Very nice, I love the chainsword on that miniature, such a fine weapon. More like the old rt era swords. Lovely bone white as well.

@Gits - Thanks mate, I was really happy with how it all came out.

@Calibanite Lion - Yeah, some of the older weapons look much more blood thirsty and fearsome compared to the newer more refined weapons, heck, marines are there to strike fear into their enemies!

Update: Apologies for no posting for a bit, after the last push I've been trying to find another project and having 3-4 potential projects to do means I have yet to make up my mind.
So in the mean time I figured I would do a small project (shouldn't take so long) based from a throw back on my Grey Knights

If you look at the demon head on the below paladin I tried a different technique, a silver base with a wash over the top. Well I found myself with a bunch of demons and I've wanted to play it out on a bigger scale.

Unfortunately this bit takes a bit due to the washes taking a bit to dry so bear with me and I'll see what I can do. First up red wash coat 1

This is an interesting idea, some sort of molten metal daemon perhaps, animated metal golem? I have done a test marine using the inks over silver and it does look good after a few coats, mine were blue though.

@Calibanite Lion - Yeah I saw someone do a tutorial on painting marines up this way but as I didn't have a grey wash I decided to do it another way.

@Gits - Yeah I think I might do one more coat after this, should be dark enough, we shall see

You and me both, after this coat I don't think I'd want it to go any darker, you'd lose the metal undertone.

Looks like a shiny translucent pinkish colour on my screen... just the way I'd imagine warp spawn. Cool technique!

Your crazy for batch painting all those Necrons but the end result was worth it

The apothecary is bad ass and your metallic Daemon look is something to keep an eye on

Update: Red's have have had all the coats, onto bronzes

@Dakkamite - Yeah, used the same technique as I would to paint normal skintones. Also yep, free hand on the banner using a micron pen

@Gits - Thanks bud, certainly worth it, bit of a risk though

Update: So expanding on the whole trying new things I have 5 more demons, 2 horrors and 3 demonettes

Oh man those letters came out sweet! The banner reminds me I need to pick your brain re: micro-pens. Lets do that rematch too, see if I can kill more than 11 models
