Far out dude! these ALL look bloody amazing! I think it's a combo of the outstanding poses which give them such dynamism and a great simple but beautifully executed paintjob, and your conversion skills are really something else! to see these ideas in your mind and bring them to life so well is a skill a lot of people can only dream about!

The Slaughterfiend looks amazing and I love the poses you have achieved with your Carrion. The sense of motion and brutality is brilliant. As said above your paint job really brings these guys to life. Looking forward to your next project youre a constant inspiration.

Thanks! I really like your stuff as well - your dreadnought (as I mentioned before) was a great inspiration. Here's to hoping that a dreadnought with ranged weapons will actually be usable in the new codex.

*Slaughterfiends from Apoc will make their way into the Codex, along with versions for "Marked" type ones for other Legions.

*HQs making a return (lil' salt): Droomrider, Doombreed, Cypher :eek:, along with 5 newish guys.

*Unit size changes: Oblitz can come in up to 4, while most Daemon Engines can be 3 for 1...

What/where has this info come from? This is amazing news! (Assuming you're talking about a new Chaos Codex here..?)

Thanks! I can't take credit for the jump packs - they're from maxmini.eu - be wary though - they're great parts, but I also ordered some shoulder pads, they sent the wrong ones, and I sent them an email. I sent another email. 5 emails later, no response. Really crappy customer service.

The rumours are from warseer, and I'm quite excited about them myself.

What paints did you use from start to finish to get the skull/tusks to that color? I really like the effect it has and mine are close, just looking to see what may be different

I started with 2 THIN coats of dheneb stone, washed in devlan mud, and highlighted up there with a mix of bleached bone and devlan mud, working all the way up to pure bleached bone. I like darkening colours with washes - it makes them nice and thin, and keeps the surface tension in check.

As a little diversion, I just did a Chief librarian for a buddy of mine - the assignment was a cool librarian, in power armour with lots of purity seals. Here's the result:

He's standing on my worktable, and my berzerkers are throwing him some pretty mean looks.

I've been commissioned to do a Dark Apostle - the assignment said terminator armour, dark crozius and a book of lorgar, and I have pretty much free rein from there. I got really inspired tonight and worked up this guy. He's still a work in progress, but I like it a lot so far.

Nice use of parts there. He's looking pretty good. Only thing I'm not sure of is the head but the rest is looking very nice.

I think I'll have to agree with biohazard on the head. Also, I think that the braziers should be put directly mounted on his back, as the trophy rack that they're currently attached to looks sort of flimsy. Maybe if you cut away the first spine of the racks (the vertical ones) but kept the others, the torches could be moved down some.
