All of the GKs are for the Shields. I'm thinking it will all become conversion fodder!

No pics as of yet but I have managed some work. ATM I have been working very long days at work and I haven't seen the sun in about a month... I do have a question that requires a little assistance. I needed the treads form a recently aquired rhino for another project, not I need something to replace them. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions as to replacement treads for my rhino? Or maybe a hover rhino? Maybe even wheels? Any help would be awesome!

Have you thought of making your own from plasticard?


Although I do like the sound of a hoverhino Turbines at each corner, perhaps utilising some of the pre-heresy jump packs that are floating around?

I saw a very good flying/hovering Rhino on Dakka awhile back.. I'll see if I can find it..

I like the hover idea a lot. I am still kicking around the idea for a wheeled rhino. Not sure which way to go! I dont want it to look "orky"

You could always go for a flintstones rhino. Having no tracks and simply having marines legs through the bottom.

That would be hilarious!

There is a Dakkaite who has some tracks for sale that are pretty awsome.

I can't remeber his name right at the moment.

I was planning on converting up a few myself.. although being the less-than-outstanding painter that I am, to do 'em justice I just might have to send 'em to you.


edit: But then again.. sending them all away across the puddle.. might be a bit more than my mediocre funding can handle.

I would fund such a trip sir! In fact, if anyone is interested in contributing to the ranks feel free I am currently talking to WarMill to make some custom bases and command squad bases and such for the shields. You should look into some toy robot for cheap awesome kit bashers for the shields and I've been out of the 40k loop for a few months may the god emperor forgive my negligence but the greyknight dred and stormhawks looking freaking amazing
