I enjoyed Spider-Man Noir, though I have zero interest in the other noir stories. Especially since I do not see any point at all in making Noir stories out of Daredevil and Punisher.
I heard interesting things about Iron Man Noir though.
While not on the friendly-neightbour side, when it comes to dealing with his foes, he's the one that've always appealed the most to me throughout the years!

It does bare many similarities to Marvel Zombies, what with the dead coming back to life* and everything, but there are a few major differences.
1) It's in continuity
2) It deals heavily with the emotional spectrum concept introduced in the Green Lantern books
3) Some of it sort of deals with the death is cheap trpe of comic books
4) It gave us Orange Lantern Lex Luthor, clearly the most awesome thing in the history of awesome, ever.
* sort of, read the last 2 issues for clarification.
I might be biased, being a DC guy, and seeing as Blackest Night was the first 'event' for which I read all the books and tie-ins as they were released.
The whole spectrum is actually one of the things that bugs me most about it. I get what the Green Lantern Corps is about and I guess the Sinestro Corps is okay too, but the rest?
The Starfire Corps, because Pink stands for Love!
Saw a few more episodes of Young Justice. It's really cool.
One thing I enjoy the most is the Superboy/Superman relationship. He's pissed off and grumpy all the time and Supes can't handle the fact he now has a "son". Is that how it's in the comics?
Da Boss wrote:Just catching up with young justice myself, pretty good. Though, Superboy or is it Emoboy, amirite?
Problem is, Connor can only cut himself with a Kryptonite knife. I like him the way he is. Truth to be told, I don't know Squat about Superboy, but he's more interesting than I suspected.
I've heard that a person can only wear the suit for so long/X ( se what i did there eh !) number of times before it bonds/bad things happen. So presumably this'll lead to new people getting to wear it every now and again.
I give less than 2 years until Frank Castle winds up wearing it somehow or other...shortly befor the series is cancelled and the concept forgotten or revamped.
..'cause Marvel needs another pseudo spy/espionage but with super powers book like DC needs another Batman title right ?
How awful does that look ? Especially the one with all the smiles on the right : " Hooray ! My brotehrs's dead ! "... WTF ?!
The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
"the play's the thing wherein I'll catch the conscience of the king,
Wow.... that looks really, really stupid.
Why Spider-Man? If those are anything like the FF-stories I know, I don't see how he would be much help. And I get the feeling that they're doing the same thing with him they did with Wolverine. He's in every Team now.
Speaking of comic-based cartoons, is anyone else watching Batman: The Brave and the Bold? I love that show!

Yeah i think i remarked before how removal of the symbiote was supposed to kill the host but maybe mac gargan didn't have it long enough. Eddie Brock sure as hell did though. I don't really know what happened in that storyline though but Eddie somehow ended up with another symbiote...
As for Spidey replacing Johnny storm: Fine by me! I don't think anyone really like Johnny anyway and I don't think this is even Spidey's first tour of duty with the FF. Although I guess it doesn't have the number 4 in it anymore so I wouldn't be surprised if they actually add more members. I'll try it out.
I've got more of a problem with Spidey and Wolverine being on BOTH Avengers teams. Really takes away from the idea of there even being two avengers teams in the first place.

We're still in Dark Reign over here. I don't know the current Avenger layout.

I'm only reading New Avengers. Which, at this point, is still the "underground" team hunted by the Dark Avengers. Spidey, Wolverine, Bucky Cap, Cage, Spider-Woman etc.
If you're refering to the Dark Avengers as second team, I thought their whole point was that they were copies of the real avengers. Daken impersonating Logan, Venom looking like Spidey. Don't tell me they're still around after Dark Reign ends.

No but they were around for 2 years. Get it, its good - same writer.
You know I wouldn't mind if spidey actually joined the FF and that was it. Yet you know this costume will not appear in other spidey comics. It will be treated almost like a seperate character and not affect the other comics.

Of course you never know...it could happen.
So you prefer that it is more isolated or less isolated?

Less Isolated. If they are going to do it, then do it. For example, when Iron Man is part of the Avengers it is not isolated to the Avengers comic. Every comic has him as part of the avengers even if the stories are not directly related to the events in the Avengers.
If spidey is joining the team, then I expect it to be apparent in every comic that Spidey is featured in.

I guess so. In the last Amazing Spider-Man Spidey called in his Avengers buddies for a big problem he couldn't handle himself. I would like it more isolated. Let it breath and distinguish itself on its own for a while.
