Thanks guys! I'll take a look at the head - and see if the customer likes it.

Thanks a lot.

Archaonson: Yup, they sure are.

I've been building some of the last guys for my 1750 points - I just need to build 4 more berzerkers, and paint about 12 guys, a land raider and a dreadclaw, and I've got a full 1750 points - pretty good for 4 months work, right?

Here they are.

3 more carrions (I'm taking everything in units of 8)

More berzerkers:

GuitaRAsmus, i gotta say, your models drop my jaw every time. Out of all the modellers i have seen, i really believe you manage to capture the personality of khorne perfectly. you manage to make models with fantastic personality, and yet they are not one dimensional as khorne sometimes tends to be.

What a wonderful compliment. My deepest thanks.

I've drawn, painted and modeled (clay, stone, etc) since I was very young, and my main interest have always been to convey "personality" in my works. When I came back to the hobby, I pondered a bit on what to collect (I use the word collect, since I'm not much of a gamer - my main focus is to model and paint - they WILL be fielded, but my main joy is creating the miniatures), and I looked at orks (they have a wonderful personality), Grey knights (great models, but not much possibility for conversions) and Death Guard. I really like the nurgle aesthetic (if one can call it "aesthetic" ), but there wasn't much scope for giving them a sense of action on the battlefield, and I've always liked Khorne, so I went for World Eaters. I find immense satisfaction in converting the models, and "making them come to life". I spend at least 30 minutes on each pose, often more, but I definitely think it's worth it, when I look a the army as a whole - they really look alive, each taking part in a massive diorama. I'm really looking forward to making the display board for the army - I can't wait to see them as whole force, on the board.

Sorry for the rant. Once again, thanks for the nice compliment.

It's no problem. let me give you a little background on myself. I've had a pretty dominant creative side my whole life, but have never found the way to express it and bring my ideas to life. My writing never managed to reach the level i wanted. I could never draw, no matter how hard i tried. My musical talent is non-existent. Then i found warhammer, and its been the creative outlet I've been searching for my entire life. I'm not at the level you are yet, but that is my goal. I want models that are able to capture personality as great as you can. Like you, my focus on the hobby will be the painting and modelling, which is wear my true love lies. Svartmetall is the modeler who brought me into the game with his amazing nurgle conversions, which showed me the things i would be able to do with the models if i put time, work and love into them.

I would absolutely love if you took a look at my models and critiqued me, and gave me advice (my blog is in my sig).

Funny - the reason I stopped messing with 40k 15 years ago, was because I got into music and playing guitar, which has been my main hobby (and line of work) for the past 10 years. I love playing music, couldn't imagine not being an active musician, and play at least a couple of shows a month, but it is very much a "team-sport" - with the miniatures I can indulge myself, not compromise on anything and do it whenever I like. I know it's expensive and kind of strange (no, it is - grown men playing with plastic dolls ), but I can't help falling in love with the hobby again in these past 4 months I've been back into it. Funny thing is, one of the things that really got me inspired to surf the web for hours, was Svartmetalls work too - somebody give that guy a medal!

Im making an order from forgeworld tomorrow, and am debating getting the bezerker parts. But for me, the GW kit is just fine. Are they really worth ordering when i have an entire berserker kit at my disposal?

I dont use the torsos or shoulder pads, since I really like most of the plastic pads, especially when I mix them up with possessed pads. However I think that the heads are SO FREAKIN' GOOD, that I'm buying the kit for them alone. The GW heads just don't rock my boat. The forgeworld ones are incredible - exactly what a berzerker should look like.

Im not really planning on using the GW heads as-they-are on my berserkers. I chop off the ears, and stick them on a different helmet like from the warriors of chaos, or i will use a different helmet like one from the CSM set

One of the best things about yer army is that its clear you spent a ton of time on every model. Even the lowliest, standard Berzerkers have converted poses, unique weaponry and jaw dropping paint schemes so that the whole army looks even better all together.

Now make more, I'm tired of browsing through yer old ones!

I'm reading too much fluff at the moment. Thanks a lot - and your compliment is duly noted. I definitely wanted every single warrior of this army to have personality and character.

If you wanted every warrior to have personality and character, its clear you accomplished your goal, especially with the Carrions and the Terminators.

Hehe, they sure are - one has to have a hobby. They can't be killing all the time, and 10.000 years in the warp is a long time.

I've gotten the last berzerkers built - now I've got 2 x 8 man units and 8 raptors for my 1750 point army - nice and fluffy.

Now, I've just got to paint them!

(The heads are temporary, until the FW berzerker parts arrive)

Looking very good and I second Obsidian Ravens comments

This army utterly inspires the time that is taken with every model to allow for fludity of movement and interaction with the scenery on their bases the bigger models also kick ass instead of being just pieces slapped together on a base.

Keep up the good work man cant wait to see them painted.
