quantity.

People were planning on using Black Widows for that iirc. They're human so a human sized mini in full body armour should work fine.

New rumor circulating that grey knights are after space wolves. Who'd of thought that GW would get a new edition(or is it 2 now) out and an updated codex out before the kickstarter completed . I figure they are trying to get the sales on their kits before China gets tired of saying "No" and gets the production completed.

Well, if the codex now sucks, I'll have to find something else to do with all of my Wave 3.

I will be using the costs for my Valkyrs for now using my old Witchhunters codex.

To me the Black Widows are IG, but use the female heads/stahl helms on Valkyrie armor as it looks bulky enough to be gender obscuring.

SoB were always wearing the 40k version of Bubble-gum crisis powered armor, sure more bulky than BGC, but more form fitting and curvy than SM powered armor.

I should have checked my email I guess. Shadokesh look to have an excellent style! To be expected from Mark i guess. The combination of cloth and plate works well I think.

Runnin up on ya.

Not bad but the length of the (skirt?) would be clumsy in combat I would think. Maybe blousy leggings like hakama (really comfortable by the way).

Something like this:

Notice the very deep pleats? They allow for flow of the garment and don't inhibit range of motion.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

He's still undecided about the feet, so that might still happen. Although I don't think those can be ruled out, since the whole bottom of the model is heavily WIP.

I didn't get an email, was it from an update or from his website?

Also, not really digging it at this point. I think the elbow joints are what's really throwing me off.

I posted on my FB group.DreamForge-Games Artist Retreat https://www.facebook.com/groups/1401326060121348/1454644384789515/?notif_t=group_comment

" Reworking the Shadokesh.

Looking at the original model form the Kickstarter, I realized we were close but not quite there. The basic form was OK but it was not conveying the dread I wanted the Eisenkern trooper to feel when facing this adversary.

I have begun reworking the Shadokesh trooper, so far the head, chest, shoulders and abdomen have been roughed in, the skirt lower arms and hands are still WIP’s. After I am through roughing it in, everything will take a run through Zbrush for refinement."

Still tweaking and I agree, those are the old arms and they need revision...

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

Thanks Mark. That also explains why I didn't get anything as I have limited web access, mostly through work where things like FB and videos are blocked.

I see Bipedal Shadows, myself. And I think it's great. Not sure about the lower body, but I have faith that Mark won't put out anything less than his best.

And the Vorlons weren't actually that 'good'. They were the same as the Shadows, just they were more subtle about how they wanted to control the younger races.

I know - only Ambassador Kosh might have been actually 'good' in how humans would define it...

Still, looking forward to an opposing force here - and the rules too of course!

Idk why every one is making B5 references. Vorlons didn't have arms on the encounter suits.

If anything these guys are very reminiscent of the Chigs from Space: Above and Beyond.

Not sure im digging it tho. Maybe its the static pose. (And yes I understand it's just the way he built the model)
