I'll make it an intact building, and use the stacking floors! Detail the interior of each floor, so you can get minis inside!

Nah..my idea is bust because of the way they stack and the support molding being on top, not on bottom.

I'm gone at work for a full day and now we are spouting nonsense? Dave have you never been to get the experimental MIRV in Fallout 3, you litterally have to stack up the barrels to get to one of the switches, there are doors to no where all the time. If Fo3 worked on my mac I would go there in a heartbeat and show you.

That being said I am way more interested in seeing an alley way set up. Like that part with the crazy guy who tries to blow you up if you go down there.

Also great work so far, keep it up glad to see that you are kicking into full gear again.

You seem to know quite a lot about scale model terrain and buildings, can you point my in a good direction of a castle wall and or gate?

As to doors to no where they always could be out to a balcony, or a nice fire escape running up to the roof?

Sorry, lots of family time yesterday, so couldn't chime in. I say keep it in tact dave, if anything blow out just one back corner, to let h sun shine in. I don't know if either of he two small boxes between levels would allow for your staircase to be a split staircase. If so I'd pu it back there. Looks like an older design building where the bottom floor would be a business, then a separate entry on the side or back or the top floors for offices or apartments. Back area of the first floor could be food prep and storage with a solid wall between it and the stairs up. The second floor old be an office like an accounting firm (bathroom only, no shower or tub), and the third floor be a single bedroom apartment, like o'grady lives there. That center round connector could be used for your plumbing shaft, or central heating vent from a basement boiler room, which I think you should build a cellar door for that attaches behind the building.

I like how the doorways on your buildings are Space Marine proof - they'd never be able to get their huge shoulder pads to fit through

ALL of my terrain is Space Marine proof! so is my Modeling bench and gaming table!

Its been too long since ive posted anything, particularly due to the fact that ive no idea about terrain modelling so ive really got nothing constructive (haha) to offer. other than this is mindboggly cool that you can build these sets! I mean, i aint gonna lie, itd be pretty dang fun to play on one of your tables! Maybe one of these days ill be inspired enough to try my hand at this .... someday...

Thanks Bebop! I find terrain a lot more forgiving than figure painting. I can sort of do my own thing without worrying about eyes

I haven't done much with 40k at all for quite awhile. In fact, my Catachans have been in their travel case for over a year now!

I was shopping for plastcruct plasitcard last night but I still haven't gotten paid yet so I was unable to do that.

@dave darn I am sad to hear that you have no recommendations I may just try to build my own before dropping money on the WHFB GW ones. We will just have to see. But on a side note I ended up gong to Michael's (craft shop in the us here for anyone who doesn't know) today with my Mother as she needed a few things and I found 2 rolls of 36" by 18" brick and cobblestone streets from the christmas village.

I always wanted one of the GW castles, but I'd probably build my own myself. Although, by the time you buy that much brick plasticard, it may be cheaper to buy GW's I dunno. Carved foam is always a possibility too.

I was thinking carved foam. And I just bought a roll of 36" by 18" plasticardish material for around 17$ I could probably work with that if I needed to.

Dave, cut the buildings diagonally in the exact corners, and scratch build the ruined wall sections... I know you can do it, the league knows you can do it, feth, even you know you can do it...

Maus, I would need exact matching plasticard to do that
