In my opinion, it is fairly doable with the durability that are Paladins; however, I would be wrong in saying its going to be super awesomeness. I would consider possibly dropping the 3rd Dreadknight in favor of a Greatsword and Heavy Incinerator on the first 2 Dreadknights.

Test it out though because I think you can give many of those armies a run for their money.

I agree - I am unsure as to whether to use the dreadknights or terminators, though.

I think the DK's will give you what this list lacks, more high profile targets, things to give the Paladins cover and something that moves fast.
I would recommend dropping the third DK for Heavy Incinerators on both Jump DK's, as well as some servo skulls from the libby to help control early game scouts/infiltrators.
Also, give your libby Sanctuary, excellent power when getting charged by Orks/Blobs or Wyches. Edit: and Nids!

Probably the second option to save 15 points on the traitor and 2 KP on the first mission, and to allow you to Grand Strategy reactively in the second scenario rather than making the DKs scoring.

This is close to the list I want to run but keep getting cold feet.

I like the first list over the second one. Theres just something about 20 paladins and 3 dreadknights that sounds like fun.

Wow that first list is intimidating. I'd go with that. The Librarian needs sanctuary. It's the best power to have in a Paladin list. It gives you a chance to stop enemy GK's from getting the charge on you with their grenades. I to would drop the walking DK for incinerators and swords on the others, but get Sanctuary in there it's better than quicksilver.

I thing I will run it like that.

I am also debating dropping the great swords for 1 naked paladin for the 1st mission traitor swap and for late game dep striking on objectives. Thoughts on that?

Ran almost that exact same list at our qualifier yesterday and got 2nd out of 16. My one loss was to the #1 guy running orks. The only significant difference was that I had a vindicare who really didn't shine due to my poor placement of him 2/3 missions.

In the 3rd mission you'll do well if you concentrate your forces and play defensively.

While i see why apothecarys would be helpful in an all-paladins list, think of what you can get if you drop it. A teleporter on the 3rd dread and incinerators on all of them, just about. It's your call though.

At 2500, I think the apothecary is necessary - since there is nothing else for the high ap weapons to shoot, you make a ton of 2+ saves. That apothecary negated half of the ones you roll. I am dropping the naked dreadknight to add a greatsword and incinerator to both jump knights, though.

The way I have read the missions, you just give your opponent a model that would be a troops model in your list, not one of the actual models in your list.

I think the 2dks are too expensive. I would go for 2 nonjumping dks with nothing but an incinerator + 1 vindicare assassin, but that is just me.

I also would not worry too much about the traitor. The bad news is you are going to trade a 55 point pally for a 5 point guardsman, the good news is you have between 5 and 7 kp in the traitor mission. Most horde lists with cheap models are going to have between 20 and 30 kp, so as long as you don't get tabeled you should win.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

How is the vindicare a 66% first turn win?
Although scouting, shunting dreadknights are great, scout isn't allowed in any of the missions I saw!

Because he can snipe out the traitor in mission one.

Lol the Eldar can do the same with Eldrad haha.

One turbo-pen round and . . . oh look at that. I just earned 5 FCKING kill points. That is an instant win. Then just keep the Vindicare in the back for the rest of game lol.

Scouting is not a special rule given by mission it is a USR so yes you can scout in all missions. And as far as shunting for your scout move they FAQ'ed that so you can't do that anymore.

But it is still nice to shunt 1st turn with a flamer and kill some stuff. Then they have big and nasty right there to worry about.

Inigo is entirely correct. There is no scouting in 'Ard Boyz this year.

As far as the list goes, i would try to find some points for servo skulls or for a teleport homer. One bad scatter and you could lose 1000 points. Other then that, looks good.

Yes, you would get a auto win if you killed the traitor. unless you get tabled in which case your opponent will, of course, win. Although against this list, dark eldar is your only real threat to being tabled. I know you said there wouldn't be any, but hey, some guy might surprise you.

Where do you get that from? Scout is not a mission special rule. The only special rules that missinos have are reserves, night fight, outflank and deep strike. And other special one that might be created.

So show me where you get no scout?

So my meganobs can't use Slow & Purposeful..sweet so now I don't have to worry about them being slow as they are alos a USR(like scout) but not a mission rule so awesome thanks for letting me know.

The confusion comes from the ard boyz missions stating infilitrate or not stating infiltrate in the special rules. Infilitrate is a USR and not a mission special rule, just like Scout -- so folks are taking it to its final conclusion -- not mentioned so no scouting.

I think Dreadknights are more durable. The can't be destroyed by a single MM shot.Dreads can be destroyed by 1 plasma pistol.

Dreadknights are better in an assault, which is where the GK want to be.Dreadnoughts, however, gain Str 10 from Doomfists, but this isd not a compelling arguement.Dreadknights can Deep strike, can get telporters, and the greatsword, which is a deadly weapon against vehicles.Strength 6/7,2D6 penetration with rerolls to hit and pen.
