Hunter's Mantle - this revered Aspirant armour, said to have been worn by the great chapter hero Krius as he underwent training in the Scout company, this battle plate has proven resilient in the face of almost all enemy weapons its faced - and has undoubtedly saved Mekiran countless times when even his lightning-fast reflexes couldn't. Only ranged weapons with an AP of 1 ignore Mekiran's save - AP2+ do not negate his save!
Lemrata - All Aspirants are armed with one of the unique close-combat weapons known as an Honour Blade. Every Aspirant must forge his own and learn the unique style of fighting that comes with it. As the Blade is made of ultra-lightweight metal found only on the home planet of the Shields, in combination with the unique fighting style, they get +1 Initiative in combat when fighting with it. However, the fighting style requires full concentration on becoming one with the Honour Blade, so much so that no other weapon will be useable, as per a normal Honour Blade. Additionally, Lemrata is a power weapon.

Hunter Pack: Mekiran is often accompanied by his personal retinue of elite "Hunters", who have a fell reputation and are rightly feared by friend and foe alike - trained personally by Mekiran himself. Mekiran may be accompanied by up to five Hunters, using the profile below. If this option is taken, then so long as at least one of Mekiran's accompanying Hunters is still alive, he ceases to be an Independant Character and is treated as a normal member of the unit. If all Hunters are killed, Mekiran becomes an Independant Character again.

Progress is on hold on my end till get a package in the mail from a good friend. So far I need to pick up some more stuff to strip a bunch of termies and standard sm troops to fill out the core of my units. Still working on the platform for the quad dread, can't seem to find anything suitable. Soon I'm going to try my hand at some casting. That ought to be interesting

Lmao that was just excited you should of seen my face when I seen that you started on the shields again I woke my nephew up yelling F()c/ yes.but yeah I've not been into nothing that last few except playing guitar a writing music also started working on a comic book that is uhmm well to sum it up is norse mythology set in the future but today I started working on retinue to accompany thor and that retinue will be the emperors shields there not going to be spacemarines but tech vikings and your going to the land of the jountechs I know it might sound cheesy but there is a lot of violence and nudity;D...but yeah all hail the emperor his will is strong our shields are stronger...yeah that could of been better.but ill be popping by eveyday now that I know your back and also happy late birthday lol and to darkvoid nice work on the fandex.

I typed upwards of 4000 characters last night on my Phone's touch-screen. It was a real bitch; but I did it with only one word spelled incorrectly, and that was a simple lapse in concentration that resulted in me typing a totally different word than had been intended

So, having just seen this thread. I opened straight to page 12, with the color scheme samples. While it appears #7 has won that race, I feel obliged to ask if it's not too late for additional voting?

It's just that I think #6 is more menacing. I'm not sure if you want them to look more regal or scary, but if it's scary: #6 all the way. #7 is better for a regal look, imo.

Great drawings. Vignoris, in particular, is superb. Now that I've found this thread, I think I'll keep an eye on it.

Good to have you aboard Good Green! This entire thread has been a ton of effort from some really amazing people. Darkvoidof40k, Vignor and whalemusic360 amongst many contributors. I just handle making the guys. Well thinking about making the guys... Thanks to WM360 I now have everything I need to at least get a hefty start on everything. I am now the proud owner of a gak load of GKs. Though my time is very limited with the new job I'll try to get stuff going again between working and gardening with the wife.... save the jokes
